    Halifax Donair Pizza

Conveniently located at then side of the Market Road Antiques, Crazy Canuck offers an assortment of burger, pizza and poutine dishes to go. When we were there early August, there was no indoor dine in options but plenty of picnic tables or booths under the overhang. A minor annoyance was the amount of flies that patrol the area, so we got our food to go instead of fighting the black swarm at every bite. We ordered the Everyday Special, which is the Halifax Donair pizza and Garlic Fingers for $20. The pizza was a deep dish pizza with a roasted garlic puree base, pepperoni, and donair meat topped with lettuce, tomato, and onion. Great crust and bottom on the pizza! Loved the extra touch of raw onions to give a bright note to an otherwise heavy slice. The garlic fingers was basically another deep dish pizza but with a generous portion of cheese on top and slices into strips. Both came with a side of garlic donair sauce which was more sweet than garlicy, but it worked well as a crust dip. Next time I will probably go for something with more variety, as two pizzas are a little much for me.

This was our first time trying Canuck ribs. While it wasn't my favorite style, the meat was incredible quality! These ribs were one of the best quality I've had across the US and Canada. I would definitely suggest trying them.

Took 25 minutes to get this pizza... decent pizza... not sure if wait for this one again. But there is an antique place attached to this, so you can stroll around

Ordered the hot dog with poutine fries. Lots of food but it was just ok.

Not really what we were expecting. Order at a window and only a few tables inside. The girl taking orders wasn't very friendly and the food was just ok. Worst part about the experience were the flies. We couldn't seem to get them to leave us alone the entire time we were there.

Plenty of food and great service. We got the pulled pork with Caesar salad, baked hot dog with po boy poutine and also burger with regular poutine. Everything was good. Would recommend.

I had supper this evening at The Crazy Canuck (on Weber Street N). It's at the end of a big antique market. Some of the tables have themes ... mine was the Tragic Hip. I ordered the pasta special ... baked tortellini. I love baked pasta! This was a hearty meal and I couldn't finish the garlic baguette. It was cheesy and the sausage was a bit spicy. I'd get this again. Courtney was the server. She was very friendly and chatty.

What a fantastic place for social distancing eats. The food is fresh, you don't have to order too far ahead, the price is right with large portions, and best of all, the burgers and poutine have been delicious. I had the Best Burger in Town last time I got takeout which is misnamed... because today's Crazy Canuck Burger should hold that title. The kids loved their burgers too. Standard poutine was a hit.

I did some research before heading over to Waterloo for a brief weekend stay. This place was across from my hotel and had rave reviews. I headed over there for dinner. Traffic heading westbound to Waterloo on a Saturday afternoon was horrendous. I had worked up and appetite, and headed here upon my arrival. I ordered the baked hot dog with fries. It came with dipping sauce. So good! It was filling, cheesy, tasty, and perfect. You can either dine inside the restaurant, which is attached to the antique mall, or you can sit outside at wooden tables with benches. I went with the former, which has retro albums (records, some of which I own!) as part of the decor. I'd come back here for a hot dog and sample more more food goodness. (211)

Slooow "Fast" Food. Based on the timestamp on my receipt, a Standard Burger + upgraded to Classic Poutine took 30mins to arrive after ordering! To me, that's waaay too long of a wait for something so simple. Burger patty itself was pretty small. It's supposed to be 6oz, but it was closer to a 4-5oz. Bun was bigger than patty. As per the other reviewers, based on the portion, prices are on the high-side. Standard Burger was $12 + change, it included either fries/soup/salad. To upgrade to Classic Poutine, it was +$4 and there was barely any cheese curds. Somewhat of a tourist trap as there is no food available on the Antique side of St. Jacob's Market. And yes, you will smell like oil when you leave. :)

We had their hamburgers & pulled pork and was great. Fries and grilled chicken were "OK".

Delicious lunch: foot long hot dog, Caesar salad, pulled pork sandwich and a poutine.

Great food, very satisfying and in ample portions. Nice unusual interior design. Free wifi. What else can you desire?

This place smokes it's own meats, and had decent pulled pork and poutine. Glad that I was able to give it a try.

If you're someone who wants a quick bite to eat, but also want quality food, this is the best place to go. Not only is it affordable, but it's also fresh and has many selections (especially the sauces). The poutine is also very good which comes in a big portion. I got mine with beef gravy which isn't at all too salty and balanced well with the cheese curds.

2.5/5, +.5 for the service…read more Can't say I was overly impressed with this place, although I can pick out positives from the burger I had and the place overall. First, they have options for white or multi-grain buns, both costing the same. Since I like to be healthy, I chose multi-grain. Good on them for offering bun options since most other restaurants only offer white buns. Second, they have awesome service, with the employees knowing many of the regulars and offering options for customers to get more value for their meal. However, I ordered a swiss melt burger...and the patty was extremely dry. They advertised juicy burgers, but my burger was anything but. The grilled mushrooms were minimal, and the grilled onions were pretty much regular raw onions placed on the grill...which actually didn't taste too bad. Finally, the onion in the onion rings were good, but the coating was too hard and too crispy. I'll probably give Sonny's and Frat Burger a try before I come back here.
