The employee who greeted us was the weirdest part to me. She comes out from behind the registers and almost blocked me from coming in, as she asked what we were looking for. Like I had to state my purpose for coming in before I was allowed in. I found that to be really weird and a bit creepy. It certainly didn't make me feel welcomed in the store. We found the pens I wanted, then went to check prices in printer ink. I didn't need any, but the last time I ordered on Amazon, it took forever to arrive. So I figured if it was a comparable price, I could buy it here instead. Nope, it is way more expensive. Like almost $10 more for the ink I need. Which seems insane. We decided to leave from here, and not explore anymore of the store because we didn't feel welcome. Would I return? Probably not, and it was simply because the employee who greeted us made us feel unwelcome.

Office Max on Willamette Street has really gone down hill. This evening I needed one photocopy and…read moreasked the attendant at the copy counter of the copy center if I could get one copy made. I didn't want to use a credit card in the self serve machine for just one copy. In less than 15 seconds, she came back with the photocopy and proceeded to tell me that it would be $2.50. "What?," I replied. She showed me a sign by the cash register, blocked by another sign, stating that one copy costs $2.50. I asked her why she didn't tell me that at the time of the request. She shrugged her shoulders. I asked to speak to a manager and along came, DESTINY.... WOW! A 20-something, rude, manner-less girl, who rushed to the counter and emanated a putrid stench of body odor. She clearly received little to no training on how to treat customers with respect. My bank removed the $2.50 debit from my credit card. I will go into Office Max tomorrow for the very, last, time...to give them .35 cents for the one photo copy that I received. This Office Depot location won't be operating for much longer, guaranteed. You need customers to succeed. They are leaving one at a time and NOT coming back.

After I said yes, they did a little work, then disappeared for a few months, not to be seen again until I called and asked what was going on. A few rounds of this same approach over a year [rinse, wash, repeat] and still no functioning product, so I finally complained - leading to an email telling me they were cancelling the project and not charging me their last invoice [for the project they never did/completed] because 'they couldn't get it to function in a manner meeting my expectations.' Meeting my expectations? Here are the expectations that apparently exceeded their abilities: (1) provide a functioning product as agreed; (2) tell me when it's working and how to use it; and (3) complete the project in something approaching a reasonable timeline. How unreasonable of me, surely justifying the kick to the curb when I complained. I wrote their President Doug Pitassi about this - crickets - leading me to understand their 'customer service" and business model is "We'll charge you, ignore you, leave you hanging, and then kick you loose if you don't' like it." Waste your time and money here at your own peril - there are certainly lots of companies that WANT your business and are willing to go above and beyond in an effort to provide good [or at least competent] service to get your business. And then there's Pacific Office Automation..........

I have used them for all my framing that other areas are unable to provide. The service has been excellent both Jason and Allan know what to expect from me as I am building an inventory of series in different styles. I was a little hesitant at first, but the kind gentleman reassured me and explained how to do it. This was also going to be the fastest and least expensive way for me to get my picture framed and also meet the deadline. The website was easy to use and I was able to select from a number of frames, mats, and glass or plexiglass. Three days later, my framing materials were ready. I picked it up the following day and the gentleman at the counter explained to me how to make sure and put it together correctly. I brought the picture home and put it together, and the result was beautiful. I highly recommend this frame shop for their excellent service and cost effective Do-it-yourself framing --if that's some thing you're keen to try. I'm sure having the piece professionally framed would have resulted in excellent quality work as well. I would trust them to do this if that was something I needed in the future.

Specifically I was trying to burn a few CD's for my American mom, and the burns failed, so now I have a bunch of coasters! Mom thinks the software had some kind of encryption parameter switched on, or perhaps the music I have is copyright-protected with a DRM, but I told her that it's actually a hardware failure! When I called, Mike answered the phone, and he seems like quite a sweet guy! I explained my situation to him, and he informed me of the possibility that I may need new DVD/CD Rom drives. He says that when it comes to reading and writing CD's and DVD's, drives and burners can fail after a short amount of time, as these machines aren't built to last like they used to be! Fast forward to this afternoon. I went to Eugene Computers with my provider, Karry, and they actually had the right kind of DVD/CD Rom drives for me! And better yet, they let me recycle the old ones that I brought in! I brought the new ones home, and by the way they're brand new and sealed, for which I paid $37.00 a piece (not a bad price at all!), and when I opened them up and plugged them into my machines, they actually work wonders! I recommend Eugene Computers to anyone who needs new replacement parts and even computer repairs. You guys are the best! You deserve 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 stars from me!

(Well, the getting married part was too!) I stumbled across their webpage and was blown away by the real life examples of other wedding/birth announcements/save the dates/business cards they had on their site. I immediately told my husband that no matter what the cost we were going with Twin Ravens Press. He didn't like that idea but told me to contact them and see if they were within our budget. WELL not only were they within our budget, but we got to help with a custom design!!! We emailed Kristin some examples of certain designs we saw and liked and she came up with an amazing design for our invitations, reply cards and the envelopes! She was easy to "talk" to (everything was done via email) and extremely prompt!! I am now in the process of trying to get my husband on board with having a baby so Twin Ravens Press can do our baby announcements!!! For custom letterpress wedding invitations, Twin Ravens Press not only did an amazing job but were extremely reasonable with their prices. I cannot say anything bad about my experience with Twin Ravens Press. Kristin pretty much kicks serious stationary butt!!!
