    Pimento Cheese Dip
    Rachel W.

We decided to hop in after seeing the great reviews but left wondering where the breakdown in expecting landed. Cute space but eerily quiet. There was no music and every step on the wood floor echoed throughout. Service was friendly and quick but that's where it sadly end on the positive notes. There is 1 bathroom but you have to walk through the service area to get to it. Prices are great but you get what you pay for. My parents and husband ordered iced tea and that is a mystery menu item in itself!! The waitress said it was a special blend...... we noted nutmeg, ginger, maybe cardamom??? Not good. For food we started with the Pimento Cheese Dip which arrived with stale chips so we passed on that. For meals 3 of us opted for the pulled pork which was incredibly dry and bland so we all soaked it in ample BBQ sauce. That was a lot to chew on for sure! My husband got the chicken and noodles. He said it was a bit watery, bland, and sadly there wasn't much chicken to be found. The green beans he said tasted like they were dumped out of the can and sprinkled with ham bits. Overall it was a lackluster experience in a lackluster environment

The food is really good. Loved everything. The bread pudding is exceptional and the special blend coffee amazing!

Fantastic, cozy little restaurant. Great brisket, sides, and cheesecake. Try this place out!

Rachel A waited on us and took time to find out what was gluten free for me. She was efficient, friendly, and got everything right! We got the homemade chips appetizer. One of the best things I've tried. Hubs got a burger and mac & cheese that he said was wonderful. I got the pulled pork with slaw and corn pudding. Everything was so good. We drive this route often and need to make this a regular stop.

He got the Brisket and quarter chicken $26 with skillet green beans and smoke house spuds with $2.50 up charge for cheese and bacon. Overall everything was good. The pork ribeyes were cooked perfectly but the sweet bourbon glazed wasn't much more than a teriyaki sauce and very salty. They were out of the quarter chicken so they substituted it with 2 wings which I didn't think was an even trade. The smoke house spuds were good but the bacon was chewy. The ambience was nice, the waiter was very friendly and attentive. Even though for the most part the food was good I don't think it justified the prices.

Amazing rolls, friendly service, and great value in a fun (somewhat loud) family friendly environment. My only complaint is that I ordered my steak rare and it was more of a medium rare. It was well seasoned though and delicious.

Service was great and no problems there. The pork chop was well seasoned and tasted good. I ordered my steak Medium, no I understand that when you order medium sometimes you get medium well or medium rare depending on the cook but some form of medium is expected. A sirloin is the premium steak so I get that it's going to be in the lower end of quality. When my steak arrived it was pretty dry looking but my waiter (who did a fine job generally) was not around to say anything. Regardless I figured this steak was going to be the medium well side of things. In fact this steak was Well Well Done. Luckily I'm the kind who can go ahead and eat a steak this way though not my preference. It was dried out and very tough as expected. Finally after a bit my waiter came by and asked how everything was, to his credit he offered to have another cooked for me but I had already eaten half of it and I wasn't telling him for the new steak or refund or anything like that. I was more so letting him know that either the grill was running too hot or maybe they gave me the wrong steak and be on the lookout for someone saying they had an undercooked one (mine?) Overall not the best eating experience and if I was someone who refused to eat well done it would have been unfortunate to have to send it back. A little over cooked I get, but this well done was a total miss. Also when did A1 start coming in a serving cup and not just a bottle at the table? I definitely needed it as this steak was too dry. Atmosphere was a nice country vibe as always and hit the mark for the feel.

My girlfriend opted for the two meat combo. I had the brisket, pulled pork and jalapeño cheddar kielbasa along with green beans and coleslaw. My girlfriend selected the chicken breast and pulled pork with mac and cheese and baked beans. The meats lacked seasoning and were quite dry. The jalapeño cheddar kielbasa was missing something...oh yeah the taste of jalapeño! You can see by the photo that the quantity was on the smaller side too. The drinks are $3.99 each in the yellow cups. So two combos and two drinks brought us to just over $50 before tip. We asked for sweetener for the unsweet tea and were told to see the bartender for that. Wait, I just tipped at the register which is right next to the tea, but now I have to go see the bartender to get sweetener? We ordered our food, went and sat down and ate. We never saw anyone come by to see if we needed anything. Still trying to figure out what the tip was for? Honestly, the best part of the establishment was hearing The Blind Guitarist sing! We drove down from South Bloomfield to eat here. Bad decision on our part.
