I attended a wedding here so all my observations are from the perspective of a guest, with no knowledge of anything that occurred behind the scenes. The venue is a little out of the way, even if you live in Denton county, but totally worth the trek. A stately manor out in the country is an idyllic place for a dream wedding. Of course all that space means there's plenty of parking too. Rain was headed our way just as the event started so we got to experience a partially outdoor, but mostly indoor ceremony. Either way would have been nice, although I did prefer sitting inside where we didn't have to contend with the wind and heat. Appetizers and cocktails followed which allowed the guests to mingle while the wedding party had their photos taken. They also had a photo booth set up with props available for guests to contribute their own playful pics. The point that it stopped being a 5 star experience was at dinner. They served Cajun cuisine buffet style, and I have to say that the food looked and sounded better than it tasted. If I had to rate the meal alone I'd give it 3 stars. It was also served late which caused all subsequent activities to be behind schedule. The DJ was lively and kept everyone entertained throughout the evening. Not only did he play good, danceable music, he hosted a couple of fun games involving the happy couple and all the guests. I would definitely recommend Milestone Mansion for anyone's upcoming nuptials. Overall, it was an enjoyable, memorable occasion in a beautiful setting. read more

I came here recently to attend my friend's wedding. Milestone Denton Mansion is a beautiful venue inside and outside. I love the colonial style home and enjoyed looking out into the multiple acres of land. The wedding took place indoors in one of the beautiful rooms and the reception across the hall. Our D.J. Toko did a great job with the music selection mix and the Photo Booth was fun too. The food and drink selection was decent. The bridal suite was beautiful and spacious as well. The staff were attentive and kind throughout my time there. This venue is a beautiful choice for a wedding and reception. read more

This is an absolutely magnificent venue for a wedding and reception. Recently my niece had her wedding and reception at the The Milestone Denton Mansion. The mansion sits on 15 beautiful acres and the back lawn with the Gazebo was a perfect setting for a lovely couple to exchange their vows. The reception was took place in a elegant hall which transformed into a ballroom after the guests were well fed. I can only sing songs of praises for The Milestone and the staff that orchestrated a most memorable event. read more

This venue is completely out of line during the COVID-19 pandemic. My dear friend was unable to postpone her wedding due to losing her full payment with the venue! Her now husband is even a first responder!! The staff were rude to her family/guests on the special day, there was a crowded line for the bar, refilling water was a chore, and the security guard was MIA until the very end of the reception. She was seen in the kitchen hanging out. The chairs had stains on them. The tablecloths were WRINKLED and the wrong color. The most positive view of this venue was outdoors. I feel for my friend. No bride should be pressured to have their special day during a PANDEMIC! What's worse, with the surge of positive COVID-19 cases, brides are still being forced to have their weddings without the option of postponing! Overall, it was a basic venue, and my friend's decor made it beautiful. If you plan to go with this venue (please don't) be prepared for a headache. They are highly insensitive. read more

Came here for a 60th bday party on Sunday and it was great. The first and only drawback that I noticed is the location was basically a couple minutes past Denton. So anyone who lives in Dallas or anywhere south of Lewisville...it will take awhile to get here. Anyways, the venue is on a multi acre plot of land I'm guessing, a nice two story McMansion with a gazebo and pond in the back of the property. The venue probably holds max of 200 or 250. The food and alcohol selection was solid. If you are going to have a small wedding, check out this place. read more

My daughters wedding venue was at The Milestone Denton (Krum,TX) last weekend. The event space is beautiful inside as well as the grounds. The bridal suite was spacious and a beautiful backdrop for photos. The food was delicious. The coordinators and event staff were pleasant and easy to work with-- especially day of the wedding. Susanna and Delaney did an excellent job overseeing the set up and tear down of the venue, keeping to the brides preferences. The event remained on schedule and guests had a memorable time. The coordinators were responsive and handled the communication with vendors so the bride and parents could focus on getting dressed, the photos, the ceremony and greeting guests. Highly Professional, responsive, clear communication, gracious, and pleasant to work with from beginning to end! read more

My friend had her wedding here last week and so much went wrong the day of the wedding thanks to this joke of a venue and snippy staff. Here are only a few examples: 1. The family specifically asked for a 8 ft isle with the chairs lined perfectly straight, one behind the other. They get there and the isle is in the shape of a triangle. The chairs began in the correct formation but fanned out in a very odd shape. The venue refused to move the chairs and made the family of the bride rearrange 130+ chairs. Which leads me to #2 2. While rearranging the screwed up chairs the family realizes the chairs are absolutely FILTHY. A groomsman, the father and step mother of the bride had to HAND CLEAN the nasty chairs with Clorox wipes and paper towels from the venue because the staff couldn't be bothered to even look for cleaning supplies or help them clean. There was dust, outdoor crud, bird poop, mice poop, cobwebs and VOMIT, yes vomit covering the chairs that guests in expensive outfits were supposed to sit in. (I was in a $400 dress). 3. They called an exterminator THE DAY OF the wedding to kill the swarm of wasps in the gazebo. The exterminator showed up 1 hour before the wedding started. Those are only 3 of the LIST of complains people had. Fu*k this place read more

