With a name like "HOLY GROUNDS", I walked in expecting a Christian-owned coffee shop... and found so much more! It's a Christian bookstore and gift shop as well. One wall is full of differently-flavored coffee beans. Sister got me a bag of blueberry flavored beans, coz it sounded interesting, AND it turned out delicious! The shopkeeper was just a this lovely lady who patiently explained their inventory, gave us samples and informed us of the deals. A must-visit in Grapevine. read more

This is a Christian book store and gift shop, with fantastic coffee! You can purchase whole bean, or that can grind it for you, they'll grind according to your brewing method (I use a French press, so it's really nice they don't pulverize it to dust). Everything I've had had been good, my favorites are Snickerdoodle, 89'er, and Mississippi Mud... bit I try to pick out a new one to try on each visit. They also have a coffee club, so after 10 LBS, you get a freebie. The people who work here are incredibly friendly and happy to make suggestions based upon what you enjoy. This is a nice bookstore for Christian and Catholic gift items. They sample a regular and a decaf coffee daily and even have cookies to go with! They sell lots of whole bean coffee but you cannot purchase brewed coffee only whole bean to go. Holy Grounds - "Where Everything Is Grounded In God" .... only here in Dallas would they think to mix coffee w/ God Visiting friends in Dallas this weekend, we're moseying around their historic downtown area when Holy Grounds pops out w/ their Free Snickerdoodle Coffee samples. I think.....hmmm, I'm looking for some good flavored coffee .... so in we go Entering the store reminds me we're smack-dab in the Bible Belt ... along w/ people "blessing" each other & swapping verses & scripture, TONS of religious shtuff bombards us from every direction .... wall hangings, books, pillows w/ verses, jewelry, knick knacks, brick-a-brack, crosses, crosses everywhere But wade through to the back of the store & there are lots & lots of coffee bins, w/ all kinds of flavored beans - take em whole or they'll even grind it for you I got 3 lbs to take back to SF w/ me: Snickerdoodle, Almond Amaretto, & Cinnamon Chocolate Hazelnut My true taste test for a good flavored coffee is something I can drink black. Although I doooooo prefer my yummy morning Mochas, when I'm trying to be Points-friendly, a good flavored bean does the trick I'm drinking their Almond Amaretto right now & can vouch it is strong, smooth, very flavorful & not bitter. Many times the flavor is lost after the bean is ground but these have maintained their potency........ I'm a fan! read more

Oh I so dig this place and their happy coffee beans! If you want a sniff party of java goodness for sure come here. The beans are all fresh and they will even ground them up for ya. Check out their Angel Kiss coffee and right now they also have a seasonal Pumpkin blend. I cannot wait to see what they will come up with for Christmas. RUDE I went in to get coffee and the lady who worked there (maybe owner--if not owner this lady needs a different job) was speaking loudly on phone. She completely ignores us and when I asked how you get coffee out of bins, she continued her personal conversation and ignored me. I finally set down bag and took kids to leave. Only then did she notice us--and that was because they were petting the dog and she wanted to make sure dog didn't run out. She could have cared less a sale was leaving. She didn't even remove phone from her ear when my son asked about dog, she just took Dog from my daughter kept chatting away--just rude! There was another guest in the store the lady ignored completely. Guess the phone conversation was more important than the job--oh and because it was so loud, I can assure you it was a chit chat personal call. We were in store 11:30 am on July 13. read more

Great little store. I'm not a coffee drinker, so I can't comment on the beans, though I was offered to try the roast of the day when I walked in. The lady working the day I went in was very helpful - the book I picked was not priced, so she looked through the books for a comparable book and gave me a fair price. Holy Grounds is awesome! My wife and I stopped in here on a whim because we were exploring downtown Grapevine, and we were very happy with our find. They are a neat boutique with Christian themed gifts, and they are a high-end coffee shop with some of the most amazing coffee blends. I order mine online and get the "Hawaiian Hazelnut" blend. Very nice gift and coffee shop and the staff is great. My husband and I stopped in to try a sample of the coffee, and we bought a fairly inexpensive gift for no real occasion. They did such a nice job gift wrapping the item for free that it ended up feeling like a really nice gift. They are only getting 4 stars because they are so small. I come here about once a year when I visit my friend in Dallas (I live in LA) and stock up on Christian gifts, cards, books, journals, coffee. Sure you can buy stuff online but you miss petting the store dog, the bedazzled cross shirted store workers, the coffee tasting, and as you are looking at one item your eye catches another. read more

My friend and I stumbled upon this shop while downtown shopping for Christmas gifts. Downtown was so crowded the weekend before Christmas. I appreciated that the shop only let in 10 people at a time. It is a small space and any more people with it being that crowded would have been uncomfortable. We went in for the coffee and sampled the snickerdoodle which was delicious. I ended up buying some other flavors for my boss and the girl couldn't have been more helpful and nice. She ground it up and even packaged it up pretty for the gifting. They have over 60 flavors of coffee and I definitely want to try more. My friend ended up getting a couple of lbs of snickerdoodle and gave me one. It is great with my reusable k-cup. Aside from the amazing coffee they also had a wonderful selection of gifts and books. We both bought other gifts as well. Will definitely return to this cute little shop and I highly recommend it for the coffee! read more

I absolutely love this tiny shop! You walk in, and the staff is absolutely delightful and welcoming. As you enter, the aroma of coffee hits you and it is wonderful! They always have some of their delicious coffee to sample, with cookies I might add. The crosses and paintings come from local artists and they are gorgeous. The antiqued benches on the outside were so beautiful and unique, and the tastefully decorated window caught my eye, but what drew me in to this one-of-a-kind shop on Main Street was the delicious waft of wonderful coffee emanating from inside this quaint store. The small, black, antique sign with the white chalk proclaimed "today's sample- snickerdoodle", and I knew I just had to come in and try some. As I walked into the door, I was delighted with so many unique gifts and books geared toward Christians, as I kept walking towards the back, and the smell of coffee. There was a small table with a couple of air pots, and to my surprise, lots of little, dainty cookies to consume, along with my free sample of snickerdoodle coffee. I proceeded to pump myself a small cup, completely enthralled by the aroma, as I contemplated whether I should try the ginger, or the lemon cookie. Free coffee and cookies- can you imagine? I took my first sip and was in heaven. I looked around and saw at least 40 or 50 glass containers, holding dozens of different types of flavored coffees. I knew right away that this would be my new favorite coffee shopping stop. As I walked around with my hot coffee, I smelled at least a dozen different coffees, and was never pressured to buy anything. The staff were incredibly friendly, and only asked once if they can help me and to please take my time and enjoy the store and coffee. I left the store without buying anything, and they wished me a great day; but I knew I had to write a great review for them because they were so friendly, and I intend to go back to buy some Christmas gifts for my friends! read more

I was drawn in by the scent of a fresh brew, and immediately wanted some coffee. I came in and followed my nose to the back, where there was a sampler pot. I tried some of it (Cinnamon Chocolate Almond) and really liked it. Then I noticed dozens of other flavors on the wall. I eventually found a favorite and bought some.
