Gorgeous mansion perfect for a wedding venue We really had a great time celebrating my niece's wedding at this dreamy mansion! Lots of space for guests and for taking photos, etc.

Was here as a bridesmaid in support of one of my closest friends from high school's wedding. From high school together in Seoul, South Korea to this Absolutely STUNNING venue!! I'm extremely happy for my friend! Reminds me of the Netflix series Bridgeton! Lol Simply Beautiful!

My dream wedding venue! We were planning to have a destination wedding in Italy and when that did not go as planned due to COVID etc, we chose the Olana. The Olana looks like you are somewhere in Europe not in Texas. It is incredible. All of our guests were amazing just pulling up to the venue. I cannot say as many great things about this venue. I felt like a princess marrying my prince in a castle. Our day was smooth and if things went wrong I did not know a single thing! We were able to use their suggestions with vendors and they were always there to help take off some of the planning stress. Thank you so much to Kayla and the rest of the team for our best day ever! The most beautiful memories we have will be here. Highly recommend it if you are hesitant about booking here the bad reviews are from another management team!

We filmed a wedding here and it was really easy to navigate around, despite being so large. All of the guests seemed to have an enjoyable time and the married couple seemed to be taken care of quite well. Would love to film here more if anyone is looking! -Oudthone Productions

Email from the current GM to us approving the full deposit being returned. Apparently it doesn't hold ANY WEIGHT

Had my wedding here end of October and the venue itself is beautiful, but the staff in it is A NIGHTMARE! beware before you book! Especially if dealing with the newly hired GM Jordan. This place is a revolving door - we have dealt with 3 GM in the time of planning - had to re explain everything and now we are dealing with an accounting nightmare. Things were promised, deposits to be returned etc and because the people who promised these things no longer work there they refuse to honor them. They take zero accountability for their disorganization, and unprofessionalism. During the wedding the chef admitted to "forgetting" about the special dietary foods for some of our guests, so all they ate was sides. They did not even tell us about this, the guests told us about it a week after the wedding that they did not get fed! They couldn't even take accountability in the moment and just didn't tell us. Don't be fooled with the beauty of this place as it is not worth the nightmare. I am attaching the email from the GM where they have approved to refund us our deposit and now the accountant, Jesse H, is refusing to provide it to us and takes weeks to even respond to emails and they do not have phone numbers to call! Jordan let's all calls roll to her voicemail and is extremely hard to get a hold of. I also left voicemail for GM boss, Daniel, and I also never got a return call to Discuss all the misleading information we received. BEWARE

The Olana is absolutely stunning! It is a one of a kind venue that can't compete aesthetically with any other the venue.

It is HUGE - definitely the largest splash pad I've seen in terms of sheer size. It is designed so that the water spouts at the top of the splash pad form a small river that flows down to the lower area, where there are more spouts, plus rocks to climb on and grassy (turf) hills to roll down. My kids like bringing small toys and racing them down the river. The real star here is the shaded observation area for the mamas, though. There is no other park that treats us so well, providing expansive shade tents all the way around the park. There are picnic tables, but for the most part it's BYOC (bring your own chair) - or blanket - and set up shop on the turf, under the shade, in an elevated spot so you can keep an eye on the littles playing below. The bathrooms are new and usually pretty clean, although sometimes they do still smell like a porta potty. The splash pad hours are kind of a bummer, with the water not turning on until 10am. In the peak heat of the summer, we would be there waiting right at 10, but by 12:30 or so the water already felt like bath water - not refreshing and honestly kind of gross. I wish it opened at 8am so we could enjoy it for longer. Now that summer is over, the splash pad is only open on the weekends. They have a super helpful and very clear calendar which posts the hours here: https://www.highlandvillage.org/calendar.aspx?CID=31&showPastEvents=false There is a traditional playground directly adjacent to the splash pad, but it's unremarkable - certainly nothing you'd drive out of your way for. The rest of the park is BEAUTIFUL and well landscaped. I'm not sure what they use that massive pavilion for, but honestly I think it makes a case for a good wedding venue! If you're looking for a splash pad to add to your summer rotation, put this one on the list.

This sprawling estate is able to accommodate lots of guests (vehicles included) for all different types of functions. Everything about the property is ostentatiously southern, which might seem kitschy to non Texans, but for locals it just feels comfortable and familiar. Since I was there for a banquet, the first thing I have to talk about is the food. It seemed only appropriate that barbecue was on the menu with things like brisket, smoked sausage and baked beans, all served buffet style. While it was respectable enough, the quality was closer to Dickey's or Spring Creek than more authentic Texas barbecue. I thought the bread pudding they had for dessert was a good choice since I don't see that very often, plus it was very tasty. This place also has several built in bars because at social events people need their adult libations! There were only a handful of options available, but frozen margaritas was one of them, so that totally made up for the small selection. In addition to special events and private parties they also host market days open to the public. For that they have local vendors selling their goods along with other family friendly activities, such as pony rides, a petting zoo and rodeo. Although I haven't been before, I'm inspired to go now after seeing how well they handled the event that we did attend.

It was a little cold there, so I did not go outside to the patio area. However it was very spacious. There was also a star with a live band and plenty of dancing space. There was also a basketball court available, as well as what appeared to be a campfire area. It is sufficient space for big events. The bathrooms were also clean, which is a plus. While I don't know the logistics of booming, as it was a corporate event, everything was well organized.

They are not business savvy enough to realize the mistake they made mistreating people in a movement that would bring them a lot of future business. A friend of mine rented this space with the goal of bringing Zumba events to Denton, and brought Instructors both local and from far and wide for a Zumba masterclass at this space. She had conversations prior with management to set expectations. They verbally agreed about the music being loud (That's Zumba!), the microphone and sound equipment needs, and she was assured that the needs would be met. Needless to say, on the day of the event, those agreements were flipped on the head. We were met with aggressive management staff that had their noses up in the air, who reprimanded my friend right in front of the whole crowd of people. They talked down to her and the rest of us who tried to have a reasonable conversation with them, as though we and the rest of the people who had come for the event were beneath them. Everything was a problem. The volume, apparently the sight of us in our skin, the colors, where we put our belongings, the way we breathed were met with hostility and disgust. It's stressful and hard enough to put on an event of that magnitude, so having the managers yelling at the event organizer caused her to break down crying. The managers were relentless, had no mercy and kept talking down to her and asking her to turn down the volume. The microphone stopped working which is horrible for a hosted Zumba event. The event organizer was never told that the event space would be open to the public and that people would be walking into an event that was paid for. One of the younger managers had the nerve to condescendly ask her if she hadn't looked at their website prior, to research what their organization was about. What does that have to do with someone paying you for an event that you agreed to? Let's be clear... These managers are racist and biased and don't want people such as "us" in their art gallery space. What kind of people are "we"? A teacher, an engineer, an actor/documentarian that is the inspiration behind you and your girlfriend's favorite Texan movie? CEOs of their own companies, business owners? These "kinds" of people. When the main manager saw the outpouring of love for my friend who put the event together, it literally dawned on her what the potential impact would be. Then she started to flounder, retract herself and start to make conversations to smooth things over. It was a little too late. At this point we already had such a bad taste in our mouths. It's such a missed business opportunity, because the Zumba community has events literally every other week. There would have been so many other Zumba events there if this had been a positive experience for us. It's quite unfortunate in this day and age that people are still so biased and judgemental. You have no idea who you are interacting with. Be careful how you treat people.
