The Corner Grind - iced latte (special) - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Elburn, Illinois

Tony and Ann would be so disappointed in what the new owners have done to Corner Grind. Profit over quality and service.

severely disappointed with the customer service and the change of menu items, prices and proportions. Used to love walking there since i live close on the weekends to grab a smoothie or coffee or a cinnamon roll! won't be back. read more

Great food and the staff is very pleasant. Love their small town vibe and made to order sandwiches.

The food is still good. I'm not totally sure what the deal is but they keep changing they're menu and portions and the ing disiente in the Sandwhiches. Nothing is really the same anymore. Disappointing. I get that companies need to innovate and find new ways to save money while still turning a profit but I realize corner grind has completely changed almost everything. Please stop changing things. There is a reason that people went here. In the last year I have heard more negative feedback through conversations regarding corner grind than good. People are not happy. There's a very simple solution. Stop changing the things that brought people to you in the first place! read more

I currently live in Chicago, but no city cafe beats this small town coffee shop. So many delicious drink options, plus cozy atmosphere, kind staff, fair prices, and a scenic drive through the country. I was recently diagnosed with celiac, but I got sandwiches and treats from here all the time before my diagnosis. Again- the best. Especially the breakfast sandwiches. I love how there are new specials each week. I was also pleased to find out they have a couple gluten free pastry options, separate from the non-GF so there were no worries about cross contact. If there ever comes a day when they have gluten free sandwich options, my life will be made. read more

I just started grad school and needed to collaborate on a paper with my group member who lives in Dekalb (I live in St. Charles). Elburn was smack dab in the middle for us to meet and The Corner Grind was perfect! They get pretty busy here no matter the time. I came in around 9am and it was quiet but then the morning rush came in, followed by the lunch crowd. They have a big sandwich selection and one rotating daily soup. Had a cup of their steak and potato soup ($2.75) and a 12 oz. soy chai tea latte ($ 3.10). Both were amazing. Service is extremely quick and friendly. Wifi is password free and worked like a charm. If you're a local, don't forget to ask about their punch card so you can work yourself up to a freebie! read more

Had to make the trip because of the reviews. For anyone that looks to yelp to find a new place or great food options - you will love this stop!! We ordered 3 different sandwiches- the 1-3-5, coffee, lemon berry smoothie, an a monkey mocha. And yes, there were three of us . The generous amount of meat and cheese on the sandwich was well worth the 7.50- you could share or save for leftover. It was a bit loud inside but when the food is that good you can give them a pass on noise. If they only had space for a patio this place would have locals standin in line for the food and sweets. Already planning next trip back. read more

The Corner Grind - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Elburn, Illinois

We've been to the Corner Grind many times and everything we've had has been really good. The people are always super helpful and friendly. AND its nice to support a local business owner and not the green machine from Seattle. Also: Free samples!!!!! Their breakfast sandwiches are fantastic and all come on homemade english muffin. She really likes the turkey sausage but the ones w/ onions and and peppers are what I get. The homemade granola bars are also hearty and delicious. The donuts, cinnamon buns, and muffins all look incredible (and huge), but I've never had any. Also really wanna try their lunch options. I always get the house coffee which is very tasty, and she's ordered various smoothies and cappuccinos which all seem to please. read more

The Corner Grind - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Elburn, Illinois

Great food and excellent service. First time here ans won't be the last. Keep up the great work.

I am so disappointed with corner grind. I used to love this place but with the new ownership boy has this place gone downhill. The sandwiches are more expensive and significantly smaller, and do not taste as fresh. It doesn't feel like a small business anymore, it has lost all of its charm. The only positive is the friendly staff. read more

Top notch sandwiches and possibly the nicest people you'll ever meet. I've dined in and carried out and both experiences have been great.

Although this is a convenient spot for an ok coffee downtown...... its sad to say corner grind quality has gone only down hill since new ownership. While the portions and quality have decreased, prices have increased. You aren't really getting what you pay for anymore. When you get a $16 sandwich, you would expect more than a single piece of bacon right?? You will be missed corner grind... its sad to say i can no longer recommend this as the best in town. Youre better off going to Starbucks, where you will always be content. read more

I love Corner Grind! The team that works here is really friendly and their coffee and baked goods are delicious.

Corner Grind is a fantastic place to catch a sandwitch and great coffee even if we cannot sit inside at this time. I love to watch idiots go into Schmids bar from the street. Corner Grind requires masks as they should.. Schmids is a dump that loves to spread Covid by not wearing masks.. God Bless Corner Grind,, Schmids, not so much.. read more

Called at 10:40 to place and order for breakfast. And they put me on hold for ten mins and then when they took me off up they said their kitchen closed at 10:45 even though online it says they serve breakfast till 11. read more

There is a reason why this charming small place is always busy - it's food with great service.

