The gator bites were really good. The peel and eat shrimp were mediocre. Get the gator!

Great fish fry. Large portion. I made mistake of getting two piece fish. Could not finish one piece. French fries average. Two for one wine and beer. Anthony was our servicer and he is "awesome". He said " have a blessed day" when we left. You just don't hear that anymore. I look forward to going back again both for service and food. read more

Ate inside. Bartender took very good care of us. Told us about how good the fish was and he hit it on the head. Was deep fried but wasn't greasy at all. Had the nacho salad before dinner and it was awesome. Has outdoor seating with TV'S so you don't miss the games. read more

Zero stars it's the worst service I've ever had. We asked several times to bring the correct drinks then three plate of food came out but they never brought out my burger. When I asked to speak to a manger they told me there wasn't one they were at there other location. It a shame when I try to spend my money at a local business ant it run so poorly I see why chain restaurants are taking over I would never recommend this dump. It would be better off closing and reopen the Scotty's lumber yard in that location. I repeat do not wast you time or money going there. read more

Only reason this establishment was visited was due to winning a raffle with a $25 gift card. I would not wish anyone to be forced to eat here. Hi, We have been customers of their Friday night fish fry for the last year- It is really good fish- I don't know what changed in the last month or 2 - we usually are a party of 11- 13 people- For the last month/2 our orders are all screwed up and last night it took 45 minutes to get a appetizer- 1 hour for the food. THE restaurant wasn't busy at all- It was a slow Thursday night- We never seen it so slow- We did observe the cooks arguing in the parking lot. It has never been the fault of the waitresses for being so slow- It always seems to be the kitchen.. We were extremely disappointed last night and for the last month or 2.. Time to find another place for our fish night-- It's really a shame. read more

Yesterday 13 March 2019, we each ordered Crazy Gators Wednesday's Special prime rib for $ 15.99, baked potato for .99 extra, and garden salad for another .99 extra. Prime rib looked juicy, cooked to our liking at medium rare and was at least 1 1/4 thick. It looked absolutely yummy but at first bite we were both very disappointed as it was bland and absolutely no taste whatsoever, greasy 70% ground beef would have tasted better. The baked potato was very hard and also very bland although it was covered with 2 butters and 2 sour creams. The garden salad at most had 4 small cubed pieces of tomatoes and a few 1/2 long red onions. A total of 3 couples were at the crazy Gator at about 4:45 far less than the mass we have seen before. Cooks need to find a new recipe or continue to experiment for many many more Wednesdays until they can come up with a suitable prime rib. $ 41.38 was a waste of dollars and the visit a waste of gas and time to travel 15 miles from Leesburg for a unforgettable dinner that deserves maybe a 1 out of 10. Went here a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it. It was about 6:30 on a Sunday. Not too busy but we sat in the bar area so we could watch the game. There were plenty of TVs and the food was good. I do see why the yelp reviews are lower due to the service. The bartender waited on us though he did get the job done, the service was nothing special. Between the 3 of us, we had, fried shrimp, steak and chicken tenders. All were excellent. They also have good ranch dressing. Need I say more? read more

This place is an absolute DUMP!!!! Overpriced crap served on a plate. Everyone is better off going to a soup kitchen and eating better quality food that what this place serves. Homeless starving people would not eat this food. The restaurant is run down, dirty, discussing, the food was like nothing I have ever seen and the service was as if no one wanted to work there. There were flies everywhere and landing on the drinking cups and bowls that they were serving people in. I ordered the gator tail, Backed stuffed fish - w/ there would famous fish with crabmeat stuffing, and backed stuffed shrimp - with crabmeat stuffing. Our sides were the same, spicy shrimp gumbo and Caesar salad. $46.00 for two people - over prices $$$$ I am born and raised in Florida and know good gator tail and seafood. The gator tail was just over cooked batter with no special sauce and a very small portion. Both entrees were drowning in a pool of butter/oil that had to be drained from the plates (1/2 c on each plate) the fish tasted like it was thawed in a 5 gallon bucket with water and had a weird detergent taste to it. The "world famous fish with crabmeat" needs to remove forever from their menu, b/c there was NO hint, taste, or piece of crabmeat to be found anywhere. I have been to restaurants' that have "skimped" on the crabmeat, but this place doesn't even include it. It was plain old unseasoned disgustingly soggy stuffing. Was the stuffed shrimp and better - NO!!!! I was $14.00 for 6 pieces of butterfly, rubbery shrimp (medium to small size) topped with 3 ice cream scoops of that discussing stuffing with NO CRABMEAT to be found. The spicy "shrimp" gumbo was missing the "shrimp and didn't even taste like there was any seafood. The soup reminded me of leftovers from Monday's night special and it was Wednesday. DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!! Save your money and go somewhere else!!!! read more

