Wow it's been 6 months since I last visited this place. The food quality is the same, service the same and the coffee the same. Very comforting to know they're keeping standards to no disappoint. This time we for the Mushroom Medley, Puffed Galette and the Beef Hash. The medley was ok, bit plain and overpriced for what was served. The galette was quite special with spiced pumpkin and haloumi cheese, the cheese was epic. This dish is quite filling due to the pumpkin so be sure to have some water handy. The beef hash was full of flavour but it does get boring as everything is meshed up and every mouthful has the same taste. Would be better if there's something on the side to spice up and change the flavour. Overall, happy camper.

Large latte, coconut hot chocolate and a chocolate croissant. Perfect for an afternoon pick me up! $4.50 each for the large.

Staff are friendly and food is great! Service is pretty efficient, this place is always really busy and they don't make you wait too long. $4.50 for a large coffee - can't remember what the beans are, gold something. We tried their coconut hot chocolate too - something different :)

Delicious coffee and food, along with very friendly service. I found their menu quite unique compared to your usual brunch spot, with a range of garden dishes that include beet cured salmon and marinated portobellos. In my opinion, one of the most underrated brunch spots in the area.

I saw all the reviews on urban spoon, I was like oh my god this is it . On a rainy Saturday, parked the car outside and bumped my head on the boot when I was trying to grab an umbrella ( great start I know ). Walked in, awesome environment and interior settings. Love that hippiness like Brewtown Newtown :) ( by the way I love this place) Got told wait outside or near the door , this moment hit me , either the pain from hitting my head earlier or I am just grumpy. I was like "what wait outside" ? Anyway soon after, we got a table near the kitchen and a nice waitress came over as I was wiping the table with my own Kleenex , because the table was cleaned with a damp towel... ( I am sorry if I have a problem with that .....) She asked do u guys want anything to drink without brining us any menu . I was like " can we have the menu first ? " ( nothing wrong with her just me felt like the service was .....) Got our food , looks delicious and first bite was heaven and interesting .. 2nd bite , 3rd bite 4th bite ....every bite I took I was coming to the same conclusion - I need seasoning. Oh oh almost forgot the eggs were cooked perfectly ! Overall , I cannot rate it as high as others and I hope I am not the one being odd.... Try it yourself and let me know :)

One of the best coffees I've had in my adventures around Sydney. The house blend is Golden Cobra Human Cannonball. Love the depth of flavour. My double flat white and piccolo were both perfect. The staff were friendly, but a little hard to flag down when we wanted to order extra coffees. The food menu is unique and has very interesting combinations of flavours. It also changes regularly, which I really like. Both breakfasts we ordered were absolutely spot on, and not too large. The cafe felt really cosy and welcoming, lots of regulars including some working on laptops. An absolutely gorgeous communal wooden table. Can't wait to get back to this place!

You order at the front register, and they bring your order to you. I've only tried their hojicha latte and taro latte, but they are the best lattes (no coffee) I've ever had. They're so flavorful and rich with a fluffy foam design on top. The drink itself is smooth and creamy but not overly sweet. Hits the spot!

They've set up shop in a teeny tiny Lilliputian cottage in Kensington Lane in the new Central Park precinct. It backs onto Spice Alley and has light-filled interiors that are all white walls and light wood and it feel positively Scandinavian. Then there's the coffee. Good lord, man. It comes served in these custom cups, they're kind of grainy and glazed and feel like they've been hewn out of very light sandstone by some unnamed master craftsman who will die a nobody but be recognised posthumously as one of the finest artisans of this or any age, Van Gogh style. The barista had the obligatory mustache but boy, did this dude know what service felt like. Polite, friendly, charming, without being overbearing. Win stars out of five. Top class, thank you and goodnight.

I've been meaning to write up a review for weeks, but struggled to choose what to write about. The menu is seasonal and changes weekly, some samples include finely cut wagyu, crusted in dukkah and served on sourdough, honey-glazed bacon with fresh avocado, and mushrooms with ricotta. Almost everything comes served with sprinklings of sprouts and greens grown on the windowsill. The menu is small but there's almost always something for everyone; however, those looking for your classic big breakfast should come prepared to settle for something a little different. The quality of coffee is not entirely consistent, but the molasses-infused sugar makes up for it. I could eat a jar of it by itself. There's also a range of sandwiches on offer. A friend recently brought home lamb-shoulder on sourdough that had me drooling. I need to be strong, three visits in one day is just too much.

And if I was going to personify this cafe, that's how it'd go. It's small and charmingly ramshackle and chilled out and social all at the same time, it's basically how I want my living room to be. The coffee is fantastic, as are the views across the new Central Park development, and weirdly the noise of the construction across the road doesn't seem to come inside. The small menu is on the spendier side, but it looked creative & wholesome. Bring a book or a notepad to write deep thoughts in.

They have their roastery in the back, with large windows separating from the cafe. We had visited twice here and each time was a great experience. I had the opportunity to try both their Ethiopian and their Guatemalan long blacks, and the tasting notes do stand out. Sebastian, the robust English chef, serves up traditional and delicious café cuisine for breakfast and lunch on weekdays and a beautiful roast for Sunday lunch. He's funny at best, though I might warn you not to sit too close to the kitchen unless you want to overhear a colorful monologue of cynicism and crude jokes. Some winning items on the menu include the "Big Salad" which changes daily and can include a delicious mixture of pumpkin, cous cous, eggplant, walnuts, raisins, and any other odds and ends the chef decides to add on the day. I recommend ordering it with poached chicken, which is as tender as can be. Another popular item is the BLT, served on Turkish bread. Careful though, it's big enough to feed your entire family of seven. If you can appreciate a good chip (or 2 dozen), Bar Mattino's are hand cut and fried to perfection. Lastly, I would highly and enthusiastically recommend the house made brownie, for which I solely blame the gain of 3 kilos. It's chocoloatey, and melty, and powered sugary and just ALL good.
