Talked to Christina at Devin's about 30 minutes before they closed. Christina was very helpful and patient while I figured out what we wanted. I then wasn't sure what I wanted the message to say, and she said I could think it over and let her know. I called Saturday morning and gave her the message for the card. Christina was ready to take down the message and make sure it got put with the flowers we ordered. The flowers were delivered by noon Saturday and were gorgeous! Rarely do i leave a negative review. I order flowers frequently and was really disappointed in the price of this arrangement. I paid for a large arrangement and paid for the premium optional upgrade. I left my phone number and said florists choice please call if you have any questions. I didn't hear from anyone, so I called to make sure they received my order, and they said it was already out for delivery. I requested a photo from the driver, which she said would maybe be possible, which i thought was strange. They did send a photo, which I appreciate, but I was surprised when I saw the arrangement. it looked so regular, not particularly large and not premium, in my opinion. If you are curious about value and price, I attached my invoice and a photo of the $270 arrangement. I have had so many better experiences with shops all over, and i always make an extra effort to order directly from small flower shops and find that most places over deliver and exceed my expectations. I needed one of those mini bridesmaids bouquets that girls are now carrying at prom. I had no idea it was a thing and literally had a few days to get it together so my son wouldn't look like a total weenie to his girlfriend. I purchased a corsage for prom this past Saturday I ordered it in April and the cost was $75 that included tax. I was a little bit disturbed by the price when I ordered the corsage but thought that hopefully the corsage would reflect the price that I paid well it didn't it was one flower with some greenery and a ribbon attached to it and fabric covered elastic. I am really really disappointed in this local business. I always try to shop locally to support all the local businesses but when a local business takes advantage of me due to being a captive audience at Prom time that really really disappoints me!! In contrast, her husband bought a similar dozen roses at a local grocery store on the same day - for less than half the price - and they lasted over twice as long. Adding insult to injury was the lack of customer service and the desire to make amends. Extremely disappointed. I called to have an arrangement delivered. I was notified that the delivery person was at the home and no one was there to accept the delivery. They never called ahead to make sure someone could accept. They then asked if someone could go to the shop to pick up or they would charge me again for another delivery! Leaving with a neighbor was unacceptable. I became suspicious when they were delivered in an hour and realized that they took something out from the refrigerator and never did an arrangement. I stopped by and asked plenty of questions and just to ensure they delivered to the far off land these flowers were going to. They reassured me that if I ordered early enough I could pretty much set up a specific time to have the roses delivered. I talked to the ladies about how they did their arrangements and left it up to them since they were the professionals. I was very happy with the entire process and they made all things quite simple. My friend was quite happy with the flowers and the talk of her office. The flowers looked amazing and she said they smelled wonderful. I've known for years-- even before I met my husband-- that Devin Designs would be my wedding florist. Darla is the most talented floral artist I've ever met. I tried this florist, dangerously enough, for mothers day- I know- I live on the edge sometimes. I thought their website was appealing and had some nice examples of their work. But I have to say, when the flowers arrived, I was in shock at how gorgeous they were. I expected a nice bouquet, as its not what I call a cone shaped arrangement with a teddy bear and some kind of fruit thrown in.
