Being a massage therapist, Reiki master and holistic healer myself, I immediately felt at home. My spirit felt so at ease as Palo Santo danced throughout the air within inches of Halcyon House's entrance. Then I met the lovely owner, Ms.Dinh and saw why I felt welcome before I even entered. I shopped here for over an hour. Ms. Dinh, lovingly educated me on every crystal I inquired about. This is a well organized establishment and she has a lot of patience with her clientele. First, thank you Yelp and Hong for hosting us, without this event, this beautiful shop would not have ever been on my radar. This is a little gem, just waiting to be found. I've never looked deeply into Crystal's, but this shop is the perfect place to learn how they help balance the mind and body. This is a very beautiful store, I enjoyed the peace and calm, it brings. I purchased some incents and I love them, I burn them daily to add to the cooldown when I relax for the evening. The prices are reasonable, Ms. Hong and her daughter are such a wonderful touch to this shop. They are open to questions, teaching, and helping with your spiritual journey. I absolutely adore this store!! Highly recommend a visit to Halcyon House! Located in a very unassuming strip mall, I was so pleasantly surprised by the gorgeous and welcoming interior. The owner was incredibly friendly and walked us through the entire store/their crystal offerings. They have many items other than crystals ranging from jewelry to books and tarot cards. After taking my time to explore their collection, I decided to purchase a Carnelian heart stone. The price ($14) was incredibly fair considering the size and quality of the stone. I dropped in as part of the Yelp Elite event and enjoyed it more than I had anticipated. I walked in and was joyfully greeted by a woman. She happily explained where everything was and informed me to ask if I have any questions. This is a beautiful store. The crystals, stones, scents, and ambiance. She got everything right in that regard. I was there for a little over a half hour just browsing. There's every stone you can think of, bath products, jewelry, etc. I ended up purchasing a couple stones that I hope assist me through my spiritual journey. An amazing spot in the mid-cities in the area! I had been unsure of what the shop was when previously driving by and am glad for Yelp directing me their way for me to find it! The owner was working during my visit and was very welcoming and made my visit all that much more wonderful! I loved the smells of the incense as you walk in to the store, and being able to discover so many little treasures all over the store. They have jewelry options for you to be able to find gifts for family or friends in your life with birthdays or holidays coming up, if their other options are not what you are looking for. What and incredibly cute store with so many options and lots of education. I really appreciated the help from the worker and all of the note cards to explain what each crystal is good for. What a calming experience. It was so nice to meet the owner and learn from her. I love that she allows you to walk through with the guidance of see what peaks your interest since it calls out to you and will most of the time be just what you need. I've been to a few places that are similar to this and this place stands out all on its own. It doesn't feel like an upsell for something so personal. First, an immense thank you to Hong, the owner of Halcyon House, for being so generous by participating in Yelp Elite week! I hadn't found a crystal store in the area except for this one, which I always planned to visit but never quite got around to it. Thank you for sharing your peaceful and tranquil environment with us. Hong explained how the store was laid out and told us to take our time and see which crystals spoke to us. It is really hard to put into words the thoughts and feelings I had as we worked our way through the store - I was very methodical in my approach because I knew I didn't want to miss a thing! My basket got a little heavier and heavier as we moved through the store. LOL!! I found crystals that I hadn't been able to find before! As we wrapped up our visit we began talking more with Hong and learned that this is a passion and that she left the corporate world to open Halcyon House. We had such a pleasant conversation about that, as well about where she finds her crystals, and even about our dogs that before I knew it, we talked past her closing hours! She was very gracious and didn't seem concerned about it. We talked about energy, reiki and salt caves and learned that there are local shops for each one just within a few miles of Halcyon House! Great small female owned business. They have a large selection of stones and crystals. Many are carved into figurines, many are round and small to hold in your hand and keep in your pocket. Place is wicked nice and clean, very quiet. Prices are reasonable. The lady helping us today was the owners daughter. While out and about my partner decided to take me to this shop he previously visited with Beloved. I remember wanting to go and forgot about it really but I was glad he reminded me. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by this heavenly voice. The energy walking in was peaceful & tranquil. I was immediately immersed in the vibrations. I literally could have put a recliner in and stayed a while chile. She has everything. Incense, all the crystals you can think of, sage, candles, everything. The sweet voiced owner was kind and helpful. She even remembered my partner showing me around on FaceTime during his previous visit. She has the cutest British bullie that apparently is in chill mode unless someone comes in and then he hopes he can use his cuteness to get a new play toy. It's really difficult to visit and contraindicated ourself. If I could have I would have walked out with a few more things - who am I kidding - EVERYTHING. Thankfully, I have a few days left before heading home so I think I may pick up some gifts before I go. OAN: she has a note posted because apparently money was purposefully placed at one of her tables and it was stolen by a "customer (s)".