Waite staff did not speed English my guest could not order drinks had to point at what they wanted. Then at cake cutting they took cake away to the back to cut more than needed slices and in a unprofessional way that made saving the left over cake terrible. They even took away the PRESLICED groomed cheesecake most of my guest left with out having cake so they didn't stay for any dancing or the send off. Then I heard during clean up the cake plates and pillars my mom supplied to save us $70 was stolen by a waiter and already in his car! Again this was hard to find out because no translator for the on-site manager and waite staff. It's very sad because everything else about them was perfect I'm post stroke and the English speaking staff that helped in the ceremony was very attentive for temp control, volume level, and helping me not get exhausted. Our dj was very attentive on music and not triggering my anxiety. Playing music we liked and helped the ceremony music flow. Florist gave me a bouquet of my dreams with out making it heavy- making me not be able to hold it for long- in our price range, and with realistic silk flowers so I can keep it for ever and not pay for a service. Cake was delicious with great balance of cake to icing ratio and had the lace pattern and old fashion hand piping I love. The photographer was the only person not to understand what a post-stroke person meant. It's the real beginning of summer and she wants me to walk around the grounds in a ball gown wedding dress to take photos DURING MY wedding. My wedding planner laid out when, what, and how long it should take pics we wanted and the photographer resisted at every step. We wanted sunset pics at the gazebo (where we initially were going to have the ceremony) but she went to the front of building and walking up a hill wanting. I told my now husband I can't do that. He told her and we went to the back. She sees the lake and wants us to go down a steep hill. The videographer has to tell her that I probably can't make it back up. We get are pics and go inside and she wants more in the front and tries to say it's shaded now in the front. I'm done with photos and ticked off as I see more guest have left. I hear Whitney Huston. "I wanna dance with somebody" and I really wanted to dance with my husband to this so I tell her "I'm done with pictures" and pull hubby to dance floor the music energizing me. Only he has no energy from being in the heat and needs to sit down so I grab my nephew and dance with him. Don't let the photographer rule the wedding. read more

Little piece of advice, stop forcing brides to have their weddings during a pandemic. My friend had a stunning wedding, but no bride should have to endure the stress and obligation of not getting people sick. She spent the last 2 weeks praying no one would call saying they were sick as a result of her once in a lifetime celebration. The "show must go on" does not work in this climate. Take care of your brides, take care of the happy memories they deserve to cherish for a lifetime, focus on the experience of others, be considerate. WAKE UP - you're doing it wrong. read more

This venue has not been accommodating at all with COVID. I've started calling back in May about rescheduling. I was told I was unable because my date is so late in Nov. I kept calling back almost monthly to ask how about now...I was told they can have private events until state has a mandate lockdown. They reassured me CDC measures of health and safety were implemented. Finally this week...two months before my date, I was told if I met one of the 4 qualifications then we can reschedule. The qualifications were either myself or fiance had COVID (8wks prior to our date), military order, doctor note stating either one of us or parents is immunocompromised, or employer note saying we cannot attend mass gatherings. We were very hopeful about this. I had to go through hoops to get a doctor note stating my father has diabetes, which would make him immunocompromised. On CDC website page, this is listed to imply you are immunocompromised. Apparently their legal team said it will not suffice to just have a note stating medical condition so we can't get a postponement. 90% of our guest are traveling...many whom have cancelled. Venue again also mentioned we will still be charged for the minimum guest count. Other funds can be allocated to elsewhere parts of venue like more food or drinks. Again, no care or anything about bride and grooms special date. I can't express more my feelings about my situation or story. Friendly staff is all good I can say. I've done many research so far if I'm alone on this. Clearly I am not the only bride. There are lawsuits against this wedding company. Please do yourself a favor and spread the word. I don't want any other bride to go through and admit defeat like I have for their happy special day. read more

I will start with the positive aspects because there are several. The staff were very responsive to all inquiries and the venue is absolutely beautiful. The problems began the day of the wedding. This venue does not allow anyone to even drop any decorations off prior the time that they determine (which was not sufficient in our situation) and when guests began showing up, all the tables weren't even set yet with plates, silverware, and napkins. Our DJ (who was set up and ready to go on time) and several of our guests had to assist with set up. My other complaint is the dinner service. The food was not hot and the servers provided very small portions, which isn't much a problem really however, when guests asked for a bit more food to be placed on their plates they were told that they could come back for seconds which is absolutely unacceptable when a venue charges the kind of money that the Milestone charges. In addition to the inadequate dinner portions, we were assured that they would not run out of anything at the bar and they definitely ran out of Chardonnay an hour before the reception was over. The amount that the Milestone charges does not translate into the quality that you get. Again, the venue is beautiful and the staff members are friendly but that's where it ends. read more

