Parking is a nightmare. We stood in line just so we could stand in another very long line. We only saw 3 Porta potties, which didn't have toilet paper. We had to walk through a muddy trail, which trashed my shoes. When you leave the main haunt, we had to wait in line to exit, they never told us the wait was for one of the other attractions. The actors did a good job staying in character, but It was overall pretty disappointing. I had 2 jump scares in the whole thing. The fact that you no longer go through the house is a bummer. It is all outside. It used to be a fun place to go, but I won't go back again after that experience. read more

I appreciate all the work that goes into making a haunt however this was disorganized and disappointing. The parking lot is very small and cars were waiting long times just to enter. We waited in 2 lines to get in, then waited again to get out. There are no employees or signs stating that you have to wait to get on the zombie attraction with the paintballs so everyone just waits at the very end in a long line. We were expecting a big scare at the end however it just...ends. The Porta potties are not clean, no toilet paper or hand sanitizer to be found. There is also an odor of pee around the entire property (not sure, maybe that's just part of the experience??) The actors did a fabulous job of staying in character and we enjoyed the walk in the woods. I do hope that the attraction will improve, there is so much potential! read more

Took my 14 year-old bonus teenager to her 1st ever haunted experience. She loved it! We told all of the spooky crew it was her first time, and they did a great job sending extra spookiest her way. There was a nice mix of real people, animations, and still life scary goodies. We did it all - the haunted house, the outdoor forest, the zombie outbreak, and the Psychology circus tent. The zombie kill trailer was fun! Blasting glow in the dark paintball like balls at moving zombies! Only downside was the line. They had an earlier event for littles that ran way long (more people showed up than had bought online tickets). So instead of the haunted experience started at 8 pm, we were in line from about 745 until 930. We did buy the express pass. We were some of the last to leave so not everyone did the entire experience. Leaving was a breeze. read more

REVIEW FROM AN EMPLOYEE PERSPECTIVE: I have worked at the Parker House for two consecutive seasons, and there are a few things I'd like to say regaurding the experiance. Firstly I'd like to mention that there are ups and downs to working here. Inherently the job is super fun! You get to wear crazy makeup and cool outfits and scare the crap out of people. On the other hand though working here has been a bit of a struggle. For one the working conditions aren't that great, in the actor "break" area (which is just an open area between trailers) has ramps, stairs, and flooring that is all made out of unstable wood. We've had actors fall through the floors before. We also have to use portapotties if we need to go to the bathroom which are consistantly dirty, and there isn't anywhere to wash our hands afterwards. Furthermore, as I mentioned, I am a returning worker. This year I was paid less than last season, but was given the opportunity for an additional hourly bonus. The qualifications for the bonus however were very unclear, and I never ended up recieving said bonus. On top of this I have a disability, and I clearly stated this in my paperwork both seasons, and it was blatantly disregaurded when it was brought up. Because of all this I will not be returning next season, I hope this is helpful to anyone thinking of working here. read more

The lights were out on more than half of your scenes. "15-18" minutes (so they claim) is not worth $27. Due to not wanting to update their sprinkler system to the Counties requirements they moved everything to be 100% outside (which is fine). There is no hayride, they CLAIM that it is a half mile trail, that there were 35 scenes in total and 42 actors. We saw MAYBE 12 of those "42" actors. When having to cut down on the length and amount of scenes, consider cutting down the price. I paid $27 expecting this year to equal if not top last years experience but there was significantly less. Don't waste your money, time and gas driving out there. Try harder next year. Do not...I repeat DO NOT waste your time and money at The Parker House haunted house in Denton. Go look at the low rated reviews and read the comments from one of the workers named Preston East. Accusing someone of blackmailing them for a refund, calling someone a trailer park ho and flat out being horrible to others. In years past it was a great attraction but it went south FAST this season....such a shame. read more

