I have been going to this place for years now. I remember the days of after hours! I ordered a virgin hot toddie as I was so cold and it was delicious. The food is terrible, the toilets so disgusting you rather pee your pants, but the setting, musical variance and staff are nice. It's best to Uber and not take your car, the neighborhood is unsafe and if you dare to walk 1 block west, you might get assaulted and robbed (happened to several that I know). I came here many times and loved the food but the security is so inconsiderate and rude. My friend left her wallet in a taxi and left in a rush. I ordered an expensive tequila that was on the top shelf and the bartender got upset because he had to use the rolling ladder to get my drink. Sunday morning around 2:00 am we decided to leave our friend's apartment in Brickell to meet up with some people at this bar. We had a friend from out of town so we wanted to show him a good time. This bar opens until very late, or early depending on which way you look at it. We took an Uber there and found that this bar was super crowded on the inside and outside. We walked right in and waited behind the large crowd at the bar to order some drinks. I had to use the bathroom so I went and waited in a really long line! I waited about a half hour the first time and the second time I waited another half hour. I think I waited in line for the bathroom more than I actually hung out with my friends at this bar. There were two really dirty bathrooms and the patrons that used it were very slow, some even went in multiples! The bathroom had graffiti all over the walls; maybe that's why the patrons were taking so long in the bathrooms. There was a chair by the bathrooms but nobody was sitting in it and one of the bouncers/employee came out of nowhere and gave me an attitude, "you're supposed to wait behind the chair." I told him, "how was I supposed to know? There's no sign." I waited about thirty minutes at that point, my bladder was about to burst, I did not need an attitude from anybody. My friends, brother, and husband were ordering drinks while I waited in the bathroom line; they waited just as long for drinks. The patrons at the bar were rude too. There was a guy that tried to start a fight with my brother at the bar for no reason. I guess he thought my brother cut him in line but my brother already had a full drink in his hand and was trying to talk to my husband who was waiting at the bar. We found an open table and sat there for a few minutes. Then the girl sitting at another table beside our table was smoking a cigarette and was holding it behind her towards our direction and all I saw and smelled was the cigarette smoke; that was not enjoyable. The bar was dim and only had four tables inside and a couple outside. It was an overall sketchy vibe with full of sketchball patrons and I regretted going there. We should've stayed at the apartment because I would've had a better time and wouldn't have to wait in line for a bathroom and pay for expensive drinks. In the end, if someone asks if I want to go back, that would be a solid NO; maybe for happy hour since the reviews for their happy hour seems decent but even then, I left with a sour taste and stinky hair/clothes (cigarette smell) so I probably won't return or recommend it to others. read more

Amazing cocktails, usually with a featured special for the week and great tapas style bar food and sandwiches. I love the vibe, the music, the bartenders. Not to mention the food and drinks. Great happy hour specials that start a little earlier than most places, and usually pretty chilled atmosphere. The bartenders can create a range of old fashioned drinks, with fresh herbs and garnishes, or you can go in for the hard stuff straight. They also have a wide range of beers and wines as well. Later at night (or early in the morning, depending on how you see it), it does get a little loud and crowded. But otherwise, it's a wonderful, intimate gem, hidden away in downtown Miami. Like a chameleon. Come early or "late" for a completely different experience. Early afternoon they have good food, friendly service, delicious drinks and a fantastic beer and spirit selection! Come between 3-9 am and it's the lounge for the local industry and those going to and from space/eleven. The line for the bathroom is often comical. DJ's are always great and I can't say I've ever had a bad time here. Place is small and fills up fast but they have plenty of outside seating and places to hang around and have a drink. I've gone here countless times. Mostly because I live nearby so it's convenient. I was there the other night & proceeded to have a few drinks. The evening took an odd turn when the bartender Nicole(small girl with a sleeve) decided I needed water to which I drank. She gave me another to which I didn't want. Then I notice a discrepancy with my tab & while I was replaying the evening in my head to make sense of it, I was told I've had enough and was asked to leave. Wow. So let me get this straight: you have a repeat customer that's calmly trying to figure out something & your idea is to throw him out Nicole? Now to her credit, she seemed like she wanted to explain how I'm wrong THEN throw me out..which I suppose is...helpful? Bottom line is whether the discrepancy was my oversight or a mistake on their part, I'll never know BUT what I do know is Nicole's handling of this was quite frankly pathetic & I'll NEVER allow her to serve me again. I'm enamored. Just ... enamored! Friendly staff, cleverly made drinks, great beer list at good prices, and even light food that catches my fancy. The vibe is so laid-back speakeasy even when crowded, something I haven't yet seen in Miami to this degree. I saw guys with thick moustaches and bowling hats, short-haired flapper girls, transvestites, plenty of 80's sweaters, and all else letting loose, in a mellow way. As for the aesthetics, I loved the candles on the tables, and even the tall candles on the bar as they do give this seemingly Old World charm a glow. As if the flickering flames were happily whispering to the folks who were there to enjoy the time of their lives, encouraging them on. The oversized mirror over the bar brings a greater view of the room so that we could enjoy looking at the varied happy faces that helped spread the warmth. This place takes me back to the Northeast. The staff were friendly and personal - and would give you a shout out whether you're waiting for a drink, about to leave, or anything to let you know that you're welcomed. And the drinks? There's wine and affordable beers, even if they're imported from Brooklyn, and for