I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Quigley Clay in Fort Worth.
I took my adopted daughter there for her first wheel-throwing experience, and she was so excited. Unfortunately, as a teacher, my work schedule makes it difficult to leave on time. By the time I get home, I am exhausted. I also work a second job on weekends, so finding time to come back and finish the pieces was extremely difficult.
When I finally had time to pick up our pieces, I was told that it was already past the 45-day deadline--by only **2 days**. The clay and pieces we paid for totaled a little over **$157**, and now we have nothing to show for it.
What makes this even more frustrating is the lack of communication. I received one email reminding me about the wheel-throwing appointment, but I did not receive any follow-up reminder that the 45-day deadline was approaching or that my pieces were at risk of being discarded. The only other communication seemed to be emails promoting or selling products.
When I contacted them and asked if there was any possible solution, I was simply told to **"buy a new one and book an appointment."**
That response was incredibly disappointing, especially because this was not just about the money. This was supposed to be a special first experience for my adopted daughter. Seeing how disappointed she was was heartbreaking.
I understand that businesses have policies, but I believe there should be some reasonable communication and consideration when a customer is only **two days past a deadline**, especially when the customer was not given a reminder that the deadline was approaching.
Unfortunately, based on my experience, **I would not recommend Quigley Clay.** If you decide to go, make sure you know the deadline and keep track of it yourself--because apparently, once that deadline passes, even by two days, the answer may simply be to pay again. read more
