He walked around and fascinated all the guests with his tricks that were simple to pull out of his pocket and shocked us all. I still don't know how he made someone's wedding ring float in mid air. We had the opportunity to sit with him and chat for a while and learn his story about what inspired him to be a magician, who his favorite magician was, and what inspires him every day. I drove a nice 4 hours from Houston to see my all time favs (Last Dinosaurs!) perform at this place and this venue did not disappoint. Since I went solo, I arrived early and joined the queue outside. As they were letting us in, they checked us in through ID and crossed our name off their list of ticket purchases versus the standard ticket scan. Maybe their system was down? Or maybe it was their way of double checking ages? Idrk but entry was pretty smooth so no issues there. I went inside to get a drink from the bar and it looks like theres a smaller indoor venue too so I'm sure that's all a good time too. Bathrooms were typical bar bathrooms; nothing fancy, just a place to do your business, check your fit, and go. There were free pads/tampons and even drug tests for your drinks in there too so I thought that was cool. Show was great, I always recommend getting concert earplugs to avoid the ear ringing, but maybe for this place to avoid the jump-scare that is a train passing by in the middle of a set, too! Hahaha Leaving the venue wasn't an issue. Since I got there early, I was able to park in the lot right next to it. I would check out their website for recommendations to park, though, since their lot could fill up quickly. I think theres a bunch of free street parking a block away, so if you don't mind walking that should be available too. Just keep an eye out for signage about towing, I know the empty lot in the construction site just in front of the venue may be tempting, but I was warned that their a fein for towing so watch out! Overall, I had a great time! Should any other of my favs stop by, I might be tempted to make the drive again

There was a Renders food truck (unrelated to the venue) the night I went and I got a burger which was fine not great. Plenty of picnic table seating which was convenient. The burger was piping hot but the seasoning could have been better. Nice respectful crowd at the show I went to and I would definitely go back even though Denton is a bit of a haul for me. Oh the trains are CRAZY loud! Definitely can affect the show but no biggie!

She offered to hold the drum for me all week since I couldn't get there until Saturday. I work in North Dallas and it was still a bit of drive to Denton, but boy was it worth it. I asked a question about the drum to the owner, Glen, and the first words out of his mouth were, "I know that I'm taking off $15.00 because of a slight tear on the drum head!" I hadn't even noticed it! He then offered to help me whenever I wanted to replace the drum head in the far future. His employee was also very nice. So I would highly recom- mend this pawn shop to anyone looking for a used instrument. They deal in high end equipment and their prices are very reasonable.

Attended a yelp elite event with this group and it was so much fun! I'm not sure how the pricing…read morestructure works, or if wine and cheese is *normally* included, as these breakdowns weren't provided for us... however, it was a lot of fun either way! The experience included a topless server (male) for our party, an instructor and a nude model (also male). Something else that wasn't specified was if you had a female model if you would also have a female server? So not sure on that. I would guess she would be in a bikini or bra top as no nude photography is allowed and they walk around during the entirety of the event serving drinks and handing out pencils as needed. This would be a fun event to celebrate bachelorette parties (obviously), but you could also utilize their services for any type of gathering. I can so see a ladies night in with my friends doing this, but she also mentioned divorce parties (in which case can we have a group of male models I'll take 5 thank u), birthdays for the artsy friend, baby shower because clearly they've seen someone nude and nobody likes baby shower games (she didn't say that but I couldn't resist).... anyways, I digress. At our event, Bobby the server refilled drinks and took care of us during the drawing portion. The instructor and muse were fabulous at providing instruction and maintaining a sophisticated AND fun environment. It was fun to learn drawing techniques, but my skill was just alright! Each round went pretty quickly, so I wish I could have taken a bit more time to draw.

Before the wedding, we received a very comprehensive questionnaire about songs we wanted for walking up the aisle, walking down the aisle, last song, couples song, other songs we wanted (or didn't, they had a pre-established list of many that I would've forgotten to opt out of, and the option to add more), what songs NEVER to play no matter how much someone asks for them, I mean literally all the tiny details we hadn't even considered, they knew to ask. Not only do I absolutely recommend them for a wedding (Walter knows how to keep the party going) but for any event where you need a good spirited DJ with fantastic service.
