I went in to Staples today to price a couple of monitors. What I was met with was great customer service. Tim, an associate, greeted me and helped me find exactly what I was looking for. Not only that, he explained the difference between VGA & HDMI connections & which ones I really needed & which I didn't need. I left and went back to the office to check prices, etc, elsewhere online. They had the best prices that I could find - even better than Wal-Mart! I've shopped Staples for many years & will definitely continue to do business with them. read more

Went to staples to get a computer chair for my new desk and was trying all types of seating with my husband and brother in law. After three minutes of trying out seating and comparing opinions, a woman approached us and said "Are you going to actually buy something or keep messing around?" Astonished I looked at the woman and said in all honesty I was looking for a new computer chair. She replied with a "Oh sure, well if you have any questions you can just ask." Once I decided on the seat I was buying I walked to the front and said "excuse me" before I even finished she cut me off saying "So you couldn't find anything then?" And looked at me as if she knew I wasn't going to buy anything. I said I had In fact picked a chair out and needed assistance. All of a sudden her mood changed and she excitedly said "OH GREAT LET ME HELP YOU OUT THEN" I don't think I've ever been so disappointed in the costumer service in my life. read more

Would give them zero if I could.Made A online purchase of A laptop for one of my kids. I noticed it it was cheap in store and ask if the would price match.$20 They said no problem.I told the cashier I paid half with A gift card and other part with CC. I would take the $20 refund in either GC or on CC. Well they refunded me the whole amount and I can not use the gift card now for 7 days or more. The cashier made a mistake and manager was no help. Called customer service and they even said the store did the price match wrong.They were very nice about it.Still have to call corporation and see if I can get my GC back sooner. I just want to use my gift card and be done with this Staples.Online and Walmart have better employees,prices and service.I'll still shop local,but not at Staples. Just A big headache read more

I went to the Albany store for assistance as I had purchased a GPS a few years ago and it needed a new disk for an update. I had purchased what I thought it needed and it was wrong. I went in and asked for assistance. Two staff, one talking to me over a reasonable space asked me questions and informed me they no longer sold the GPS. I should 'go to Aisle 6 and find it for myself'. I was asking for help because I had tried that. I am not technologically savvy. I said I'd go somewhere else where they would offer assistance and started to leave. Staff didn't say a word but a customer in line at the checkout stopped me and offered assistance!!!! Staples I'd had a rough week and I needed help. I am from overseas and rely on the GPS to get around. You failed. Miserably. read more

I went in a couple of months ago looking for a cable for my phone. I ended up getting into an argument with one of the guys working there who insisted that 1) USB-C type cords don't exist, and they are called something else "when they deliver them to staples" 2) asked me repeatedly if I meant micro-USB or a mini-USB (no I meant USB-C), 3) I tried explaining it to him that it's a new type of connector and that yes, USB to USB-C cables exist, and this went back and fourth THREE TIMES, and he insisted that USB-A and USB-B plugs didn't exist either. 4) He ended up telling me that he knew what he was talking about "because he had gone to art school for six years and knew a lot about technology" (really dude? six years? that seems long?), 5) was extremely condescending to me in a talking down to the little lady kind of way because he knew best, based on working at Staples and probably flunking out of his art program. Oops, guy, maybe this is a bad way to treat a customer, and maybe assuming that the girl you're talking to you is a moron is not a great idea? When I got back to town, on the same day, I went to the OfficeMax in Corvallis and picked up a USB to USB-C belkin cord, which they had a bunch of. GO THERE INSTEAD :P read more

Just purchased a new ACER computer for my wife at the Staples in Albany. It was a great experience. Chris, our tech sales person was very helpful from beginning to end. He helped with deciding which computer to purchase and then walked us through the purchase and set-up of our new computer. He made many helpful suggestions and looked for as many discounts as possible so that the bottom line was reasonable. My only concern was the amount of time (almost 2 hours total), I had to spend at the store getting everything approved and set up. But the computer works great and Chris was able to save all our files and documents from our old hard drive and install them on our new computer. We got a great deal on virus protection and an extended warranty too. I would definitely recommend Staples for help with your computer needs. read more

I went in for their bargain school supplies. I got 5 reams of paper for 1 cent each. That's 5 cents for all 5!! Can't pass that up. If you go to the back east side of the building by the furniture there are a couple of tables that have clearance on them!! Great to check every time you are there. You can get some good bargains!! read more

DON"T take your computer to this Staples, the computer techs have no idea what the hell they are doing. I knew more then they did and I don't know much about computers. You can find good deals some times but for every day buys Staples is pricey. read more

I would give negative stars if I could. For 1 their customer service is non existent. The printing services are a joke the "employee"( quotes because why are they paying these people) said yes they do same day printing for an extra fee. We wait for almost an hour and it hasn't even been sent to the printer. We leave because we have business to take care of (unlike staples apparently) to only get a call saying they cannot print them and it all has to be redone.... it took twenty minutes to make for... nothing. Thanks guy who decided to have an attitude instead of apologizing for their mess up. Thanks for the no help. Do not go there! P.s we went there before to make business cards and they had huge black lines where their printer messed them up, so Id stay away from them all together. Oh and they say they ship mail... not to a P.O box. Come on get it together, corporate is probably ashamed of this store. read more