Long story short, I was given the wrong directions for the line I was supposed to be in for the Zombie Outbreak. I waited an hour and 30 minutes just to be sent back to another massive line. When I told the lady at the ticket booth about the directions mistake, she was totally unsympathetic. Not her fault apparently. So, I go to wait in the right line this time. 1 hour and 15 minutes and then I finally go on the zombie hayride. This was supposed to be a "zombie outbreak"? It was just on guy standing in the middle of a junkyard wearing a helmet. Extreme waste of money and time. I will never come back here. Save your money. read more

We were hesitant to check out The Parker House because the most recent reviews were so poor. However, I think we were pleasantly surprised with how much we enjoyed this haunted house! Don't get me wrong, if you're genuinely wanting to be scared this may not be what you're looking for. But for $25, I think we got our money's worth. The haunted "house" is actually all outside. The Parker House is located on a large piece of land right outside Denton (It was about a 10 minute Uber from Fry Street). We arrived at about 11 PM on a Friday night, there was barely a line and we only waited about 15 minutes or so before we could go inside. We felt like the lack of people added to the creepiness since it was fairly quiet. They space the "victims" out as they enter so none of the jump scares are spoiled, unlike previous haunted houses I've been to where you can see the actors interact with the group ahead of you. I will also say that a lot of the actors broke character with us but I don't think this upset anyone in my group. If anything it made our experience more fun/comical. I think a lot of them are probably high school/college students with a seasonal job! The website and the sign outside the place said "cash only", but the woman at the front said she was able to take our card. Don't quote me on this, but I think she said something about the square upcharging cards so they don't do it often. There is cell phone service out there so if you get there without cash, you can buy the ticket on your phone while in line and you should be fine. Overall, I enjoyed my experience. It was a fun activity for my friends and I after a short pregame :-) Again, if you're wanting to actually be terrified, I would recommend you drive out to one of the bigger haunted houses and pay the $40 a person. read more

Really disappointed that I never got the $90 refund that they promised me. I arrived early and even waited in line an additional 40+ minutes after they were supposed to open. They said they had lighting issues so only the outdoor trail was open. Because of those issues they offered everyone $10 back off each ticket. I thought that was a very professional thing to do. With my group of 9 I was supposed to get $90 back. They took down my info that night and then no refund ever came about. About a month later I reached out to the owner and even texted him a screenshot of my purchase as proof. Still no refund. I now will have to argue that charge with my credit card company I guess. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I waited for 4 hours in the car on halloween waiting to go in when police arrived around midnight and we were told occupancy was being exceeded. So we were sent home and staff told us to email them to get our refund. Now they're refusing to refund my 2 tickets. Do not waste your money!!! They sell way too many tickets so the lines are HUGE. You spend more time waiting in lines than you do actually participating in the "fun." It's called a "house" but you don't actually go into a house, you walk around outside, briefly. We spent additional money on the Hayride which isn't a hayride at all. The Parker House is a haunted house located in Denton. Their first year, I think, they were located in Lewisville- I still lived there at the time and it was awesome to have a haunt so close to home. Looks like the Parker House folks packed up and moved north for more space, which is a good thing. The original location was behind the Golden Corral and didn't really set a great mood. Even with that being said, though, it was a damn good haunted house. I honestly didn't have high hopes or know what to expect-- they did a really good job. I took a couple of friends and a co-worker with me when I went that first time, and one of them peed her pants. I won't lie: I pointed and laughed. And it was so worth getting hit. Yeah, I'm that friend. Anyway, I haven't been to the Parker House since it relocated- I honestly thought it might've closed up shop. I'm really glad to see they moved and probably have more space to expand. Their whole schtick is that they're a funeral home where the daughter of the owners went nuts and started killing people. There were some bits that didn't jive with the story line- they were clearly just there to scare you, but I'm totally okay with that. Now that I know that Parker House IS still alive and well (pun intended?), I most definitely plan on going there this season. It was one of the New Haunts I threw into my schedule a few years ago, and it was worth it. They've got the main Parker House attraction, then they added a smaller Carnival-themed one. You can pay an extra few bucks for a VIP/fast pass. I usually recommend doing that when haunts offer them, but when I went to Parker House (in Lewisville), it wasn't needed. Use your best judgement! I'm going to give Parker House 4 stars based on past experience and hope they live up to or exceed it at the Denton location. See you there! This is the 6th year in a row that we have gone to this haunted house. We have absolutely loved it every year. It went through the house, back through the woods, and then you went through there insane asylum to end it. Well,that was not the case this year. We waited in line a good 30 minutes after it opened just for them to even start selling tickets then once we actually started going through we noticed the "house"is not even included in the attraction at all( which is the main part of the story) or the insane asylum. It was merely a very quick walk through the woods where a few people jumped out and screamed in your face. However it is the same price as previous years With less than half the attractions and very very rude staff. We left there feeling very ripped off. Could have used some strobe lights or fog machines to disorient people a little more it would have made the experience so much better. The actors were few and far between and we heard them socializing before getting into character not 10 feet before we got to their scare zone and not 10 feet after. My wife & I attended this haunted house on Saturday, 10/24, and we were extremely disappointed. That haunted house was way better the last 2 years. This year sucked! We paid $23 and waited in line about 2 to 2 1/2 hours. There was maybe 20, MAYBE, 20 people working throughout the whole thing. They almost completely relied on props. We had to walk through mud almost the whole way to the doors, so I would have expected it to be better than it was. Not worth waiting 2 hours in line, wasn't scary. I had been to the old location in Lewisville a few years back and it was all right, but I was looking forward to the new structure this year. It was really rainy last night which made the atmosphere great, but it looked like they were severely lacking in cast. It was more props than actually actors and you could tell there were spots that were suppose to have people trying to scare you that no one was in. It was not frightening at all and if they were short staffed I do not see why they would still be charging full price. It was not worth the $23 dollars, the only positive is that it is long, but without scares, that just made it seem tedious. read more

