I've heard great things about Maple Leaf Coffee in St Charles and they did not disappoint! Their…read moremenu highlights their house roasted coffee beans and house-made syrups. They have standard flavors as well as seasonal items but their most popular latte flavors are the Cinnamon-Honey and Maple Vanilla. When asking for flavor suggestions, staff told me their vanilla syrup is the highest quality as the concentrate is premium. I ended up ordering a 16oz Maple Vanilla Latte. I loved that the cost difference between sizes was minimal. The latte was the perfect temp and flavor was phenomenal! This easily has to be my new favorite coffee spot in the tri-city area. My husband got the Spiced Chai Latte which was fresh but not as strong in flavor as preferred. Most customers were taking their drinks to go but there were some high-top tables to sit at. This was a great new coffee find for me and I will certainly be back! Tip: Maple Leaf Coffee has a second location in Roselle that is currently only a Roastery but will soon transition into Cafe as well!

We were seated pretty promptly (we did the get in line on the website). The guy seating us was really friendly. Our server comes and takes our drink order, which she brought pretty quick and says are you ready to order. A couple of us noticed the had quite the attitude. We said no, sorry we are still chatting, give us a few. She comes back a couple minutes later and we were still not ready. We apologized up and down and she said fine. BUT, we could tell she was so mad. So we said, we had better concentrate on what we want right now. We picked what we wanted and she comes back And said, oh I'm leaving so the next server is taking over. We were all like ok?? Mind you, we had done nothing except chat for like 30 mins! They were not that busy! So our next server that got turned over to us was super sweet for the rest of our visit. We finished our meals, and lo and behold, we noticed our original server was still there, bringing meals to another table! What the heck! The food was awesome and so was our 2nd server, so that's deserving of the 4 stars. Not sure if she was having a bad day or what. We weren't there for that long, so we weren't staying there for 4 hours taking up a table. Not sure if I'd rush back.

She didn't seem too happy but maybe that was just my perception. Anyway, wife got an omelette , and I got a BLT sandwich. Kind of a no frills place; simple food that's good without any flair. My sandwich had the thick kind of bacon, so it's harder to make it crispy. There was a lot of bacon on the sandwich. Also came with soup and fries. I liked my meal. My wife's omelette looked dry but she said Thats the way she likes it. We had a $30 Clipp certificate and the bill was $29.27 so I had to spend an additional 73 cents to get the discount. I wound up ordering a baked apple pancake to go (frozen one), but I haven't tried it yet. Overall, a good experience, if you like a simple breakfast/brunch type of place.
