Wonderful breakfast spot. The menu had lots of great options. Good service. I had a a quinoa bowl that was delicious.

Food was good, a little unseasoned and bf complained that his portion was too small but mine wasn't. Service was not great. Neat little place close to Grandpa Joes Candy. read more

There are many breakfast places in Chillicothe but none that aren't part of a large chain. The Coop is an eclectic place with decent breakfast fare. My husband had Mel's cheesy eggs and loved them. I had the junior classic with two eggs, potatoes and rye bread. It was all good. This was our second visit to The Coop and we were glad we went. read more

We've been wanting to try The Coop for awhile and we absolutely loved it! The portions are quite large too. Our waitress, JoAnna R, was great too. We were seated within 10 minutes of arrival. Our drinks came quickly followed by our meals. JoAnna checked in with us often and even offered us coffee to go. The Coop has a great atmosphere! We'll be back! read more

Stopped in for a late lunch and were impressed by the options on the menu. We were seated quickly and the service was great. We ordered biscuits and gravy and a grilled bologna sandwich, both were very generous portions. The gravy had good flavor and the sandwich was nice. We would definitely come back again, especially for breakfast. read more

If you want good breakfast food, come here!! Delicious food and great service. Usually pretty busy so give yourself a bit of extra time in case you need to wait. Wait though.... because it's worth it. read more

food was excellent. service was amazing and the ambiance was cozy and comfortable. Definitely recommend

Had great service on a busy Saturday lunch rush provided by Tabby. Place was popping but wait was not very long. Large cafe style layout with bar seating, small tables, & booth. I let my server choose between three options for me & she suggested the patty melt. It had a cheese blanket on it that was thick enough to smother you & was really good. Menu is quite varied with something for everybody. My father in law & mother in law are super picky eaters but both loved the honey roasted pecan salad. Glad to have another quality choice in Chillicothe when I'm here visiting in laws. read more

We were on our way back to Cincinnati from the Hocking Hills and we stopped in Chillicothe for lunch. I looked at YELP to provide me with the information about the best restaurants in Chillicothe, and since the Old Canal Smoke House (we have stopped here several times in the past was closed) we checked YELP to see what other recommendations they had. The COOP came up #1. It is located right downtown and it was packed when we arrived, and it was packed when we left. The food was wonderful and the service was excellent. read more

What a pleasant, comfortable stop for breakfast. Sought out the Coop while taking a road trip with the family. We avoid chain stores and prefer the personal touch and serve of smaller businesses. The Coop was a quaint, historically appealing little dinner with a cozy atmosphere. The menu has all one's normal breakfast favorites with great little additions. The hash was delicious and the French toast satisfied all our sweet tooth's. The wheat toast was cooked just right (not burned) and the pancakes were the right kind of fluffy. The staff was kind, helpful, friendly, and within their element. Only small dings to mention: -Coffee was a little bland -Sausage tasted like a routine generic brand Overall! The Coop is a must for anyone in need of breakfast while passing through. Highly recommend. read more

I would like to go back and try it again and select a different dish. Sometimes you can read a menu description and get a vision of it in your mind and are surprised when it doesn't match. 2 of us tried the bacacado and it was just ok. The third had scrambled eggs and pancakes with bacon and said it was good. Coffee was smooth but there was no real cream available. Service was friendly and non-intrusive as we chatted. Good amount of time passed between placing and receiving our orders. Have heard rave reviews so think it was just an off day. read more

Our 11 year old granddaughter was visiting for the weekend so that we could check out downtown Chillicothe shops and historic sites. We started here for breakfast, and the place was hopping! It gives a diner vibe; the vintage bar adds a nice touch. We joined the waitlist and were seated sooner than the time quoted. The staff were quick to recognize and clean open tables to keep the crowd moving. We ordered the Bacado Benny, Berry Dream, and Biscuits and Gravy with eggs and potato chunks. Everything was delicious! Look forward to returning. read more

Bad service and bad food, waiter was awful. Didn't listen or attend to table at all. Food was incredibly small portions. Buffalo chicken wrap with zero buffalo and zero chicken. Quesadilla had no chicken and no bacon. Would not recommend to anyone read more

What an amazing experience! Stopped in here for coffee and breakfast. Wow, while I indulged in the hometown skillet; the perfect selection from the massive menu. The coffee was amazing, the food fresh and well presented with the perfect amount. What I found more inviting that anything was the atmosphere and service. Cruz, the waiter was amazing and the atmosphere completely what I needed to start my day. Smooth jazz, on point food. Impeccable service! Definitely will be my new home and go to spot. read more

The worst meal I've ever had. Ordered Monte Cristo for $12.49. Itty bitty slice of ham, even littler (could hardly see) piece of turkey & a little bit of cheese. All you could taste was bread. Side order of fruit was not fresh - not a strawberry or blueberry in sight. Drove 2 hrs to take my sister for birthday lunch. Big mistake. Do not go here Oh, and they put cool whip instead of whipped topping & it totally ruined my iced chai latte. read more

