Food was great, meatball appetizer was tender, meatlovers pizza on point service was quick, wait staff was friendly.

The pizza is amazing especially the 4--Square. The restaurant is clean and in Historic Downtown Chillicothe. A favorite of mine.

Highly recommend, best restaurant in Chillicothe. Love that it is close and fresh homemade pasta and pizza. Definitely will be going back.

Cheese Sticks.......You want this!!! Mozzarella wrapped in pasta & deep-fried......amazing. We also had a 4 square Detroit style pizza & Chicken Marsala. (You want these as well) Our server did an excellent job & happily answered all of our questions. We will definitely be back soon. read more

Recently saw on social media that Lievita in Chillicothe, OH was ranked 25th in the WORLD for their pizza. So the next time we were up there we decided to stop in and give it a try. Despite living 30 minutes away we had yet to give this place a try. Located on Paint Street near Yoktangee Park, parking can be an issue. During the day it's metered - after 5 no charge but still rather limited spots for the number of stores in the area. We found one across the street. We got there about 30 minutes before closing but service was courteous and we were seated and had our food within 20 minutes. We weren't the only late arrivals. Another couple came in behind us. We felt bad about being there after closing but many tables still had people eating when we left. We asked for the pizza they are known for and got a 16" NY style cheese pizza brought to us in minutes. Super hot! Overall, we were underwhelmed with the pizza. Sauce was good and not acidic. Pizza could have used more cheese. It seemed like the sauce to cheese ratio favored sauce. The star was the crust. Nice and crunchy. Edge was cooked nicely but I would have liked it to have give a little longer so the middle had more structure. Next time we'd definitely order it topped. They use cupped pepperoni so my husband was happy. I generally eat cheese pizza but even I said it could benefit from a topping or at least more cheese. I'd give the place 7/10 but we're willing to try other things on the menu to see if the cheese pizza just wasn't for us. read more

Yes, definitely, yes. Pizza from scratch, full of locally sourced, nutrient-rich ingredients. Detroit-style is part of the menu, which is a huge plus. Joe believes in food done right, and he gets it, which means the prices are a little higher, but you're getting what you pay for. DO NOT sleep on the pasta and whatever special they may have - yesterday, I got the Parm-encrusted cod over sweet corn risotto with a side of zucchini, corn, and onions - and it's the best risotto I've had. Service is quick and attentive. The only drawback (for now) is the lack of a liquor license, but here's a PRO TIP: go to Tipplers down the street and get your wine, then return to enjoy your meal and your beverage. read more

It was okay, spices were off for me. Tried a variety of offerings, so it wasn't just one thing (multiple sauces, meatballs, pizzas). Pricey for what it was. Staff was friendly, however there were not enough people working. Service was very slow. Had to go get the waitress for the check. read more

Lievita's was delicious, fast, and friendly! The vibe is so warm and cozy, and everyone is very sweet :)

I ordered a pizza by delivery, it is so greasy I cannot consume it! it did not have any meat on it so that is not a factor. I ordered fresh mozzarella and this certainly isn't! I have tried to reach the restaurant and you get their recording repeatedly. You have to go to a.com to get to the owners. I'm hungry now, not when they check it! the publish claims of it being rated of best pizza in the world, in my opinion, are certainly not my experience living around the country and in Italy! I simply want a refund! I want to order from somewhere else! I'm done with this place I've given them several opportunities. your response is inaccurate! I specifically said grease, not wet! if you want people to order by phone you need to pick up your phone! I want my money not another poor quality Pizza! read more

We had lunch here yesterday. Had Bruschetta as an appetizer. Fresh mozzarella and tomato. Excellent. My wife had chicken alfredo and broccoli. It was good but not great. It was a little plain and dry for my taste. I had the chicken parm, which was great. The chicken was very tender and the sauce was fresh and bold. But the pepperoni pizza was the highlight. It was worth the hour drive. Dough was thin and crispy with the pepperoni curled up with little pockets of grease. This has to be one the the best pizzas we have had for years. Leftover pizza that was excellent the next day! We will absolutely be back. read more

Reasonable prices and good food. The ambiance was delightful and service was great. It was downtown Chillicothe so I was happy I was packing. We watched two pigeons fight to the death for a piece of bread. We ate the winner read more

My wife and I decided to check out Lievita in Chillicothe for our rare date night. We arrived around 5:30 and had a 20 minute wait, no big deal. Wife ordered the Spaghetti and Meatballs and I got a medium (12 inch) hand tossed pizza with Ezzo pepperoni (crispy). The food was fantastic! Pizza was top notch. House bread was also really good. We will definitely be back! read more

Great food, great staff. Great location, this place is awesome. Loved the pasta, tasted so fresh.