I have gone to the Parker House ever since their first year in Lewisville and loved it. Every year it feels like they try to give you something new to be creeped out about. Their newest location in Denton has the best feel of all the places they have been. It has 3 different very specific feels this year. The main house, the Sanitarium and the creepy woods. If you go through and let yourself get immersed in the ideas they are trying to create, you're going to have a good time. If you go with the attempt to pick their reality apart and be a bad ass you're just going to ruin it for yourself and all the people near you. That goes for any haunted house. I'm too old to go trick or treating so this is always my Halloween fun!! read more

Very awesome place, most places make you stand in line for a while, just hanging out, the parker house had a room with snakes, props, lights and such to look at while waiting, was a great time. Really interesting haunted house experience. You wait a while to get in, even early on a weeknight, but that is to insure a good experience. The house is focused more on props and settings than actors which works because the setting is excellent. You meander throughout rooms instead of just seeing through a hole in the wall, so you can appreciate the effort and talent. The actors are few, but good. The three different areas are extremely well done. Make sure and wear footwear for a mud- a big chunk of the experience is outdoors. read more

The cast was lacking and the distribution of scaring elements was poorly designed. First, they seemed extremely short staffed because there were long stretches during which nothing happened. There were several places I anticipated a scare and none came. Some actors lost their steam long before they pulled back from their scare. Other actors had more energy but needed more control because myself and others in my party were touched after receiving a promise at the beginning of the attraction that we would not be touched. One actor at the end of the experience charged and ran into me almost painfully (I was bringing up the rear of the group) and another leapt off of some scenery and landed almost entirely on another member of our party. The smells created in the experience were great and added a lot but the strobe lights lasted too long in a few portions of the experience, causing nausea and headaches for most of our group although none of us had ever experienced issues with flashing lights before. read more

I own a Local Business in Denton, TX called FlexShield Window Tint and Car Stereo. I was looking for a good Haunted House to take my employees to and chose this place. I like to support local business and read good reviews. Some very petty reviews but mostly good. I was pleasantly surprised and very pleased with the level of customer service from the 2 amazing ladies at the front counter where you buy the tickets. I was also pleased with the level of detail in the haunts and spooks. I especially liked walking down the haunted trail and also the foam block walled room! I would highly recommend this Haunted House to anyone and everyone! Check these guys out! read more
