A few months ago, I had bought a Groupon and needed to use it fast. I have learned to not leave using them until a week before they expire. I have been to its location in Aurora in the past without a Groupon and loved it. I decided to give this one a try. I went after work on a Friday night. The Corned Beef House is in a small plaza with a few eateries. Parking was not an issue. I parked and walked in. I waited at the counter to place my order. A couple visiting from the States was ordering food to go. When it was finally my turn, the helpful, friendly woman asked whether I was getting food to dine in or take out. I said both, which was an answer that she wasn't expecting. My Groupon consisted of two deli sandwiches and two orders of fries. I wanted a sandwich and fries to eat in the restaurant, and the other set to go. She then understood. I also ordered a Diet Coke, which came in a bottle. I found a table and sat down. The woman brought the Diet Coke to me. It was nice and cold. This place serves breakfast. I would love to give it a try someday. I liked the feel of the restaurant, which is similar to its Aurora location. I ordered the Montreal smoked meat sandwich to devour immediately. I ordered the corned beef one to take back home. My meal came over roughly fifteen minutes later. You get a generous amount of meat in the Montreal smoked meat. I asked for honey mustard in it and it was heavenly! I got it on light rye bread. Yum! The fries were okay. I'm not a huge fries person to begin with. There were a lot of them. I should have ordered gravy! I was pleased that they had the skins on. I got my corned beef sandwich and fries to take home. I dropped off the fries that evening when I had visited my parents. My dad had a craving for fries and he inhaled them on the spot! I had the corned beef sandwich for breakfast. It also had honey mustard and a generous amount of meat ,all between two slices of light rye bread. It was delicious once I warmed it up. It was the breakfast of champions before I headed off on my road trip to Montreal. I used the washroom at the restaurant. It was clean and fine. I loved my experience here. The Corned Beef House dishes out consistent deli sandwiches that are yummy. I'd come back. (305)

I was a bit squeamish looking at the order I just placed when I saw it was a 'pub' but wasn't a pub but then found out just now it isn't a pub. ...anyways--they provide a well rounded meal and pump out some great beef!

This is some real good place, I just tried it for the first time today. The restaurant's interiors are funky, trendy and modern, with some nice music playing in the background setting just the right ambiance. The place was not busy, about 4 tables of medium size groups, however, there was one poor girl running around the place. She did what she can with her full capability, but the place certainly needs more staff. I ordered a couple of salads, a half pound of corned beef and a couple of soups. The flavours are there, it might need some seasoning, but I would definitely go back and try other items on the menu. The place surely deserves a visit!

Bought deluxe platter from Groupon. It is a take out but very yummy. Big portion paired with 2 beers. Will try dine in when reopening.

Moving to Thornhill, I checked out Groupon for places that had some good deals, and I saw this gem. I have to say their Montreal Smoked Meat sandwich was amazing and their fries were perfect almost like chip truck fries. The service was top notch, fast and efficient. Our server Adina was very friendly and quick. We will be coming here again!

Excellent food, moist smoked meat and corned beef. Love the fries. Service excellent, really nice and clean with great decor. Would return for sure.

Old fashioned Montreal smoke meat for an extra $1.50?

As an ex-barista, I'm fussy--I hate spending money and not getting a quality product. Unfortunately, the coffee was a swing and a miss. I ordered one iced latte and one hot latte. In both drinks, the espresso was burnt. I actually watched the barista pulling the shots, and I could tell immediately. To make matters worse, the hot drink was barely a latte; it was essentially a cappuccino based on the absurd amount of foam on top. Plus, the milk itself was ruined. There's a certain temperature and texture for steaming milk, and this was clearly burnt milk that had been frothed way too aggressively. Aesthetically, the café is lovely--it's cute and a great spot to work from home. My recommendation? Skip the espresso drinks. Maybe try the matcha or a pastry instead. I definitely won't be back for the coffee.

That level of care really comes through in the cup; you can taste the depth and intentionality in every sip. I ordered the vanilla bean iced latte, and it was easily one of the best espresso bases I've had in a while. The shot itself was rich and layered: deep, chocolatey, and nutty striking a really nice balance between bitterness and acidity. It finished with a smooth, almost creamy note that made the whole drink incredibly enjoyable. The only downside is the size-to-price ratio. At around CAD $8.50 for what felt like a 10 oz drink, it's definitely on the pricier side for something that goes down this easily. Still, I'd absolutely come back when I'm in the mood for a more premium coffee experience. (Funny note - the barista and I had a small rant together about how people order "iced cappuccino" and macchiato expecting Starbucks milk sugary drink instead of the "proper" shot with dollop of foam. I understand their pain hahah)

So much to choose from and so many options, you'll probably leave with boxes full like many of the others here. Be prepared to take out another mortgage with the amount you'll spend here. But it's so worth it. Buttery flaky goodness in literally every bite. I had the almond croissant and the chocolate cherry pastry and oh my gosh, their flavours are SO right. It is a LONG wait if you come to purchase in person (aka not a pickup order). HIGHLY RECOMMEND pickup option. We waited 45-60 mins on a rainy day. It is super popular! Some items were sold out due to popularity, but honestly not worth the hype. It is good pastries and a bit more unique due to their flavor combinations, but the execution feels rushed and dry. We had their croissants, which should be freshly made, but somehow it was dry, stale, and the only thing saving it was the filling. Not sure what happened as I've heard good things about it. Very much a swing and a miss. If we try it again, will definitely try to order for a pickup. Their sandwiches were much better, but there is standing room only in the cafe so its a pickup and go place. It is in an industrial location, so driving and parking is out of the way. For the location, it probably is the better option around (aka Vaughan), but either a bit west or east, there are better options without the long wait times. Try it at least once though, and try at least one of every item, you might find something you like, for me, it was their sandwiches, even though I was there for their pastries.

The places is pretty spacious so you can pretty much find good seating. They are not as busy here as it used to be. There are plenty of other places in this mall to go for coffee so that might be it. OR it could be the lack of decent service. I know we live in a digital age with an illuminated glass stuck in front of our face all the time, BUT not during work... PLEASE. Walked in. Look at the display menu. Disinterested young gal with her phone plugged into the wall (probably she drained the battery by gluing her face to the screen) looked up long enough to ask what I want. The annoying display changes menu items faster than necessary so it's difficult to decide. She then says, there are menus there - so go get it and look at it and bother me when you have made a choice - well that's what I think she said. And back to the phone screen. Again, coffee here is decent. The thick cut bread for sandwiches are good too. But wow... service is annoying. Oh ... Did I mention the other gal was so busy with her BF at the counter seating that she didn't once come to the service area as she was providing service to him only - so to speak? And for those who are startled by loud noises, the over head speakers that they use to tell us to pick up the food when ready... really LOUD!!! You know, they could have brought over our order instead of alarming us. And by this little gesture of service, it would make us feel less ripped off that we had to TIP before service. Really?!? Hate that! Oh... BTW... yes, she was still glued to her screen sitting off to the side. Her life in the digital world was more important than the people that helps pay her so that she can afford the electricity for her world. You know... most places don't allow this behaviour and demands that they only use their phones on breaks. I guess she really doesn't give a #$#@*(! And neither do I. All in all, going to go to the OTHER places in this mall. Jeers!
