I had missed him when he came by my table, so as I saw him making his way around the party, I jumped to another table and got to enjoy the show! I don't know how he did it, but somehow, I was holding 2 bunnies, and then they became 6!!! Like...hold please, how on earth did that happen! I need to know all the tricks. Where do I even start! Amaze me Sonu was absolutely fantastic. Last night he was at an event at the Annex in Le Méridien in Fort Worth. In addition to being a great conversationalist , he is an amazing magician. He walked around and fascinated all the guests with his tricks that were simple to pull out of his pocket and shocked us all. I still don't know how he made someone's wedding ring float in mid air. I've had Sonu perform at several events over the past few years and I will continue to call him up! I've seen nothing like his magic before, at least nothing so up close and personal. His magic (deceptions!!) are consistently smooth, impressive, interactive, and 100% entertaining. Sonu came to a yelp Halloween party at Oni Ramen the other night and was very entertaining. He walked around the room to different tables showing off his tricks. When I went to refill a drink, I saw him do the bunny trick. He then came to my table and did a couple of tricks and the bunny trick. They were all very cool tricks, especially the bunny one, but I would have liked to see a different trick the second time. As long as everyone stays at their table, no one would know that he is doing the same tricks. And I'm sure he would give variety if you asked him while planning the event. When I attended the Yelp Event at Acre Distilling I was most intrigued by the idea of Sonu being present. I can honestly say that I had not seen a magician/illusionist since the 1990s, and I wanted to have the chance to interact. He really was great. Much of it is his presence. During the event he moved from table to table, never disruptive or intrusive. I think that he really excels at this, and it is valuable. He has a distinguished disposition as well, while being approachable. It is almost as if he could easily be an asset to a black tie affair or a kids birthday party, and everything in between. We met Sonu at a Yelp party. He actually met my wife first while I was off getting drinks. Once I realized he was a magician and NOT in fact hitting on my wife, I was dumbfounded on how good he was. Sonu was doing close up magic, just walking up to small groups of people and doing a trick or two before moving on. For us he walked up right at that moment where we had settled in at the party and were looking around to evaluate how long we would stay. I think Sonu was specifically walking around looking for people just like us and really locked us in to staying around for a while. Even beyond the magic, he was just a fun and joyful person. I saw Sonu perform recently at a Yelp event, and he was GREAT. I am a big sucker for magic: I like to think I know what's up, and can follow people's handiwork, but a good magician will get me every time! It's both fascinating and infuriating, because I like to think that a guy my age can figure out what's happening in front of him - but Sonu really nailed it. I would consider myself a skeptic and always try to find a logical explanation to any sort of magic trick but I am truly at a loss for words after seeing Sonu's magic.