Absolutely beautiful wedding venue. 16 years ago, I got married in n the DFW metro area and we so wish a venue like this had existed. We toured dozens of churches and eventually picked one that had the best environment. A good friend was married there last week, so I had no experience with staff. However, I'm a pastor and I've officiated well over 50 weddings and from all my experience, this is one of the top 2-3 venues I've seen. The location is incredible. 10-12 minutes outside of Denton, which has become a great destination city. The landscape and exterior facility is STUNNING! Do beautiful. The interior is beautiful and classic. It's just too hot for summer outdoor weddings... But this place has created the perfect indoor venue for the summer months, but has a great environment for outdoor stuff when the weather is nice. Amazing place! read more

The Milestone is such a beautiful, elegant venue. And as hard as planning a wedding can be, they took so much of the work and stress off of us! Everything was so well-done and we had all the help we needed and then some. I think we met up to plan everything out maybe 5 times and called a total of 6 times to iron out details and to update the statuses of things, but that was it! It never felt planned out for us or structured so that we felt like just another couple, it just felt like everything was in the most capable hands possible. They handle everything so well and it all went so smoothly! We didn't have to worry about anything leading up to and on the day of, and everything turned out better than we imagined. Don't be turned off by the fact that they host several weddings a week. We were treated so well and the experience was so special and personalized that you feel like the only couple they're working with. Meghan was our planner and saw us through from showing us around on the first day to seeing us off with family and friends on the day of the wedding! It was really a perfect day planned out so easily and put on so beautifully, I totally recommend checking out The Milestone for every engaged couple. And if you're invited to a wedding here, absolutely attend it. read more

We only used The Milestone catering at the Aristide-Flower Mound location. We chose their brunch station package and it was a hit for the daytime wedding. We used the omelette and Belgium waffle chef station and the yogurt parfait station. All our food was ready when we arrived in the reception and it appeared that all our guests moved quickly through the lines. Overall, we were impressed with the food they made for our wedding! I got married here about a year ago. It was wonderful! The coordinators are good at what they do and you get the entire venue for the entire day (unless there is a rehearsal, but you are still allowed to be there and just work around it). The all inclusive packages are nice too because you have the option to get credits for what you don't want. You still have to have a decent size budget to get married here, but it's workable depending on what you want. I am proud to say this was where I got married! The bar pricing (to bring in your own liquor and bar tenders) was a little high to me, but it wasn't a breaking point. read more

The coordinator, Keri, and all the staff were the utmost professionals and are just genuinely kind people! Everything ran smoothly and we heard rave reviews and compliments from the guests all evening. As to the food, the breaded chicken with lemon butter sauce was one of the best things I've ever tasted! I booked The Milestone- Denton over two years ago when I first got engaged. They are amazing. I live in Hawaii, but got married in Texas because my grandparents lived here. They did their best to make sure that everything went well for us. Keri was my venue coordinator. She went above and beyond. She stayed late to work on my details meeting because of the time difference between Hawaii and Texas. She even came in on her day off so that I would feel better about having my day of coordinator at my rehearsal dinner rather than someone else. I'm glad that I found them. The venue is gorgeous. It has a very southern feel to it. The food was amazing! They made Kalua pig for the first time and did a fantastic job! It tasted exactly like it was supposed to. The alcohol was great. The staff was fabulous. I would recommend this venue to everyone and I would definitely recommend Keri! read more

I am extremely disappointed in this venue and the way they choose to treat their brides, families and guests. During a pandemic of such uncertain and uncontrollable times you'd think they'd care more about the health and well being of others rather than their money. I attended a beautiful wedding for my dear friend, granted it was beautiful because she made it that way. However, the amount of stress and worry that came with being forced to hold her wedding during a pandemic is absolutely ridiculous. No bride should be forced to continue with their special day while worrying about the safety of their guests because the venue refuses to refund or safely accommodate and move the date. Perhaps you should check your values and mission and align your behavior with the COVID-19 statement on your website. You promise to deliver an exceptional experience and that the health and safety of guests is your number one priority. I believe you've fallen short, and that experience should be exceptional from booking, planning, to end. read more

I recently got married here August 30, 2015. This was by far the best day of my life! My guest are still speaking of the elegance and the beauty of the venue to this day. The whole year of planning was very detailed and organized thanks to Lauren. She made sure that we were aware of the timeline and all the information that was needed. My husband and I are so very grateful to have found this gem in the countryside of Denton.