Have been planning to visit for months and well worth the wait. Split massive house salad (generous with shaved top-end deli meats) and signature NY cheese pizza with Mr. Simple, delicious and filling. Looking forward to trying other items on the menu. Make an early reservation on the last Saturday of the month and visit all the shops in vibrant downtown Chillicothe after. read more

The Detroit style pizza was just outstanding! The service was very good and priced fairly. Highly recommend it!!

Shout out to the amazing Lievita staff for an amazing dinning experience and delicious food! We made a reservation close to closing due to CHS's late graduation. Graduation ran way over what we thought and they accommodate us still! They were super friendly the food was amazing as always and they went above and beyond! This restaurant was already fast to becoming our go to and they are definitely in the top spot now! read more

So me and my husband for the last 15 years, having coming to visit my in-laws and his family in Wellston, Ohio and we were always come around Christmas and we never went back home to San Diego,California without going to Chillicothe. We would always go to Ivy's and pick out our Christmas ornaments to take back with us. Well, 2024. We were your visiting to see the lighting of the Christmas tree and it was so magical it was snowing carolers singing, and we were hungry, and this girl loves her pasta, so my mother-in-law said there's a really adorable Italian restaurant. Let's go see if we can get a table, so we walked from Ivy's down to this adorable Italian Restaurant and before I even walked in, I knew I wanted to eat there. My husband opened the door and we were greeted with such a smile and hospitality. The seating area was packed. Little kids were playing. The joy of Christmas was in the air and we love Christmas That's why we would always come to Ohio around Christmas time. We have never experienced Christmas like we do in Ohio. We are a family that goes above and beyond during Christmas we even do Christmas in July lol, it's like being in a Christmas hallmark movie when we're here in Ohio we never have experienced living in 4 seasons. We have always grew up with sunshine and flip-flops lol, wearing rain-boots and scarfs and beanies were more of a fashion statement lol. My husband and myself always said once our four kiddos were grown and married and out of the house we would move to Wellston, Ohio, So that we did, September 2026, and that year was the heaviest snow Wellston has seen in years. My husband took me on a date ‍‍and of course we had lunch at your adorable restaurant. You guys had just opened for lunch and we walked in and got seated. There was only 1 other couple in the restaurant and this sweet young girl and the cook welcomed us as if we ‍‍were regulars lol we had the most wonderful ambience and company. We sat at the booth next to the bar and had the most wonderful lunch date‍‍ We shared with them how we had just moved her from California and we were so excited to hear all about Ohio. Not one time while we were there did anyone else come in to eat, It was like it was created for just us to be there as if my husband reserved the whole restaurant just for me lol we believe God has his perfect timing, and right when we were getting ready to leave is when people started coming in to eat lunch, that young girl and guy working there made us feel like home So, that adorable restaurant will always hold a special place in our hearts We will always have dinner as long as we can get a table the evening of the lighting of the Christmas tree, we can't wait to bring our kids and grandchildren and our families and friends. It will be our signature place. So fast forward, my aunt is doing a women's conference in Chillicothe this evening 6/5/26 and it's rare when we can get a group of us ladies together and fellowship and have dinner, so I made reservations for 11 of some very special ladies, that God has brought into my life since I've been living here, and all of these ladies besides me and my mother-in-law have never been to your restaurant. So I am so excited to bring them to our signature spot. With that being said, I will always have a vision and hear those cute little kids playing in the seating area the 1st night we walked in to eat there. It's the little things that matter that make it so very special and the little kiddos definitely make the ambience of Christmas when we were waiting to be seated that night and the little kiddo's were so excited to see Santa and we're singing Christmas carols as we were all waiting to get seated, I never have cared how long I would wait for a table because the ambience was so amazing as busy and packed as the restaurant was, our waitress made us feel as if we were the only ones in the restaurant, My husband and myself ‍‍ are so excited to continue to make memories there and to top it off. The food is absolutely amazing and my husband is a pizza critic, and this girl knows her Italian food So with all that being said, I want to say thank you for the joy that we get walking in your door I am so excited to get ready for my girls night and eat dinner at our favorite restaurant. Love and Blessings, Jeremy and Julie Rider read more

The food should be improved by hiring a qualified cook. My service didn't need improvement. She was great and embarrassed by the circumstances. The restaurant needs a deep clean. read more

