The actual café is just a hole in the wall with a few boxes & logs that serve as stools. Over the past few months it changed name to 'Manly Coffee Guild' and we decided to give it a go. The cafe primarily focuses on coffee and other beverages, however pre-prepared sandwiches/croissants and cakes are also sold there. The service is generally quite efficient and there is a good atmosphere inside with a friendly atmosphere. I particularly like the music they play in-store. Recently it's been a lot of Beatles and Billy Joel and older style tunes. There's some comfy couches and magazines and papers if you want to spend a while there. Coffee is really good and I would recommend for those who don't like their coffee overly milky. It is strong without having a bitter/burnt flavour, and not too watery or creamy. It's probably my favourite place in Manly for a skinny latte. There are also outside seats available, which I would prefer during the warmer months as it's quite hot inside the cafe.

I had seen Bare Naked's beautiful bowls on Instagram and friends' feeds for a while and had been dying to try. Well - they did not disappoint. I came here last Sunday with one of my good friends. It was pretty busy and they had a only a few seats out the front. We managed to snake one end of a four person table and I went to order. My friend got the Naked Bowl and I got the Hippie Bowl. It took as quite a while to decide because the menu is rife with options. There were 8-10 acai bowls, smoothie bowls and more. Plus coffee and kombucha on tap (yassss). The girl at the counter told us it would be about a 15-20 minute wait because of all the take out orders. When the bowls came I was impressed. They were beautiful, full of toppings and a really decent portion for the price. I proceeded to snap a few pics (with the table's strategically placed potted cactus) for my Instagram later. Hipster chic on fleek (is 'on fleek' stlll a thing? Well, whatever...I'm using it ironically anyway...and plus...it rhymes!!). Then we dug in...heaven. I soon found myself knee deep in a blissful acai bowl food coma and my friend and I enjoyed a long conversation with a pleasant British bloke who joined our table later on (he managed to finish his bowl before I did). My tummy was very happy with me for hours later. Bare Naked definitely lives up to the hype and is good value for money, especially when compared with the other acai bowls around these parts. There's a few options that look like they worth trying. 3) A small space but with plenty of seating (and shady, relaxing atmosphere) The coffee isn't the best in Manly, it's also far from the worst. The interior itself is really cute, small but they have heating lamps outside for when it's chilly and still want to dine in. Returing home many times from overseas Fresh is always my destination to 'settle back in' However its location in the busy Manly Beach Plaza is also part reason for its popularity. Its right in front of Skater HQ (formerly Manly Rollerblades) and Australian HQ. And Im intrigued to see that Murrays is a bar opening over it (short time for that spanish restaurant to have been there) very soon I have never seen a location that can turnover as businesses as this one has. This morning Im sharing Pear and Rasberry toasted bread with my 1 year old who is having a babychino and I a Belaroma skim Mocha. The P&R bread is to die for and while my daugther throws around her froth she enjoys playing with all the toys they have avaliable.
