Unfortunately, I had the free breakfast at my hotel and it was one of the worst I've ever had. So we looked for breakfast at a cafe for the others. Fortunately, we found Paper City Coffee, and especially because reviews said it was dog friendly. We were not expecting much, but boy were we wrong. I sipped the iced blackberry mocha, and I said it was really yummy. Others at my table thought I was joking. Then they took a sip, and they said it was the best flavored coffee drink they've ever had. I told them that's a pretty big statement to make. But I do agree that it was a really good drink. We also had the toasted bagel with the veggie cream cheese. It was so lightly toasted and well flavored. I would definitely order the toasted bagel and iced blackberry mocha again and again. It's pretty addictively good. Even though we sat outside due to having a dog with us, the inside was clean and modern and hip. This is a must place to visit if you are in Chillicothe.

Cute decor I LOVE THIS STINKY TOWN

Large cafe on really cute street made of brick and original wood. The wall art is abstract shapes and arches, so cute! Unfortunately (but understandably) out of spinach feta quiche of the day. Bet it's good! I just got a turkey pesto panini-- the bread had beautiful crisp. Pretty good for a turkey sammy. The cold brew was okay. Loved this place supports a cause Give it a 5 bc I would recommend

I can't give more than one star to a cafe that doesn't have black coffee. My husband and I like long walks, so we chose Paper City Coffee as a destination. We thought we would walk the mile and a half downtown to this coffee shop, have a coffee and relax on the couch for about a half hour, then walk the mile and a half back home. When we got there we were told that they didn't have any black coffee. What kind of coffee shop doesn't have coffee?? Well he said they had espresso, so we settled on cappuccinos. We ordered paid, tipped, and went over to a sofa only to be told they were going to put the Cs in paper cups because they're closing in ten minutes. We were livid. He could have told us that from the start. Instead he made it sound like they didn't have any coffee because there was something wrong with the coffee urn. It wasn't very clear. Turns out they just didn't feel like making an urn of coffee in case they ended up having to throw it out because they'd be closing and didn't have many customers. We ended up with a couple of teeny paper cups of crappy cappuccino with no advanced warning. Never again.

I LOVE this place! Best drinks and even better live music. Food is great too and always friendly service! Would come here every day if I could. Highly recommend.

Neat little coffee shop in the heart of Chillicothe. Not a fan of coffee at all, so I can't recommend it. However the wrap was good. Best part of the place was the decorations and feel of the place. Would recommend you go check it out.

Paper City is such a great coffee shop and cafe in downtown Chillicothe. Not only is the food and coffee top notch, but they also are committed to community building. I always love supporting businesses that show a love for giving back to their communities. I love the cappuccino and appreciate their selection of non-dairy milks, especially the oat milk. I also really like the sweet potato hash (breakfast menu served all day!). The pesto grilled cheese is also phenomenal.

The table service was excellent; our server was a young lady who was incredibly helpful, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. What really stood out was how fast our food arrived--honestly unmatched by any restaurant I've been to before. We both agreed that the next time we're anywhere near the Chillicothe area, this place is a must-stop. The smoked brisket was amazing, and the cornbread completely surprised me--I usually don't even like cornbread, but this was absolutely delicious. The pulled pork and potato studs were equally delicious, and the portions were generous, which made the meal even more satisfying. It was a great meal, and we're very happy we decided to come. If you're in or passing through the Chillicothe area, I highly recommend stopping by Old Canal Smokehouse. You will not be disappointed. Thank you for an excellent meal!

When we arrived they weren't too busy, so that was a plus. We walked right in and got seated. Our waitress was very polite and kind. I ordered the Mad Dog and fries. My wife wanted ribs, but they were out of them for the moment. So she got the Messy Pig sandwich with baked beans and mac. The food arrived rather quickly and the Mad Dog was huge. I studied it for a bit to figure out how I was going to attack it. I decided to hit it at an angle. The first bite was tasty, but when I added the house bbq sauce it took it to the next level. From rookie Lebron to 1st Championship Lebron status! The sandwich is really messy and my bottom bun ended up dissolving with the slaw, but it was still very tasty. I couldn't finish it all in one setting so I ended up making tacos with the leftover meat. The fries were hot, but they were just meh. That is the only thing that is keeping me from scoring this place a 5. I tried my wife's mac and cheese because it didn't look like your standard generic mac and cheese. You could tell that the chef knows what he is doing with this mac. The texture and flavor were phenomenal, I wished I had ordered my own. My wife made sure to tell me that I was hogging it. She enjoyed her beans and mac. We would definitely come back if we are in the area or feel like taking another day trip. Mad Dog Sandwich 1-5=5. Fries 1-5=2. Mac and Cheese 1-5=4.5.

First we walked into this bright happy chill vibe brewery with a large selection of all different varieties on tap. We were on a mission to try chili all over Ohio so Valerie recommended the chili beer cheese fries and Cincinnati chili double cheese burger which were out of those world good! It was their own cool twist on Cincinnati's unique version of chili that we loved. I would have bought a growler of that beer cheese if I could haha.
