This is a quaint place in a quaint little town, and it's just across the street from a beautiful park, and just around the corner from a candy store. There's plenty of parking nearby, and while the area is a little run-down, it's in a good aging-post-industrial-town kind of way with lots of old brick and Second-Empire style architecture. The inside isn't fancy but it's clean and offers good people-watching of the people passing into and out of the park. They had music and a couple of TVs, one showing the news and one on some kind of Spotify rotation. They have all-day breakfast sandwiches which you can get in a croissant and they really butter it up and it's delicious as hell. They also make a solid turkey club, and they don't skimp on the bacon, and they use real mayo. I'm talking about that heavy mayo. That's what holds the freshly shredded lettuce in there. The glue of the sammich. The guy running the place is very friendly and accommodating. I did not ask his name because I knew that I would likely never see him again and I couldn't risk getting attached but he insisted on cleaning the table before we sat down even though it looked totally clean, and he checked in and made sure we were happy with everything, which we were. Don't eat here because it's addictive - you will want to eat their scrumptious food EVERYDAY. I am completely ashamed that I am a local and totally slept on The Lunch Box. We finally took the plunge and ordered takeout- we grabbed a Cuban sub, Reuben panini, muffuletta, and a personal pepperoni pizza. Everything was fresh and delicious. We enjoyed everything we got but man we couldn't stop talking about the muffuletta. We had great service and the two ladies working were super friendly. I had to grab a lemon shakeup while we were waiting - so delicious and they offer flavor shots to add to your shakeup. Don't sleep on this place like we did!! Pizza lacked toppings, was hot and fresh !! Had a weird taste, like sauce was unusual. Bourbon chicken was delicious!! I would order it again , but not the pizza!! Service was great !! Girls were helpful and kind!! Place was clean and tidy !! read more

It's a small little hole-in-the wall place and they have great service, and good food! Prices are reasonable and made in house. Recommended to anyone in the area looking for a quick bite to eat or lunch. read more

If you want good simple sandwiches, fries, a can of drink at a reasonable price then this is the place for you. Simple place but good. Food delivered fast and hot. This is not fine dining it's just simple American food served quickly. Service is usually an order at the counter, sit down and then they bring it out to you. Service was good, but she put gloves on to handle my food, then touched the register, money, and a lot of other stuff, then went back to take my biscuit out of the warmer/toaster. Gross. Biscuit gravy was terrible and the biscuit didn't taste like it was made in house, tasted like frozen out of a bag. No cream for the coffee, which was disappointing, and the coffee wasn't very good. All around disappointing, but the people were very nice and the place was clean, otherwise I would have given 1 star. read more

First, pretzel sandwiches! Need I say more ... OK, so I will. Paninis of all varieties and delicious soups. There's not a lot of seating in a small venue, so make wise choices - it's not their fault they are popular and you might have to wait for a table. Or order and carry out. The soups are delicious! This might be the best variety of sandwich fare we have in our downtown. I had a three cheese panini and the Swiss was the star, paired with the potato soup. Both were great! Clean. Reasonable prices. Overly basic and sometimes, not close to the real thing. An authentic Reuben utilizes corned beef with its signature being: grill toasted Marble Rye (not just any bread or toast), Russian dressing (not Thousand Island), swiss cheesee melted over sauerkraut and subsequently placed on the toasted Marble Rye. Hope mgmt reaches out to the former chef/owner of the Deli that used to be on Paint St as they had a similar menu with authentic preparation. read more