The girls behind the counter were pleasant. Had the seasonal lucky charms coffee drink sooooo good. My son got the chocolate chip cookie... nice size and lots of big chunks of chocolate in them yum!!! Wonderful experience. Will go out of my way to stop here when driving through town. read more

Amazing coffee and delicious food. Staff is very friendly! They have fresh baked bread and pastries. Better than any big name coffee place by a mile! read more

Everything is made with excellence here and the staff is so friendly! We go here for breakfast and lunch. The breakfast sandwiches and pastries are fantastic tasting. All the sandwiches are made with Boars Head meats and cheeses...yummy, the soups and desserts are all homemade. You simply can't go wrong at this place! read more

Service is quick and friendly and you can even call in an order beforehand. We usually order an iced mocha and hot cappacino. Breakfast sammiches come with one or two eggs and you can order it with or without meat ir cheese. They bake their goods in house and I can tell you their muffins and bagels are always fresh and tasty. read more

It's like walking into a Hallmark movie (and I mean that as a compliment). Great selection of coffee and sandwiches. Highly recommend the BLT. Support your local business and give them a try. You'll be glad you did read more

One of the best café / coffee shops around. The specials menu (both drinks and food) is always well thought out and even better executed. The high quality ingredients, including as Boar's Head meat make the lunch menu amazing, but I have to make a special call out for the Blackbird sandwich which is a highlight among greatness. The homemade soups always warm the soul especially in the colder months. read more

A local place in Elburn, some of the best food I've ever had. Even things like grilled cheeses are too notch. Amazing breakfast and lunch, I love this place. Corner Grind needs to be next on your list to go to. read more

I spend a fair amount of time in the Elburn area and always try to go to the corner grind in the morning for coffee and one of their outstanding sandwiches - all fresh and made to order with quality ingredients including boars head meats. Try it if you're in the area. read more

If you want great service, quality coffee and delightful food, then this is your place! Turkey sandwich is amazing. Smoothies, coffee and teas are delicious. You can't go wrong with their homemade cinnamon rolls--better go early because they go fast! The staff is friendly and prompt. The ambient is slightly rustic and very cozy. Great place to meet up with friends for coffee or lunch. Also great for grab and go! read more

Cute local coffee shop. Great variety of hot and cold coffee drinks. Their breakfast sandwiches are amazing! They also have fun kids drinks. 10/10 stars! read more

Boar 's Head Meats everything was very tasty too and I would recommend it to everyone

It's pretty good. The food is way too expensive and not worth what you pay.. but the drinks are classic and delicious and they even have some special ones they'll make for you. Most of the time they're really friendly but a couple times I've encountered some people ringing me up who had an attitude or looked annoyed. But what can ya do. Sometimes they take a while to make just a latte. I've waited 15 minutes before. Still good when I get it though! Worth it to support small business. read more

We love The Corner Grind! Friendly staff, delicious food and love their coffee. Their bakery items are wonderful with their lemon blackberry muffin being a HUGE favorite in our home. read more

Went there for coffee ended up falling in love...with a sandwich. Wow, do they know how to make sandwiches. The prices are so reasonable and you get so much deliciousness. Super friendly and speedy staff. Can be busy so best to plan on getting it to go. A real gem in Elburn. read more

Awesome little coffee shop. The coffee (from Sparrow, I think) is excellent, the espresso drinks are well made (perfect traditional macchiato), and the baristas are very friendly. Best of all, their breakfast sandwiches are absolutely fantastic. I love a good, simple breakfast sandwich and their bacon, egg, and cheese on an English muffin is everything it should be. I've heard outstanding things about lunch, too, and it looks great, but I haven't tried it (yet). There isn't a lot of seating, but it's usually easy enough to grab a seat. If you're in Elburn, this place is a must. If you're close by, it's worth the trip. read more

The Corner Grind - An excellent macchiato. - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Elburn, Illinois

Absolutely delicious! I've never had anything bad here, and I'm being serious. Whatever I order is always good. I think the sandwiches are the best in the county! read more

Whenever I go in everyone is genuinely warm and friendly. My staple drink is a mocha frappacino, and, because I work as a barista, I am a little particular to how my coffee tastes. Every time I order a mocha frappacino from the Corner Grind, the flavor and consistency is top notch. Just the right combination of coffee and chocolate taste, with a not too icy undertone. Divine! Top that off with a very inviting and classy atmosphere,(and added lunch menu!-just tried the soup of the day, A-MAZING!) and you have a coffee shop to end all coffee shops. Wish I could give a 10 out of 10! read more

Elburn lucked out by getting this coffee spot to open up last year. Although the city prevents them from much signage (while the new DD down the street has had cheap plastic flags and roadside "grand opening" signs up for months now), Corner Grind has developed a loyal customer base by serving great coffee, fresh baked pastries, and AMAZING lunches! Hoping they'll be around for many years to come!! read more

Update: I've tried soups to sandwiches to muffins and treats and everything is top notch. The sandwiches are very good although really big. You can do half a sandwich with soup, but the sandwich is still enormous. Tasty though. Friendly staff and good drinks. read more