the upper echelon, they have tasty drinks that are creatively made - with grapefruit juice, milk, basil-infused honey, or anything of the like for ingredients. And a fine class of liquors ready. With the folks working here having prior experience at Zuma, Gigi, and other reputable Miami establishments, there's no way we could expect any less. The menu of eats seems to be small but classically designed with croque madame, and other light bistro fare that would suit any looking for good bites. I'd definitely try some things out from the menu. Also, I noticed that they have an espresso machine, for those who wants a good cup of java. I'm imagining this place to be a good study spot during its off hours. But either way, it is nice to know that this place will be open for you at pretty much any time, until 5 am in weekdays and even until 8 am in weekends. I like this place because it's the perfect precursor to Club Space! It's conveniently located just at "the corner" of Miami Ave and NE 11th Street, just a 30 second walk from Space. The music is bumping, a mix of hip hop and electronic. The drinks are plentiful, with craft beers, ciders, wines and cocktails. The crowd is pretty cool, as you get a mix of people here, some staying as their main spot and some just as a warmup for the real deal. There's such good energy all around, and it's even better as you sit outside, people watch and drink while vibing to the sounds! Since being back many times, their staff has gone from nasty, unhelpful, and slow to fast, and very pleasant. The manager is extremely sweet and always takes care of good customers. The place is dimlight with candles everywhere and pretty woodsy inside with beers all written on the wall. The happy hour special goes until 8pm and is $3 cans and well drinks and 3$ grilled cheese and chicago dogs. Hubby ordered cans of beer and was happy I tried Hot and Smokey- strong punch of mezcal with distinct habanero flavor. Cham wow- vodka and champagne with berries. A guy was being absolutely horrible to me, and Danni, and two bartenders who's names I can't remember, one with short brown hair and tattoos and one with blonde hair took such good care of me. We came on a Saturday afternoon a little after it opened up to watch one of the World Cup matches. I was warned before hand about the neighborhood, but didn't find it to be a big deal. They have locals come by for things like using the bathroom, getting water or buying cigarettes. I'll admit I'm a sucker for a place with signature drinks, so I gave in and wanted to try their pisco punch. Unfortunately, they didn't seem to have quite a bit of ingredients due to the night before so I had to pick another drink. It was a spicy tequila drink which was really good with a slight kick which I enjoyed. Unfortunately the bartender informed me they didn't have enough ingredients to make me another, so I had to pick something else again. As for food, we ordered the smokey weenies to hold us over until our dinner plans and also because when we tried to order the Corner's Nuts, we were told....you guessed it...they didn't have it. All in all, the inside of the bar is awesome, our bartender was a nice fellow and they had two TVs so we could watch the match. I'd definitely have given this place a better rating if they could manage to have more of their menu available. read more

Obviously, the time to show up is in the wee hours of the morning when you don't really plan on coming here, you end up arriving here after a few drinks elsewhere in the bustling hub of Downtown Miami. It's open until like 8 in the morning (Don't ask me why) and although seeing the sun rise while I'm drunk isn't what I'm built for (#MattressLyf)- I know people love it for that reason. It's not the easiest task getting a drink here at night so open a tab and order quickly. The outside starts to get packed with a bunch of people and it might be hard to snag a spot sometimes so wear comfy shoes if you're standing. I asked the bartender to recommend a beer, he said "do your research sweetie" and walked away. He proceeded to ignore me and my friend after. He even started talking to a guy in the window and looking over and snickering at us. I gently tapped his shoulder to ask if I did anything wrong and why he wouldn't serve us and I asked him what I did wrong and he said "keep your hands to yourself, bitch." The manager then came out and asked what was wrong, when I told her she said nothing to him and rudely took my order. The man he was talking to came up to me after and asked why he was so horrible to us. Never in my 25 years have I been treated like that. This was a horrible experience, one that led me to not go out for a good two months after. I work in bars as a cocktail waitress, I know how annoying customers get and I am a woman so I really understand bad patrons, but he was so out of line. I called to complain and nobody called me back. I am absolutely going to contact the BBB because this is unacceptable and I hope it never happens to anyone again. He was very kind, and the kind of person you'll actually enjoy talking with. Some friends from work turned me onto this place a couple months ago and now I am hooked. Their Happy Hour specials are awesome! $3 beers and a wide variety! The Chicago Dog is delicious and ALMOST as good as the real thing. The quesadilla is good too. The bar is small and if they get busy it is a little difficult to get in to get a drink. Service is always good and they are very nice! Service at the tables is great and quick! They have a self-serve water station which is awesome! The bathrooms are clean and stocked. Granted, i have never been late at night. The location is convenient and there is always parking on the street and around the corner. This is a great spot for HH and I frequent them. This is far and away one of my favorite happy hour spots! I was late in learning about the Corner (which has been around for years), but they have one of the best happy hour beer lists I've come across in recent memory, and all for $3-each. Although I've swung by here a few times late night, it's the happy hour specials, proximity to downtown, and super chill vibe that keeps me coming back to start my night. You'll find me holding down a spot at the bar and drinking my worries away. I also find it rather amusing to watch the bartenders serve up some of their more specialty cocktails. It's not so much about flair as it is about carefully managed pours and a healthy spread of fresh herbs, fruits, and others toppings. I look forward to this fad passing, but until then, I'll still enjoy the show while sipping on my beer.
