Hey Sugar is a wonderful dessert shop that serves a nice variety of sweet treats such as cakes,…read morecupcakes, pies, soft-serve ice cream, milkshakes and more. We were in the area and decided to check out this spot as it looked cool and some of the dessert concoctions looked awesome. The shop was nicely decorated, inviting, and had friendly staff. The staff was helpful in getting our tasty as it was our first time here. From their specialty soft-serve ice cream concoctions (eclectic looking sundaes), we ordered a Cloud 9 made with Lavender Honey soft-serve and a Uh Oh Oreo w/ vegan Coconut soft-serve (see my photos). The Cloud 9 came with a cotton candy top and it looked so Instagram perfect. It was delicious. I really liked the Lavender Honey soft-serve. The Oreo one was okay as the vegan Coconut soft-serve was icy and not quite my cup of tea. This shop is a cool, cute, and awesome sweet treats spot that should be on your list to check out if you enjoy desserts.

The air is filled with intoxicating aromas of chocolate, caramel, cotton candy, candy, sugary treats, and so much more. You can't help but to feel a rush of pure bliss and happiness! Everyone was friendly and unbelievably sweet just like the treats. The decorations are frilly, girly, and pink! So, it is definitely a fairly wonderland! From the rows of bulbs and lights. To the two big swings. They make it a point to make it feel fun and festive! The walls of flowers are my favorite part. It makes you feel as if you're in a garden. I also love the Hey Sugar sign that makes for the perfect picture! They also have a British telephone booth, a scooter bar cart, along with inspirational signs that add that fun good vibes! Every little detail is well thought over and it shows. They have a huge selection of unique flavor combinations that are creative and delicious! I will definitely be back every time I'm in town! Snickerdoodle cupcake This cupcake was crumbly, dense, and rich! I loved how it had a swirl of cinnamon goodness throughout the cupcake. Not only was it aesthetically pleasing. But, it added a demotion of flavor to the cupcake that made it stand appart from just a regular cupcake. The frosting was piled high! It was airy, sweet, and light! It tasted like cinnamon French toast but, in frosting format! Unbelievably good! They also put the cutest little snickerdoodle cookie on top. I loved it! It added that little bit of much needed texture and that cuteness that I'm a sucker for. I'm big about multiple textures and well thought out meals. This cupcake was just that! If you are craving something sweet and out of this world. Get this cupcake! Only if you're a huge cinnamon fan though. Strawberry lemonade sparkling I ordered a strawberry lemonade sparkling because it was a really hot day. It was definitely a wonderful suggestion! It was sweet, tangy, and zesty! And, it was unbelievably beautiful. I loved the elegant small dices of strawberries mixed in with the sparkling lemonade. The slice of lemon and the strawberry on the side tied the whole drink together. It was just beautiful! If you enjoy carbonated beverages. Then, you have to try this wonderful creation. I personally thought that it was a little on the sweet side. But, it was still really good! My friend enjoyed every last sip of this Summery surprise. And, I guarantee that every time we're in town that we'll get one.

This is heaven for chocolate lovers!!!…read more My husband and I arrived early in Geneva to meet someone for dinner. We wanted to get a quick drink before dinner and didn't have very high expectations. I ordered the hot chocolate and my husband ordered a mocha coffee. The drinks were phenomenal. I was blown away. This was by far the best hot chocolate that I've ever had. It was rich and thicker than your typical hot chocolate. My husband's coffee was rich and had a bold coffee flavor. I can't wait to go back and try more chocolate creations. One note, although the drinks we had were fantastic, they were not cheap. Expect to pay premium prices for a premium experience. The interior of the All Chocolate Kitchen deserves it's own Yelp page. There were many huge chocolate statues, creations, and art pieces. Everywhere you look, your senses are engaged. You would probably have to spend several hours here to do justice to the decor. This is a feast for the eyes as much as for your stomach. The chef has been featured on the Food Network and holds several Guiness World Records. Go to All Chocolate Kitchen for the chocolate creations, stay and admire all of the art.

We ordered the iced pistachio latte as the refreshing conclusion to the chocolate feast. A delectable treat in Geneva.

It doesn't look like a brewery would be there. Actually it is. They specialize in fruity ones and sours, so not beers that are hoppy obviously. Beers are typically hoppy to some point, but these aren't. It's for sure a type not many are used to having. These all have a lot of fruit, but what's unique is the fruit is added after the brewing process. Adds a lot of fruit flavor. These often have the consistency of a smoothie. It's about $8 a can. They brew in pretty small batches at Church Street Brewery in Itasca, and serve these at this taproom. Best we had the last time was the Bistro Pineapple Strawberry Habanero. This is a Berliner style weisse. Consistency was thick like a smoothie would be. This had a lot of fruit flavor, but it also had a tartness. For sure we could try some of these beers again. It's located on First Street. They're closed Mondays to Thursdays, pretty limited hours, so it's a place to go on weekends.

The taproom is a simple but comfortable set up with plenty of options for small and larger groups. When I went up to order, there were a couple of options that caught my eye. Energy City Brewing takes on a lot of Bistro/Coffee Shop flavors and transforms them into beers. Flavors like pineapple banana cream pie to grasshopper mint. Thankfully there were a couple of canned options available to sample. Their prices are comparable to other specialty pint prices. I'll definitely be back when in the area to try out another fresh option.

They also have cute little cookie decorating kits out right now for Easter ready to be purchased. I ended up getting the croissant stuffed and topped with chocolate chip cookie dough. It was delicious. Not overly sweet, but I ate it two different times throughout the day. It's definitely worth the $5! The employees were very patients as we looked at all the goodies trying to decide what we wanted, and willing to answer any questions.

They were your regukar flavors except for Lemon White chocolate. i bought 1 of each along with their cranberry walnut scone. If you like the thin cooked that spread and remain soft, these will work for you. I need crispy edges at least. The scone was a very sad, depressed lump. After my first taste, i broke off pieces around the edge (pictures included) and you will see a cranberry walnut scone bereft of cranberries. There was NO TASTE of the dried fruit, even when i picked one out, it was a tiny teardrop of a possibility of the tart/sweet dried gem normally enjoyed. (maybe they should be macerated in orange juice or eben cranberry juice). oh! the walnuts were large nice pieces but with the horrible raw-flour taste overpowering even the mighty walnut, the lump could not be redeemed.
