Experienced and helpful staff! Great selection of beads and accessories for all your jewelry making needs!

I loved this place years ago and still love it with its new owner and new name. It's actually called Be Made Beads. The selection of beads is huge, almost overwhelming. If you have no idea what you want to create, there are plenty stones, rocks, glass beads, and all the tools to create what ever your little heart desires. The staff will help you select stones and design your creation and then string it up for you. I have made my husband and son beautiful tigers eye and onyx bracelets that were less than $20-labor and supplies included. Today I drove from Rockwall for some clasps and rings for some of my silver pieces that needed repair. I got lucky and was able to have the repairs done on the spot, as there were no customers in the store. I love this place and will continue to come here when I want to make bracelets for gifts. read more

I have been coming to The Artful Bead ever since I discovered it about 6 or 7 years ago. I drive about an hour to get there bc customer service is BEYOND ANY OTHER PLACE I'VE EVER BEEN TO. They even help me and other customers with jewelry making inquiries such as which items are best suited for needs and they always give different price points to fit all budgets! Love love love love LOVE this place and its staff. I HIGHLY recommend them. In fact, it's the ONLY place I recommend for beads, wiring, findings, and anything jewelry making related. The handmade jewelry they have for sale is great, and they even have antique/unique jewelry pieces from around the world. read more

The Artful Bead is a hidden treasure trove of beads, gems, jewelry-making supplies and creativity. I wanted to make a tiny necklace for a flapper doll and bought everything I needed there, including the implements. The only thing I was missing was the knowledge of how to make it, so I took a private class with Mary. She was delightful! Not only did she teach me how to use the tools, she made the necklace and it perfectly matched the reference pictures I had of what I wanted. AND she suggested earrings, which she shaped and created in just a matter of minutes! It was so much fun. I've been back a few times and will return again and again. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! read more

What a delightful find!!!!!! I lost my cross and found this well stocked venue. They had a multitude of crosses and got a nice one. They mounted it and put it on my chain. They are fully stocked for any and all bead, mineral and craft material. Great find!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Total hidden jem. Hard to find store but once you find it, you'll want to come back again and again. Brought my daughter here to find beads as she recently got into making bead bracelets. They have handmade beads that you don't find elsewhere. This store is wonderfully organized and the ladies there are very friendly and the atmosphere is calming and serene. Let your inner creativity flow and make something beautiful! read more

This place is A+. I have bought many beads there and always been satisfied with their quality. Plus they have great classes, and will help you personally with things like replacing clasps with magnets. But the latest thing they did I'd like to mention is to knot an amber necklace. I feel like it is secure now. They did a perfect job. There's lots of closeup parking. Located in Wedgwood, easy access from Granbury Road near Hulen. read more

I have a pair of earrings that needed repair, so I took them to a jewelry repair store...they were unable to help me, but suggested I take them to "the artful bead"! I didn't hold out much hope, but thought why not give it a shot...!! I found the store and they immediately said, "no problem-give us a couple of days"! In less than 2 hours, they called and said they were ready! Wonderful store and super nice staff! read more

Wonderful selection. This store is a hidden gem! The staff member (the owner?) who was working at the time was very helpful.

My daughter and I just took a necklace class with Mary and had so much fun! She taught us how to make our own necklaces and earrings. We can't wait to go back. The store is wonderful and the people there love what they do. Highly recommend. read more

This is an awesome store. I take my pearls here every couple years to get them restrung, and they always do an absolutely fantastic job. I dropped them off and they returned them to me two days later, the workmanship is excellent, they are always very helpful and friendly, I couldn't be happier. Thank you Mary! read more

Clean and organized store that is fun to create in. Most importantly, the staff is ultra-friendly and helped my niece create a super duper bracelet. They offered her their expertise without pressuring her to steer one way or the other. We had a really fun day. Recommended!!!! read more

This shop is incredible! The ladies there are so friendly and nice and the owner, Mary, is a crack up :) They have helped me several times to match things up and give suggestions when I was stuck. Super cute little bead store. I never realized it was even there until this past weekend. But they've got a good selection of semi-precious stone beads, & don't overcharge for them. Definitely will be back again. read more

Adorable bead store that caters to the bead novices and experts alike. Everything is well laid out and they provide you with a sharpie pen and little baggies to mark your prices yourself. Most of the prices for beads are comparable to Hobby Lobby regular prices. The prices for clasps and charms can run higher. They also have classes available but I've never taken one. read more

The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. They have a wide range of merchandise and their available classes are a plus.

More than a shop - it feels almost like a community center for creative types. They are helpful, have great classes, ready to answer questions. If you are in a hurry, they will help you find what you need and get on your way. Or if you want to take your time looking around, you are welcome to do that. Or just have a seat and visit a bit. Just a great place. read more

This place is fun! I agree that Mary is a crack-up, and everyone who works there is great! Good selection of glass and gemstone beads plus everything in between. I have taken classes there and enjoyed them. read more

Great selection of not only beads, but something for everyone's price range. I usually work only with semi-precious and precious stones and it's hard to find things locally. This store has it! The only thing critical I have to say is that if a class is going on it's a bit difficult to get help. Just a minor issue. This store is my fill in supply house between trips to the NY Bead District. read more
