Beach bowl
Sophie F.

This place has without a doubt the best açai in all of Sydney! The bowls are just paced to the rafters with delicious and healthy ingredients, that are organic, and mostly vegan. They are very generous with their toppings, and the overall açai is up to the brim of the bowl, not to mention that the overall aesthetic of the bowls are gorgeous, and are very photogenic. Overall I would highly recommend for a fun and healthy outing that will not break the bank! I'm in love!!!!

Loved it!! Hippie bowl and Rio bowl with extra peanut butter blended it. They were great portions. There was so much fruit and flavor. Very satisfying. Also did a cappuccino that was delicious. I wish we had this in the states!!

Chia love brekky bowl

Had seen their beautiful bowls on instagram and had to try! We came on a Sunday morning and it was crowded so we weren't able to eat in. We got takeaway though and they were still just as gorgeous. I had the chia love bowl, which was so fresh and delicious. It had yoghurt, chia seed pudding, passionfruit, granola, cocoa nibs, strawberries, blueberries and honey. The yoghurt was so creamy and all the toppings added a nice texture. My friend who had the manly bowl was pretty satisfied. The maui bowl was just wowee as quoted by friend. There were plenty of toppings on all the bowls which was great. The smoothie bowls are $15 but they are bigger than brekkie bowls as mine was $10. A great place to grab a healthy breakfast before heading to the beach. Just be prepared for a wait as they get busy.

Island time bowl $15
Michelle W.

This place was so popular even when they closed at 4pm. Their acai bowls were all $15, reasonably sized, and sounded amazing. We got the island time bowl and loved it, the bush honey was a really nice touch. The yogurt isn't sweet at all which was ideal. I thought the acai bowls were the most reasonably priced out of all of their menu, the rest seemed a little overpriced but I'm sure all equally delicious. Probably a really reliable place to come for your afternoon snacks.

Love the range of acai bowls - the wait is a little long but large servings make up for it.

Our tour guide and countless Redditors said to eat at The Pantry when in Manly. That said, it is a…read morepopular spot and with the restaurant being on the smaller end, it's best to make a reservation. We were lucky to secure a booking for 1:00P on the day of. Their menu is considered modern Australian with an Italian flair, which is an interesting fusion of cuisines. They have tapas, entrees (appetizer size), mains (larger portions) and sides, which can be shared amongst the table or paired with a main to make for a more filling meal. + GRILLED TASMANIAN OCTOPUS (A$28): The four of us shared this and it turned out to be a tantalizing appetizer! Three meaty tentacles and one flat piece were served on top of n'duja (spreadable pork sausage) with pipes of lime confit on the side. This was my first time having n'duja, which had a smoky flavor from Calabrian chilis that paired well with the grilled taste of the tender octopus. The lime brightened up the dish with citrusy notes. + SEAWEED PRAWN PILLOWS (A$22): While tasty, if I tasted these blindly, I probably wouldn't think of shrimp and seaweed being the two main ingredients. The shrimp and seaweed were finely minced and made into a batter which was then fried into a fritter. They were crispy and light with a soft mochi-like texture inside. Salt on the plate enhanced the flavor even more. + SNAPPER FILLET (A$44): The snapper was delicate, moist and had a wonderfully seared skin. It came topped with a few zucchini blossoms, but that was the extent of the dish, so I'd recommend ordering a side with this. It was placed on a pool of creamy white sauce (which may have incorporated Jerusalem artichoke as noted on the menu) and dollops of black garlic sauce came on top. Unfortunately, I didn't care for the black garlic which had a very earthy flavor that I found too strong and off-putting for the mild fish. The four of us shared a side of BROCCOLINI (A$14) which was a great pairing with all of our mains. It tasted super fresh since the stems still had a nice snap to them. They were simply tossed with extra virgin olive oil, sliced almonds and chili for a hint of heat. My dad enjoyed their spatchcocked chicken and my sister was happy with her sirloin steak. The steak was cooked more than the medium that she requested, but it was still delicious and had a zesty salsa verde. Overall, we had a lovely lunch here. Our meals were wholesome and I could tell that everything was fresh and of pristine quality. This restaurant is right on the beach, so we enjoyed a direct view of the water, giving this spot a beachy vibe with casual elegance.

It's not fancy or Michelin starred or world renowned, but somehow it manages to find the perfect balance between beach casual and chic, while serving amazing food. We stumbled upon it and popped in for lunch after swearing we weren't hungry for a big lunch. Famous last words, right? We started with the caramel Ed garlic bread and piccolo burrata, both of which were amazing. I wanted to lick the plate but my husband gave me the side eye. Someone at the table next to us had the Prawn Salad, and it looked incredible, so we ordered that to split. The prawn salad is the best salad I have ever eaten, and I eat a lot of salads. There were so many flavors and textures and mouthfeels - the creamy avocado, the crispy salty bacon, the sweet tender shrimp, the light oily vinaigrette, the warm salty halloumi. This is salad GOALS. It was so good that we just went ahead and ordered another entree - the grilled barramundi. It was also delicious, the fish was perfectly cooked, the asparagus was tender but firm, the potatoes were crispy but creamy, and the tang of the goat cheese and sweet roasted tomatoes really made something magic. It was temping to get dessert, but we did stop to check out the breakfast menu on our way out. Also - as a pregnant person, I was so thrilled to see a decent list of mocktails! The Passionfruit Fauxjito was really good and tasted like a true cocktail. This perfect little beach restaurant is so unassuming from the outside, but is worth the stop for the gorgeous views, attentive service, and amazing food!

The coffee here is good, serving Barred One coffee, it is a nice cup. You can order the single origin if you want, which according to the Barista changes every so often. The coffee is probably not as good as Showbox coffee around the corner, but it still can stand on its own. The best part of the cafe is the food. A lot of fresh and healthier options. The most popular dish is the 'Dog' which is chirizo and eggs. However, if you are like me and love mushrooms, then you are going to love this place as they serve a mountain of mushrooms on toast - and they cook the mushrooms in pesto, which makes them awesome. The service here is good - nothing special, yet nothing to complain about. The seating arrangements is the large tables that are shared by all! So if you don't like things like that, then don't come here, but if you don't mind the new hipster style of seating then come along and share your space.

(They also have an 8-hour cold drip should you so desire.) The shop is tiny, but if you're lucky enough to snag a stump you'll be privy to some of the most amusing customer conversations. Hungry? They were whipping up waffles last time I was there. But don't get your tastebuds in too much of a tizzy, it's just waffles, so if that's what you want, consider yourself a winner. If not, well, tough luck. But let's be honest, you're heading here for the coffee because it's undoubtably Manly's best, whether hot or cold. And hey, I'm sure they'll even put the ice cream in there if you ask nicely. Just don't ask for decaf. Or larges.
