I was looking for a local place to have some printing done and that was affordable. This place is the greatest. John is a very nice guy and believes in making sure you have the product printed as desired. There was a little issue with having my file printed and it came out looking more dark/red than the original file, so I went back home, edited my file and tweaked the colors a bit, and he sent me an email back of a picture of the revised product. I was downtown and needed some color prints and really didn't want to use Kinko's... So I did what any good Yelper would do and used the App to find a different copy shop. I called to see what the rates were for color copies, I was surprised it was only .25 cents! This probably won't last too long, the owner said it was until he ran out of some product. This is a small copy shop near campus. They have copiers available and do limited in house printing. The majority of their business is supplying packets for professors at the U of O. The place is small and casual, breaking free from the corprate vein of Kinko's. If you need packets, brouchures or basic copies in general, they will be glad to help. They do not have the full capacities that Kinko's does, but their turn around for your orders is generally same or next day. Support locally owned business! read more

So... I've been using The Copy Shop for a while. I like them employees. Nice. Helpful. Competent. Lately, it's been just this one older fella working. He's gruff, kinda rude. He's treated me like he couldn't care less if I use his business, and like I'm a bother- on slow days, and all I ever get are b&w copies from my usb. He's easily frustrated by technology that he doesn't know how to use (which, if you watch, it looks like he just bought pc for dummies. Not exaggerating). One day, he couldn't communicate with the printer he wanted to use, so he improperly removed my usb, told me I had to come back. Clearly, I didn't. He probably could have fixed the problem by rebooting, but you know... it's okay. Don't go out of your way. I wish somebody would tell him that he's NOT working out. I've been using Pac Mail up the street, but I would rather use them. read more

I really wanted to support this shop because it seems like a good little classic kind of humble, local copy shop. Yea, build local economies and support individuals in our communities. The problem is that this shop seems to be hiding behind the local and cheap banner while refusing to update their equipment or learn how to use what they have. In fact, I had used their services several times, always astonished by the low quality of the prints and amount of time that it took to figure out how to use the copier. I keep going back because one of the workers is extremely friendly (the guy with he long ponytail). Although it takes him an inordinate amount of time to accomplish basic copying tasks - he prioritizes serving the customers that are actually waiting in the store and doesn't charge for the stacks of screw ups that he makes. Today, on the other hand he had difficulty enlarging my 8.5x11 to 11x17 so he had another guy do it while he helped another customer. The new guy stretched and distorted the image (even though the actual image on the page was proportioned specifically to be enlarged to 11x17). He continued to blame me for not cutting the white off my page, or having the image too dark, etc. etc. At some point I said sarcastically, "don't worry man, I won't bring these complicated jobs in in the future." So, he came at me with my image and told me to leave the store and to "have fun at Kinko's" I doubt you will have such a rude experience, but there are other local shops in Eugene that aren't Kinko's. If these guy want to upgrade their equipment so it doesn't destroy images, fix basic equipment like their mechanical cutter, and work on their customer service, I might consider supporting them again. Keep in mind that they essentially act as a broker for anything but basic copying, so if you want cutting, folding, flyers, posters, etc. they are just paying someone else to do it anyway - why not go straight to the source? read more

I would never go here ever again if I didn't have course packets to buy from here. Their customer service is horrible. One girl who always seems to be there when I go in never smiles and is very unpleasant. The employees have no personality and are not helpful in the slightest.
