It was positively charming! It was the Tejas Storytelling Association. We sat down and enjoyed the beautiful weather and the scary tales for a bit. They had adult scary stories inside for $5, which I really wanted to do if we would of had the time. This is on my list for this year though, so I hope they do it again!

I drove a nice 4 hours from Houston to see my all time favs (Last Dinosaurs!) perform at this place and this venue did not disappoint. Since I went solo, I arrived early and joined the queue outside. As they were letting us in, they checked us in through ID and crossed our name off their list of ticket purchases versus the standard ticket scan. Maybe their system was down? Or maybe it was their way of double checking ages? Idrk but entry was pretty smooth so no issues there. I went inside to get a drink from the bar and it looks like theres a smaller indoor venue too so I'm sure that's all a good time too. Bathrooms were typical bar bathrooms; nothing fancy, just a place to do your business, check your fit, and go. There were free pads/tampons and even drug tests for your drinks in there too so I thought that was cool. Show was great, I always recommend getting concert earplugs to avoid the ear ringing, but maybe for this place to avoid the jump-scare that is a train passing by in the middle of a set, too! Hahaha Leaving the venue wasn't an issue. Since I got there early, I was able to park in the lot right next to it. I would check out their website for recommendations to park, though, since their lot could fill up quickly. I think theres a bunch of free street parking a block away, so if you don't mind walking that should be available too. Just keep an eye out for signage about towing, I know the empty lot in the construction site just in front of the venue may be tempting, but I was warned that their a fein for towing so watch out! She offered to hold the drum for me all week since I couldn't get there until Saturday. I work in North Dallas and it was still a bit of drive to Denton, but boy was it worth it. I asked a question about the drum to the owner, Glen, and the first words out of his mouth were, "I know that I'm taking off $15.00 because of a slight tear on the drum head!" I hadn't even noticed it! He then offered to help me whenever I wanted to replace the drum head in the far future. His employee was also very nice. So I would highly recom- mend this pawn shop to anyone looking for a used instrument. They deal in high end equipment and their prices are very reasonable.

I would guess she would be in a bikini or bra top as no nude photography is allowed and they walk around during the entirety of the event serving drinks and handing out pencils as needed. This would be a fun event to celebrate bachelorette parties (obviously), but you could also utilize their services for any type of gathering.
