No one really expects a great cafe let alone a good cafe in this part of town. It's tucked away in a very local and residential area and very unexpecting. The food coffee and service is kinda like that too. Ive had big brekkie, shamsuka, few odd teas and coffees and cold drinks here and there. Definitely one of the better cafes in sydney. Whilst Butter Chicken was advertised and we paid for , they didn't have any ! We settled for a pulled pork bun and sweet potato chips and an Eggs Benedict, The tables are small and crowed and we are a bit unco so we spilt most of the chips on the floor. We did try a few and they were very nice. The pulled pork was delicious and the eggs Benedict was good. Coffee was OK. The staff were very nice and apologetic and food was served quickly. We were there for lunch today - Sunday. I have been before and had a wonderful meal and experience. Our meals today were just warm. The chips were cold. The tables were not cleaned when people left. One table, where a person had finished his meal and left, still had his dirt\y plate there, after at least half an hour. Birds were eating scraps off the plate. This place is a hidden gem of deliciousness. In a quiet little neighborhood with gorgeous outdoor seating and charm. The prices are reasonable and the food is worth every penny! We had the avocado toast, goaty toaty, salmon eggs, chicken burger and iced mocha. Every bite and sip was fantastic! Best chicken burger ever, seasoned with Indian spices and a killer sauce! The iced mocha came in a tiki glass! Huge poke bowl! Goaty toaty amazing! Everything was fresh and the service was great! This place is decidedly Instagramable - drawing of the neighbourhood on one wall, hanging light bulbs, bunting decal on the drinks fridge door, food on chopping boards and mismatched plates - you even get a milk bottle to decant your bottle of softdrink into! Seriously, a bottle for your bottle!! Thankfully, this place ain't just looks. Great campos coffee, deliciously fat, nay OBESE chips and a great list of tempting choices. We came here for breakfast on a Saturday and the place was very busy. Really well presented, the place is tucked away in the middle of residential houses. We ordered at the counter and staff were friendly. As a side note, they have a bench located in the middle of the walkway leading to the counter which creates a large bottleneck for waiting customers and staff taking food to the tables which was a little annoying. It took a little while for our coffees to arrive but they were good. Food was also really nice, well presented and fresh. The hollandaise was obviously made in the cafe and was awesome, served on an english muffin. Only issue was the poached eggs were over cooked. Very close to a 5 star rating but the chef needs to improve the poached eggs. We'll definitely be back again. read more

