He took our engagement photos a year before our wedding and then he and an assistant shot our entire wedding. The books he puts together for both of the engagement and wedding photo shoots were great and we got a disk of all the images as well. Mark was so easy to work with. We originally picked one package and after our engagement session asked if we could upgrade and he had no problem changing our package around! The prices are excellent, the selection is very good, and the website is easy to navigate. The shipping is always very speedy even when I choose the slower and less expensive options. The books are packed with a level of care and skill I have never encountered with any other shop. The books are stacked together thoughtfully and securely bound with a clear plastic cling wrap. They are cushioned with a lot of packing peanuts. I have never once received anything from Milestone Ministries that was less than pristine. Everything is as good and fresh as if I'd have picked it directly off the printing press! I originally began dealing with Milestone Ministries many years ago when I was searching for a place to purchase Pathway Readers (Amish school readers) and Rod and Staff English. I was so impressed with the service and products that I continued to do business with them every year since and have purchased many other items for both the children and myself. I would certainly recommend this shop to other home schooling families looking for Amish and Mennonite materials whether you are Christian or not. I am no longer Christian but I did grow up with Anabaptist beliefs. These materials have been very helpful for me with my children because my children can easily identify with the overall lifestyle and even the clothing styles presented in the texts and storybooks because it is very similar to our every day circumstance. The character values are also on par with what I am striving to instill in my children. I have only felt the need to edit books with white out and a pen, skip a lesson, or provide an additional assignment very few times here and there. On the other hand, I have had to edit and discuss and explain a LOT more with secular texts than with these so it has made my life easier for sure. So, in a nutshell if you are looking for Amish and Mennonite materials you will likely not be disappointed if you deal with Milestone Ministries. They have a return policy AND they will even buy back used books too.
