I tried this florist, dangerously enough, for mothers day- I know- I live on the edge sometimes. I thought their website was appealing and had some nice examples of their work. But I have to say, when the flowers arrived, I was in shock at how gorgeous they were. I expected a nice bouquet, as its not what I call a cone shaped arrangement with a teddy bear and some kind of fruit thrown in. I am very pleased with the floral design that was sent to my beloved Aunt! I am a florist in the Houston area with the highest level of standards and that makes me hard to impress. I am usually disappointed with flowers that I send to loved ones, but, as all my family lives in other cities, I have no other choice but to trust another florist to do what I cannot do myself. They even packed the arrangements in a box so they wouldn't tip while I drove to the cemetery, and they gave me a couple of bottles of water to top/off the containers to give the flowers a chance to last longer outside. I would love to give a zero star but I must be somewhat fair because the arrangement was gorgeous although the lack of communication between employee and the delivery person was horrible. When I placed my order I was very specific in where I needed the flowers delivered because it was a huge place and they assured me that this was not going to be a problem. Heres where the problems began. Flowers dropped off without specific info on the delivery card. The people that the flowers were dropped off to had no idea where they were going so they were delivered to the wrong person with my girlfriends last name. Next problem... girlfriend didn't get flowers on Valentines Day, next problem... We had to hunt down the flowers ourselves and have security and concierge help us look for them. The Major problem was when I contacted Darla Denton I was very specific that there was an issue with the delivery. Instead of helping me find a solution she instead blamed everyone else an came up with a million excuses. Never once took ownership in the situation. Which infuriates me when someone stands by a mission statement but uses them for words instead of actually following through. We were not looking for a refund we just wanted to find our flowers which we did find them on our own with no help from them. She did offer a refund only if I brought the flowers back. But not a full refund, only the cost of the flowers. Who does that???? I told her she could keep the money and she was missing the point and she would probably never get it!!! Keep hiding behind your fake Mission Statement! We have built an excellent reputation on beautiful flowers. (Yes, they were pretty) and prompt service. Yes, they got there on time but not the right place nor with the right instructions) If we ever fail to meet your expectations, Please, let us know. SO GOOD! We booked them pretty close to our wedding date, and my mom and I were very picky and met with them so many times, and they were always so helpful and friendly. They were never rude to us, or telling us "let us just do our job," which they probably should have done. But as a bride and her mother, we just wanted everything to be perfect, and it definitely was. I just stumbled into this shop while looking for a wedding florist after getting some other quotes on flowers that were through the roof. I showed Darla (I didn't even know she was the owner at the time) pictures of the flowers I wanted and man did she deliver. She is the best vendor I worked with for my wedding. She sends a straight-forward price list so you know exactly what you are being charged and I am tearing up thinking about the whole experience. Darla had so much going on at the time, both business related and personal, that I was not aware of until later, but she always made me feel like I was the only one she was working with. On top of that, she doesn't exploit her prices just because you're having an event. You get charged what she would ask from anyone else ordering a regular bouquet of flowers. When I finally saw them they were GORGEOUS and exactly what I had asked for and matched the pictures I gave her to a T. Walked in and showed them my dress they brought out the perfect color. When I came to pick it up it was nothing like what they showed me. They were going to make me pay extra to change it after I payed 77$ for it. I was not. Finally she said she didn't realized someone showed me one and fixed it.
