Cappuccino

Three and a half, actually. Went with a big group; we sat in a big room to the side of the main dining area. I chose the chicken francese (a bit plain, had to ask for gravy, which was good); served with mashed potatoes (fairly good) and steamed vegetables (little taste left). Service was good. Very nice Caesar salad. My wife and I asked for a cappuccino, which elicited a sour look (why? We were charged five bucks apiece, which is fair, but a tip was added, which isn't fair; the bill then asked for a tip, which was very annoying). Cappuccinos were quite good. Overall, fine, not great; forgettable, really.

Very nice ambience!

It had been about 4 years since I'd been at The Corner Bistro, and then it was just for lunch. My wife recently went there for dinner with friends and said it was very good. Last night, we met another couple and had an excellent dinner here. The restaurant was very busy on a Saturday night, but we were able to get a late reservation. The restaurant is very nice inside and we had a comfortable booth. Our food was delicious! My wife and I split the arugula salad and eggplant appetizer. For entrees, we both ordered the Stuffed Shrimp. The shrimp was so good, served alongside mashed potatoes and spinach. Everyone enjoyed their meals! This is a BYOB, so don't forget your wine. Prices reasonable. Huge parking lot. Friendly service. We won't wait so long to go back again!

Wow wow wow, we went here this morning for Mother's Day and the setup and service was absolutely phenomenal! Everything from the decorations, balloons, ambiance, and especially the food was premium! The food was absolutely top notch. They had a buffet brunch with everything from a carving station to a chocolate fountain. We would absolutely come here again for a special occasion!!!

Warning deceptive credit card practices in full effect here with their portable point of service device. Our server Reynaldo double dipped as he added a $30 dollar tip on my Pop's credit card after I already paid him his $40 tip in cash and made a notation on the receipt [see picture]. We've been coming here since they first opened and always enjoyed every aspect of the Corner Bistro but this is a deal breaker. Won't Be Returning.

My wife n I have been going here since they opened. It food quality still isn't what it was years ago and the prices have gone up a lot. I get it prices have gone up on everything everywhere but the service has gotten so bad. Tonight we went for Mother's Day dinner. We had a 5:30 reservation for 7 adults 1 child. We talked to three different people when we got there and three different people had no clue where to seat us. Then it took forever for a waitress to find our table. After taking our order she disappeared NEVER to be seen or heard from again. Normally I drink a lot of water but I was only able to find someone one time to refill my glass. After he filled it n handed it back to me I noticed something floating in the glass. I looked like paper. He filled my daughters glass n there was something in her glass also. My grandsons napkin was really dirt I asked for a new one and I was told they ran or of napkins but she could bring us paper ones. She never can back with the clean napkins. We had to ask the bus boy to bring us water , wine glasses, and bread. The hostess came over at the end of dinner to clear the table n asked if we wanted coffee. We said yes but she left n we had to stop someone else to take the desert order. Sadly my wife insisted on leaving 20%. It's my opinion that a 20% tip is for good service and needs to be earned. If you can't do the job you don't deserve the tip!!! After tonight's service issues, I have NO plans of ever going back.

As we walked in we were greeted by the lovely sounds of an accordion player ; which made us feel special in a corny sort of romantic way... perfect for this place. Great staff delicious food and had a wine selection . Their specials were diverse and the soups were tasty. I cannot say we had a bad night The there breeds were delicious. I hope to go back soon.

Meh. Tried it 3 times and we were underwhelmed each time. Never had a meal there that was anything better than just ok.

Verona Restaurant - Pork Osso Bucco

Verona Restaurant

Tonight's dinner brought us back to a familiar favorite, Verona's -- our long-standing neighborhood…read moretemple of carbs, sauce, and Italian hospitality. Despite residing in the humble kingdom of the strip mall, stepping inside feels less "next to a dry cleaner" and more "small Tuscan escape curated by people who care deeply about napkin symmetry." Given the Memorial Day weekend crowds (and my refusal to battle hungry locals in the wild), we actually made reservations for once. Arriving just before 5:30 PM, we were seated immediately -- a victory worthy of applause. The ambiance was immaculate. Every staff member seemed dedicated to the art of dining room perfection, but special recognition goes to Arturo, our server and part-time furniture engineer. The man could be seen adjusting silverware and napkins by literal millimeters while also ensuring not a single table dared wobble under his watch. Frankly, if NASA needs precision calibration help, they should call Arturo. A brief panic set in when I didn't spot one of my favorite appetizers on the menu: the legendary meatballs with whipped ricotta and marinara. I asked Arturo if they had been discontinued, and after consulting with the chef, he returned with the words every hungry patron dreams of hearing: "Of course we can make them for you." He even offered a choice between marinara and vodka sauce, which felt dangerously close to fine dining royalty treatment. I chose marinara. The meatballs arrived exactly as remembered -- rich, comforting, and fully capable of repairing emotional damage. For dinner, my girlfriend ordered the gnocchi with mushrooms, peas, garlic panko, and a light cream sauce (minus bacon). The gnocchi earned immediate entry into her upper tier of favorites, which is a list she guards more carefully than most people guard passwords. Meanwhile, I bravely wandered outside my usual order and selected the pork chops giambotta with sausage, fingerling potatoes, onions, mushrooms, and sweet peppers. The portion size suggested the chef may personally want me to hibernate through winter. The pork itself was cooked beautifully with excellent flavor, though the sauce situation leaned a little too oily and could have used more punch. Not bad by any means -- just missing that dramatic Italian grandmother "kiss of flavor" that makes you question every other pork chop you've eaten. Service remained exceptional throughout. Water glasses were refilled before reaching dangerous dehydration levels, a level of attentiveness I deeply respect. We were far too full for dessert on-site, but displaying the restraint of mature adults, we ordered ricotta cheesecake and tiramisu to go -- because suffering without dessert is simply unnecessary. Overall, another fantastic experience at Verona's. Great food, warm hospitality, and an atmosphere that makes you forget you parked next to a nail salon. Absolutely worth the drive for both locals and non-locals alike. Just remember: it's BYOB, so come prepared to pair your pasta with your finest grocery-store wine expertise.

The decor was very nicely decorated. Our server greeted us and asked our preferred water. Then gave us menus including wine list and specials of the day. After taking our wine order a plate of antipasto and bread came to our table. We started with a shrimp appetizer off the menu it was in a tasty sauce with artichoke hearts, tomato and capers. A great start. After finishing our appetizer our entrees arrived. We had the chicken francaise, chicken with hot peppers and sausage and I had the double cut veal chop. Everything had a little potato and vegetable on plate. But we also ordered a side of mashed potato and asparagus. All of the meal was presented nicely as well as tasted great. The. We weee celebrating all of our birthdays so we asked for three different desserts on one plate so we all could try a little of each. We had the key lime, chocolate mousse cake and apple strudel. They seemed to be bought desserts but all were good tasting. I do recommend this restaurant after this visit. We will be returning.
