Troy worked overtime to get my old art printer running again. Can't thank him enough!

I came in here with my husband this afternoon because we were exploring the area and I figured I…read morewould pick up some new pens since I was here. The employee who greeted us was the weirdest part to me. She comes out from behind the registers and almost blocked me from coming in, as she asked what we were looking for. Like I had to state my purpose for coming in before I was allowed in. I found that to be really weird and a bit creepy. It certainly didn't make me feel welcomed in the store. We found the pens I wanted, then went to check prices in printer ink. I didn't need any, but the last time I ordered on Amazon, it took forever to arrive. So I figured if it was a comparable price, I could buy it here instead. Nope, it is way more expensive. Like almost $10 more for the ink I need. Which seems insane. We decided to leave from here, and not explore anymore of the store because we didn't feel welcome. Would I return? Probably not, and it was simply because the employee who greeted us made us feel unwelcome.

Office Max on Willamette Street has really gone down hill. This evening I needed one photocopy and…read moreasked the attendant at the copy counter of the copy center if I could get one copy made. I didn't want to use a credit card in the self serve machine for just one copy. In less than 15 seconds, she came back with the photocopy and proceeded to tell me that it would be $2.50. "What?," I replied. She showed me a sign by the cash register, blocked by another sign, stating that one copy costs $2.50. I asked her why she didn't tell me that at the time of the request. She shrugged her shoulders. I asked to speak to a manager and along came, DESTINY.... WOW! A 20-something, rude, manner-less girl, who rushed to the counter and emanated a putrid stench of body odor. She clearly received little to no training on how to treat customers with respect. My bank removed the $2.50 debit from my credit card. I will go into Office Max tomorrow for the very, last, time...to give them .35 cents for the one photo copy that I received. This Office Depot location won't be operating for much longer, guaranteed. You need customers to succeed. They are leaving one at a time and NOT coming back.

When we last purchased an imager, we were told it would come with indexing software. It didn't -…read morebut they were willing to install it for an additional charge. After I said yes, they did a little work, then disappeared for a few months, not to be seen again until I called and asked what was going on. A few rounds of this same approach over a year [rinse, wash, repeat] and still no functioning product, so I finally complained - leading to an email telling me they were cancelling the project and not charging me their last invoice [for the project they never did/completed] because 'they couldn't get it to function in a manner meeting my expectations.' Meeting my expectations? Here are the expectations that apparently exceeded their abilities: (1) provide a functioning product as agreed; (2) tell me when it's working and how to use it; and (3) complete the project in something approaching a reasonable timeline. How unreasonable of me, surely justifying the kick to the curb when I complained. I wrote their President Doug Pitassi about this - crickets - leading me to understand their 'customer service" and business model is "We'll charge you, ignore you, leave you hanging, and then kick you loose if you don't' like it." Waste your time and money here at your own peril - there are certainly lots of companies that WANT your business and are willing to go above and beyond in an effort to provide good [or at least competent] service to get your business. And then there's Pacific Office Automation..........

He didn't try to badmouth any other companies. He simply made us a great proposal. We ended up sticking with the same company we've been with, but if they hadn't worked hard to keep us we would have definitely been going with POA.
