I had to drop off a three pre-paid returns. I didn't want to deal with the hassle of the post office. I was on my lunch and didn't have a lot of time. I was in and out in a matter of minutes. they really try to minimize your shipping cost After a disappointing trip to the PO to mail a pkg, I decided to take it to Postal Stop just to see if it was less expensive. The employee, without my asking, said I think we can put this in a priority mail envelope and reduce the cost $4. So he popped it in, taped it, and attached the mailing label. I haven't had the customer service problems other people have had here, people have always been nice to me. Their prices are some of the cheapest in town for PO box rental, they have good opening hours, and they'll notify you via email when something comes in.. well.. kinda. And their privacy policy is a joke. I asked an employee about this when a package came in I wasn't expecting which I found in my mailbox, and he copped to saying that it doesn't always work, so if you rely on a service like that, this isn't the place to go. They're aware of the problem and not fixing it. If you are buying PO boxes for privacy, you should peep this line from their contract. Most places I've looked at will say something along the lines of "We won't release your information unless compelled by subpoena or other legal measure", which is the minimum of privacy you'd expect from the USPS. This place is a little friendlier to law enforcement, saying that "Information provided by applicant will be kept confidential and will not knowingly be disclosed without applicant's prior consent, except for law enforcement or postal operation purposes, in which case Mail Service intends to cooperate fully". Considering PO Box places are in the business of privacy, I found this policy quite surprising. So if you're getting a PO box to avoid your stalker ex-boyfriend who happens to be a city cop or a mailman, skip the Postal Stop. read more

BEWARE! I had to send a single page "Power of Attorney" from Eugene to Seattle by FedEx "Priority Overnight". Postal Stop charged me $61.26 for delivery by 10:30 AM the next morning. It was not delivered till almost 1 PM the following day. Postal Stop's price was almost double the regular FedEx price of $34.00 I would have been charged had I taken it to the FedEx store on Willamette. I went back to Postal Stop to discuss the overcharge issue and was told basically "That's what we charge. I can't (won't) do anything about it". I will never set foot in Postal Stop again. read more

I love this place. They hold my mail and packages indefinitely (or forward the mail), and I can get small amazon and walmart deliveries there, because it is a real address. Also, they are very affordable and the main employee has been consistently friendly and welcoming to me over many visits. I travel full time, so this place is perfect for me to buy hard to find items off the internet and collect them a few times a year from the shop. read more

I used to use this store all the time for shipping packages. However, in the last few years, both the owner and his employee(s) have gotten really rude. I went in and asked for a piece of packing tape to secure a label and he told me I could buy a roll! He won't take any USPS mail- "The post office is down the street" and he makes it very clear if you have a prepaid label that it is a giant eye roll for him to actually let you put it in the box. I've started using the mailbox centers downtown. At least there I can pay for or drop off my shipping without a massive side dish of attitude. read more

Wow. So I called the postal stop fearing traffic would keep me from arriving before they closed - and it did I arrived 2 minutes after they had closed - but I noticed someone still at the counter so I knocked on the door - and asked if it was still possible to pick up my package - to my surprise the 'service rep' completely lost his temper and began scolding me for wasting his time and asking me rhetorical questions like 'can't you see we are closed ?! ' I said I just thought perhaps you could make an exception and he began to raise his voice and leaning forward toward me - practically yelled who is this package from are you trying to pick up from so and so ? I said yes - this is where they sent my package and he said - 'ya know what ! I'm gonna call them tomorrow and send your package back and you can figure out a different way to get your package because I don't want you coming back here !' I was totally astonished and appalled. Is it even legal to tell me I can't pick up my package ? I have no idea but I really feel like he is holding my package hostage and it makes me feel pretty out of sorts because I've never had a retail clearly freak out just because I asked if he could atill get my mail - I had no idea it was so complicated - and then totally loose his cool. It's the guy with the glasses - about 6 feet tall - and pretty offensive in his tone - all because I knocked and asked if there's any chance I could still get my mail. Good luck with these guys - his response was unbelievable - he yelled at me and and never stopped scowling - it was like Treating me with any respect was completely beneath him. I'm still totally shocked at how aggressive and rude this man was. read more

I have been using this place and their services for close to a year now and, in all seriousness, have absolutely no complaints! They have gone out of their way to assist me in every matter that has arose. I have a p.o. box with them, have used their notary services, had copies made, sent packages out, bought shipping supplies, the list just goes on and on. I have had absolutely no problems with them. When someone is already collecting the packages and mail from your p.o. box before you even get through the door, I believe it says a lot about their work ethics and service. Anthony and Cameron are both great employees from what I can see. If I were the owner of any business, I would consider them both valuable additions to my staff. To sum this up, "The Postal Stop" is a great business to use for your shipping needs and Anthony and Cameron will both give you the time, expertise and service you desire while being polite, friendly and all with a big smile under those darn masks! read more

Actually, he has gotten much more friendly over the years! I love this place, cause they have no wait AND I haven't had to go to the PO in years! Been going to postal stop for at least 10-15 years! I don't have to worry about having my addresses as they are stored in their system, they are always taping stuff up for me and especially the young guy is super friendly! It's a must! read more

This store and its employees are the BEST !! I have rented a mailbox here for one year and they have helped with most of my gift packing, shipping , as well. I have received exceptional service from the owner and all of his employees. It is never crowded and they are always cheerful and helpful- way beyond what is expected. For example: It has been pouring rain and cold today. A huge box arrived for me and I exclaimed to the owner that I dreaded carrying the box out in the rain and had no idea how I would carry it up the stairs to my 3rd floor apartment. I didn't want to pay a delivery service fee for a small table that I knew was inside. He offered and carried the box -in the rain- out to my car, removed the box and loaded the small table into the car for me... amazing and so appreciated !!! I highly recommend the Postal Shop on 11th Ave. for all your needs. This is the best place in town !! read more

I've been going to this establishment for a couple years now dropping off packages for my business. I often bring heavy packages. I was asked to bring them around the back so they didn't have to handle them. Fair enough. Then I'm told we are bringing too many and should just call UPS for a pick up. Then due to security reasons we can't bring them to the back any more. Now, they are setting a 70 lb limit. "I'm not going to break my back for a package I'm not making any money on". Seems like it's part of the deal for being an authorized drop off location, especially when I've made every effort for them to not even to have to handle the package. Aside from this, the owner is constantly rude and unfriendly. I hate going to this place. read more

Fair enough but he was very rude to me when I asked him if it was a problem for me to drop off packages here since he is an agent for UPS. His answer was yes. I'm sorry I wasn't a paying customer today. I have purchased tape from him before to get a package ready to ship. but that ended today. Someone who is an agent for a large company like UPS should be more appreciative of someone coming in to his shop even if it was to drop off a package. I was thinking about using him for my personal shipping but will never go back there again. read more