The food was good, 7.1 on the pizza! Didn't try to famous cheese though ( yet) The service wasn't good at all, I made a point to tell her it was our first time so she would tell us about the famous cheese, suggest items or explain items so we ordered what sounded good. The refills only happened once ( no ice included in warm sweet tea) I had Cajun pasta so I needed that cool iced tea) when I asked for to go boxes ( we ordered a large pizza for two) she didn't bring a pizza box she brought regular to go boxes when we had over half a pizza left. So the service isn't good nor worthy of inside dining for my preference considering the bill was 85 , so I will order to go possibly. Just giving honest feedback. The Ranch is AMAZING!!! read more

Brought my wife & in laws here for Sunday dinner with no expectation since it's relatively new & lacked extensive reviews on here. My in laws are notoriously picky eaters so anytime we can find a local spot they like it's a big win & allows them some variation outside of the chain restaurants like Frisch's, Cracker Barrel, Bob Evans, etc. First impressions were that is was very quiet at 6:45. Only two tables occupied between the two dining areas. Our party of 4 had no wait & our server Gabby had our drink orders & appetizer selection down in under 5 mins from us walking in. We asked about the menu favorites but since she was new (technically her 3rd day) she gladly shared what limited preferences she had with us. My in laws went with the spaghetti & meatballs & tortellini ala vodka. Both came with choice of soup or salad. The side salads were quite big & the choices were Caesar, spinach, or mixed greens. I chose the Marsala & roasted pepper soup. My wife chose the spinach & berry salad. Cheese sticks were honestly epic. Closest thing I can compare them to are Venezuelan Tequenos. Very different style of cheese stick & very good & full of cheese, no empty space. My Marsala chicken was very good as well & perfectly portioned for the price. There is no reason to dine at any other Italian in the area especially Olive Garden when you can now come here & support a local business downtown with good food at the same price. Shout out to Gabby who was very patient & accommodating with my in laws! read more

Wonderful food! Amazing service!!!! One of my family's favorites!!! They have a big variety with something for everyone!

Service extremely slow. Were told if ordering pizza would be 30 to 40 minutes because pizza ovens backed up. Was 1 hour 10 minutes to get our pizza. Lots of carry out orders and we saw several people leave without their orders because got tired of waiting. They started turning people away at the door because they were so behind. Garlic bread with cheese was very good. Pizza was just ok. Pepperoni greasy, pizza burnt on the bottom and pizza not even hot when we got it. It is a nice little family friendly restaurant but will not be back read more

I wanted to give an update on the review I gave this past Thursday. To my surprise, on Friday morning I received a call from one of the owners . She was concerned and sincerely apologetic about the pizza I had received . She actually thanked me for leaving the review and said they used the feedback as a training tool to correct their miscues. Long story short she had it setup for me to show up on Saturday evening at an agreed time and a pizza would be waiting on me when I walked in the door. True to her word, the pizza was waiting on me when I arrived and it was great as she promised it would be . I will definitely be going back . Thanks for caring Shari ! read more

Finally! A locally owned Italian restaurant! Love Italian food but hate the Chillicothe chain restaurants? Lievita is here to rescue us! A large menu, with all your Italian favorites, a full bar, and excellent customer service make a wonderful dining experience. There is plenty of on street parking. I popped in, not knowing what the restaurant offered. I was pleasantly surprised to see a full Italian menu. I was promptly seated, and greeted (which is rare these days). Every plate of food from the kitchen that went past me had me on the edge of my seat awaiting my lasagna. When I received my food, I was not disappointed. The lasagna is a cheesy, meaty paradise, served piping hot. I will definitely be back. Check it out! read more

We went here today for dinner with our toddler and had a wonderful experience! This was our third or fourth time here and it was terrific, as usual. The staff are so nice, accommodating, and quick. They are always so good with our toddler too! Everything tastes like it is made fresh and from scratch, even down to their salad dressing! The portions are also generous. I don't think I've ever finished my dish in one sitting! There's never been a wait when we've gone and the food always comes out pretty quickly. Great local restaurant - I am so glad we have them in downtown Chillicothe! read more

Food: was outstanding and tasty. Cooked the way we like pizza, Crispy! Service: Samantha was very sweet and attentive. Helpful with describing the crusts of the different pizzas as well as toppings Ambiance: great music playing 80's blend, lighting not bright (which is good for me). Looked like a well stocked bar for those wanting a drink. We ate lunch so no alcohol for us. Located in Downtown Chillicothe with great shops located all around. We will defiantly be back to try some pasta next time. Our pizza (medium size) $19.98 2 ice tea $6.98. This price was a little high for tea, I think‍ Over all a great experience.