This cafe is a little gem pretty much in the middle of nowhere - unless you're in the Parra/Epping belt of Sydney. Luckily it's half way between my house and work, meaning I can take advantage of it as a brunch and lunch spot! They have a simple, tasty and modern Australian menu, with all-day breakfast and lunch. Everything on the lunch menu is good. I highly recommend the squid salad, which comes with beetroot. Need I say more? The steak sandwich and chicken burger are also fantastic. There's a good breakfast range, and my only hesitation with the benedict is the Orange hollandaise which wasn't really my thing. The breakfast pot is tasty and the coffee (Campos) is strong and creamy. They also have great juice specials so ask the staff. Sometimes there's a wait on the weekend, but it's worth it. Came here today for a late lunch. Called up to book and said they're not busy but would put one aside for us anyway - nice touch. Arrived around 1.30 and the lady on the phone was right. Not necessary but with a 5 month old in a pram, thought it would be useful to call ahead. This was a last minute choice for lunch and I was pretty happy as was my lunch companions. One had the big tree burger and they wolfed it down and thoroughly enjoyed it. The amount of chips that came with it was a health conscious amount but still devoured! I had the ricotta pancakes with bacon and that was delicious. I'm keen to come back and try a few more things. They stock papa patisserie cheesecake and cannolis and Brasserie Bread choc caramel tarts. Took a tart to go! Coffee is Campos and was made quick and the Barista did not disappoint as it tasted great too! This is place is great. Specifically the food here is 5 stars and brilliant! If you want an awesome brunch/breakfast, and you are in the are, you won't be disappointed. So this place is famous for their pancakes and french toast, however, personally I am a fan of the egg & beacon sandwich. I know it is not 'special', but it is here. Further, what makes this place awesome is the staff. Super friendly and make it a great experience. Unfortunately, I didn't give this place 5-stars, because the coffee is not as good as the food. The coffee isn't bad, it is just not great. Serving Campus beans it is an average cup of coffee. And if you know me coffee is everything - so I am disappointed, specifically as the food was so good. But if you don't care that much about that coffee, then you will probably think this place is 5-stars. Saying that, I do come here often for food. Absolutely love this place! Atmosphere: great! Friendly staff and amazing service. I always order 2 portions of food/person when I go. They were a little worried at first because we seemed to be ordering too much (usually order 4-5portions between 2) but we successfully finish our meals! The lovely staff even added an extra table for us because we had too many plates. Food: I'd have to say I love it all, ranging from the big treehouse brekkie to my all time fav SMOKED SALMON SALAD!!! The smoked salmon salad is highly, highly recommened. Parking: free on-street parking. They have Campos Coffee Beans and they know how to use them! I am the fussiest of coffee drinkers and this coffee really was the best i've had in a long time. They have Lactose Free Milk as well, which is a massive tick in my book! The food was delivered in a timely manner considering the number of people that where there. It was busy! The food was well presented and tasted good. I ordered the granola, it was a little on the sweet side as it had a berry coulis and honey. It didn't need both. This is the second time we have been to this cafe. First time we went I ordered the Banana Pancakes which were nice but lacked enough Banana and syrup. We gave them a second chance and went for breakfast this morning. My husband had the classic breakfast which was basically bacon and so called poached egg. The bacon came out cold the egg was overcooked, not at all poached and have noticed on other reviews that others have complained about over cooked poached eggs. You would think that they have mastered the art of cooking poached eggs. I had what was called the Shrooms which consisted of mushrooms and again an overcooked poached egg, not one bit of seasoningon the dish nor salt and pepper on any of the tables. The toast that came out on both our plates was over cooked and unappetising. I only had a few mouthfuls of mine and my husband ate his only because we had paid for it. This place must be doing something right as it is always busy but seriously we have not experienced it. I decided I was not going to leave without letting one of the staff members know exactly what we thought of our breakfast. He was very understanding and listened to my complaint. He insisted that we wait whilst he went inside to speak with other staff. Came out with two tarts for us to take away and begged us to come back and told us we would be looked after. Thanks for listenening but seriously take onboard the reviews and improve on what customers gave said. read more

Lovely place, we have been coming here fairly regularly for over a year and the food is always great and the service fast. They also do great coffee using Campos coffee which is a bonus. We normally order the eggs with asparagus and mushrooms as it's delicious, as well as being a light but filling meal. It is in the category of disaster. We went for lunch. Arrived to find the chaos at the counter, you have to pay first. So a small crowd waiting, and the place is quite small. We ordered iced coffee, cap, Rachel sandwich and Egg Benedict. The drinks were served really quickly. The iced coffee was great. Then we waited for 35 min before our food was served. Sigh...the sandwich was ordinary, but the fries were super hot. The egg benedict...the Holladise sauce was not quite there. The lady next to us waited for 40 min for a sad looking dish of daily special pasta. It was quite an anxious lunch coz everyone was eyeing the next plate. Will certainly not be back. read more

For a small cafe in an out of the way location it was reasonably busy, which shows that the quslity of food and service is good. Went here for the fourth time for breakfast,anticipating another tasty meal and was not disappointed !! These people really know what they are doing. So many cafes fall short in one way or another, but The staff here hit all the right notes- which also means that they get very busy.Fast at tentative service, great coffee and juice, good size portions for big appetites like mine, and very tasty- what more could you want! I had the corn fritters with bacon, tomato relish, and poached eggs- best thing I ate all week, and I cook for a living! I can not think of a single negative about this place accept that I wished they had been open a few years ago when I lived a few streets away! Keep up the great work guys! We will be back soon! Update: went there for the corn fritters and they changed to way they cooked them- I suspect that they deep- fried the fritters.They were not good .