Food has always been good here as we make our biannual trip to Lake County to visit family. However, we were so disappointed our last visit when we were ready to order the famous chocolate sundae for dessert and was informed that was no longer available. :-(. First time I ever are here and will be the last. We were a party of 8. It was a Tuesday after lunch, I'd say about 1:30. The place was dead. It took us about 20 min before we saw a waitress. We ordered right away as we were afraid she wouldn't come back. It took 45 min to get our food, been there over an hour and still hadn't eaten yet. My sandwich was cold, had to be remade. Great wings. The remainder of the food was mediocre at best. The staff was friendly but not fantastic as far as the service went. Prices were average. Better than McDonald's but far from quality food. Stale French fries, mistaken orders and not the cleanest restaurant. Pretty strong coming from someone who loves a good sports bar. read more

We went here for my dad and Grandmas birthday at her request. There were 7 of us and they seated us in a large booth which is really uncomfortable when you have 3 senior citizens, a 6 year old and a 3 month old. We got our drinks after waiting about 20 minutes of nobody acknowledging that we existed. I opened my menu only to find smashed cockroaches inside. We then ordered our food. It took over an hour to get our food. I was sitting there with a glass of tea that was cracked and leaking all over the table because nobody checked on us. They flat out ignored us. My sister got boiled shrimp that were so limp and small they were more like grubs. My grandma got a pulled pork sandwich that was served on a hard cold bun with cold french fries. My dad ordered some sort of philly egg roll thing that was gross. They did comp our meal but I know I will not be returning. This place is dirty and the staff just doesn't give a hoot. read more

Service was OK, once they figured out which server was ours (took 3 of them). The "famous fish" must be famous for its mystery. The mystery being how you deep fry something and add absolutely no flavor. 2 dinners, 2 drinks: $40. Clientele was...questionable. read more

I give up. Combination of bad service and mixed up orders so frequently has us exasperated and we finally give up trying. Last time tried it for lunch from 1:30-2:30 but could not get order in time for my wife's one hour lunch. In a nearly empty restaurant it should not have taken that long for the fish special and burger. You win...we're done. read more

Date night with my hubby began here! We walked in through the bar and were directed to the dining room. Waited at the desk while two hostesses chit chatted when one said "seat yourselves...we are really busy!" When we walked into the dining area there were two big party tables "clean" and probably three booths still needing clearing! We looked at each other and we walked directly out! This is one of our favorite "go-to" places, in the area. For one, it has a great porch with a wonderful view of Lake Eustis, and boat docking. We either come here by boat or car for an easy lunch. Our most ordered are the fish salad and seafood baskets - both are delicious! Service is always good and comes with a smile. read more

Terrible service & food. The waitress didn't know what kind of fish was used in the stuffed fish dinner, and didn't offer to find out. Settled for wings & fried pickle chips (thought it'd be a safe, quick order). Took another 15-20 min before waitress came back & said that fried pickles would take longer because they were out of flour. Seriously? Wings came out dry & overcooked. Asked for celery & bleu cheese and waitress brought us ONE small piece of celery. (Not one pc. each - just one pc.) Seriously?!? Normally, in this situation, I'd speak with the manager to let them know they've got some problems. For this place, I couldn't care less. Let'em go out of business. Terrible experience. read more

My wife and I went there on a recent Sunday evening. Not many people in the dining room. That should have been my warning. We both ordered the shrimp dinner. Waiter says, "We're out of shrimp." Very disappointed because the last time we ate there the shrimp was good. My wife ordered a Caesar salad and onion rings. I ordered a patty melt. Cooked medium. Sitting there waiting and waiter comes back and says, "we're out of onion rings." My wife was really upset by now. So, she ordered French onion soup. Food is served and it's horrible! the Caesar salad was old! Wilted. The onion soup was bland. My patty melt was cooked rare. I lost my appetite. One good note, they did bring some onion rings and I must admit they were good. Wait staff was friendly. But, from our past experience and this experience, it's pretty obvious they don't have good management. Good management wouldn't allow the kitchen to run out of food. They are going to have to improve that place before I return. Spice up the menu too. Even clean up the place. read more