We stopped here for brunch on a road trip. It was a weekday so it wasn't crowded. I ordered the Veggie Benny and my wife had the Mel's Scramble. All of the food was delicious. The Veggy Benny had a nice mixture of avocado, grilled onions, mushrooms and spinach. The sauce was not particularly lemony but it was good. Service was quick and polite and they gave us "to go cups" of our beverages to take back on the road. It was a nice place in an interesting little downtown area. Much better than hitting one of the chains on the highway. read more

A busy in town location with on the streets parking. The restaurant is only about a year old, but, it was old building, rustic, with worn brick, metal ceiling tiles and more. Lots of seating without being cluttered and crowded. Cleaning, care and attention was evident. The restaurant was full, but the excellent staff cleared a table for us and we were seated within 10 minutes. Our server was personable, attentive, helpful, and accurate. The food was very good, hot things hot. My omelet tasted fresh, plentiful and hot. My friend also liked his meal except for the bacon being over done. My side pancake presented itself well, it came with butter than was actually immediately spreadable, and powered sugar. Its flavor and the syrup were nothing outstanding. The coffee was good but priced in line with an upscale coffee shop. The menu is extensive for early day food. I'd recommend this restaurant and could return anytime. I'd give this 4.5 stars if I could. Not perfect, but a good meal and visit! read more

I have four go-to places for breakfast in town - and this one, even though it's new, is quickly rising to the top. The Mel's Scrambler and Smavo! are my favorites so far, and grab a cinnamon roll to go! The Mound City Cobb is an outstanding salad and worth it for sure! Quick and attentive service, and the owners always ask how the experience is, which is a big deal to me--love to engagement from the owners. read more

The food was really good. There was a wait but they moved fast. The prices are very high. $4 for a kids chocolate milk seems wild to me.

I got the Mamma Mia burrito, and it was the best breakfast burrito I've had in a long time. Very friendly waitstaff to boot. Highly recommend. read more

Way overpriced for this area. They charge $.99 for a side of ranch that should come with the food. Now the food was good but small portions for the price as well. $13 for some eggs and sausage and you get little portions for the price I probably won't return!! Due to the amount of food that you get and just nickel and dime for a side of ranch for $.99 read more

We stopped in for breakfast on our way to Jackson. Love how Chillicothe has transformed their town. Quaint shops all over and easy to walk the area. The food service was good. It was very busy inside. The girls were multi tasking. The food selection was good. I chose a typical breakfast: eggs, bacon, hash browns and rye toast served with hot coffee. My husband ordered a veggie omelet. The portions were right on target. Loved the atmosphere and would definitely go back. read more

Honest Review for improvement: Atmosphere does not fit with the food presentation. Dish ware seems cheap quality of a Golden Corral, food taste was very poor, and food timeliness could need improvement. Staff was friendly so that earns a star. Order: -Chicken & Waffles, potato chunks -Meal that has English Muffin, egg, bacon, avocado (old), potato chunks (meal needed a steak knife to cut) Breakfast isn't hard, please improve. read more

Food was awesome. Atmosphere was awesome. Our waiter Cruze was awesome. Best place in town.

I was a single older female patron and didn't feel I was treated as well as the families or younger couples. Actually, I was ignored standing there waiting for a table until I spoke up. The place itself seemed clean and lots of tables, but pretty chaotic. I can't say anything about the food because I ended up leaving after I was ignored for so long and then had to ask for seating and she wasn't very welcoming or friendly! read more

Awesome food, service and ambiance! Wish it was open all day! This place is our favorite in Chillicothe!

We had the pleasure of going on their first "soft opening day." Our food was delicious, and all five of us ordered something different. The service was great, everyone that we met was super friendly. The restaurant looks so cute, I love anyplace with old brick. This restaurant just had their official grand opening on July 19,2023. Service may be slower than what you are used to as every single person is still learning but we were so happy with our food and service. read more

interior 7/10 was nice and I liked the old timey aspect but it looked like a glorified Buffalo wild wings service 9/10 they where super nice and got everything down perfectly food 2/10 there coffee tasted like decaf and there pancakes where stale and dry the hollandaise sauce was nothing I ever tasted before and was so disgusting I had almost puked price 2/10 very outrageous for how the food quality was and how it tasted overall 18/40 I would not come here again unless it's my last option and I felt like ihop or bob evens had better food quality and taste this place can improve in many ways I would come back in the future to see how it improved but till then I'm not coming back read more

Can't speak to the food as we never got any. When we arrived the hostess said we are a little behind maybe like 20 minutes is that okay? We said sure and were seated. After being seated our waitress took our drink order and brought them back ASAP. Then she ghosted us for 20 minutes, at that time she said the kitchen is backed up but they are almost caught up. It will be 20-25 additional minutes. WOW. Who has this kind of time for breakfast?
