Texas Roadhouse is consistently good, no matter which location you go to. Chillicothe's was no different. Amazing rolls, friendly service, and great value in a fun (somewhat loud) family friendly environment. My only complaint is that I ordered my steak rare and it was more of a medium rare. It was well seasoned though and delicious. read more

Texas Roadhouse - Ft. Worth Ribeye* House Salad - Barbeque Near Me - Chillicothe, Ohio

I went in for the early dine experience as they have some pretty solid deals for that time. I ordered the 6oz sirloin and my wife ordered the pork chop. Service was great and no problems there. The pork chop was well seasoned and tasted good. I ordered my steak Medium, no I understand that when you order medium sometimes you get medium well or medium rare depending on the cook but some form of medium is expected. A sirloin is the premium steak so I get that it's going to be in the lower end of quality. When my steak arrived it was pretty dry looking but my waiter (who did a fine job generally) was not around to say anything. Regardless I figured this steak was going to be the medium well side of things. In fact this steak was Well Well Done. Luckily I'm the kind who can go ahead and eat a steak this way though not my preference. It was dried out and very tough as expected. Finally after a bit my waiter came by and asked how everything was, to his credit he offered to have another cooked for me but I had already eaten half of it and I wasn't telling him for the new steak or refund or anything like that. I was more so letting him know that either the grill was running too hot or maybe they gave me the wrong steak and be on the lookout for someone saying they had an undercooked one (mine?) Overall not the best eating experience and if I was someone who refused to eat well done it would have been unfortunate to have to send it back. A little over cooked I get, but this well done was a total miss. Also when did A1 start coming in a serving cup and not just a bottle at the table? I definitely needed it as this steak was too dry. Atmosphere was a nice country vibe as always and hit the mark for the feel. read more

Normally Texas Roadhouse is pretty good. However, this time I thought the ribeye steak was very thin and over cooked.

Remarkable lunch menu for $12.95. The 6 oz sirloin was juicy and tender. A nice side salad with fresh croutons served on a chilled plate. The baked sweet potato was large and topped with cinnamon butter and brown sugar. The hot rolls are wonderful. Our waitress Sarah was extremely efficient and very friendly. I highly recommend this location. I rate it a 10. read more

Texas road house, you used to be so great! But I'll tell you it's going down hill FAST!!!! First I'll say the rolls are amazing! That might be the only thing keeping you afloat at this point. The potato skins were okay as well, so no real complaints there! My issues come with the fact that I wanted a bacon cheeseburger! Allegedly there was no bacon strips and when I asked if they could just put the bacon crumbles on it the manager said NO! Then the old lady got the 8oz steak! And there was no way in gods green earth that steak was 8 ounces. And she also said she wanted it well done( I know, but that's how she likes it) and the steak was definitely still pink. I like my steak med rare so it would have been fine for me not her though. I will also say they served me one of the best diet cokes I've ever drank. So props for that. All in all Texas road house, you're not horrible. But for $55 dollars I expect a little more effort and give a damn. This could very well be that last time we go to you. If I wanted overpriced shitty food id just go to HOT HEADS. Change ALOT! read more

Very slow service from the kitchen; steaks not cooked as expected; frequently out of menu items and fountain drinks.

We were seated right away. Our waiter was a young man named Dwayne. He was so kind to our party, kept checking on us, really a great server. Food was excellent. Smothered Chicken and Steaks with great sides. Nice Place. read more

Horrible food. Was out of most food on the menu. The service was adequate however the constant having to change the order due to being out of items was aggravating. Also steak was wayyy too over cooked. read more

The food was good, our server (sara) was at the top of her game, we did not Waite, want or need to look for her she knew her job and did it. She did not hover and keep interrupting our meal or table talk. IT WAS a bit loud, so someone with hearing problems may find it uncomfortable, line dancing staff is a bit much. The food good and priced right, service top self, LOUD LOUD LOUD, not a true Texas steak house more a sports bar theme. Worth the time, but not a weekly go too. read more

we had a table of six and a few people ordered drinks at our table and a manager named Kayla stood at the station behind staring us down the entire time because there were minors at the table, no minor was drink, simply just because they were at the table. and when we confronted her on why she was very rude and verbally aggressive. if i could give a half star for just the service i would. fortunately the food was fairly good even tho my appetite was ruined. they refunded one meal due to her not eating it because her appetite was ruined but another manger named Timmy very rudely came over to "confirm the food was waisted" read more

First, a shout out to our waiter Jimmy! He was a rockstar! Engaging, informative, approachable and made certain we were comfortable and satisfied. Management- fix his name tag, he needs a capital J for all that Service with Heart! We are frequent visitors. Usually a long wait for seating, but not an issue with call ahead wait list. Beers are cold, the food is great! And the environment is fun. It's the classic Texas Roadhouse experience! read more

Steak was overcooked however the shrimp was perfectly grilled. Wait time went from 25 minutes to an hour. Our waitress, Lakota, did an awesome job considering it was a madhouse. We waited for the "new" to wear off before visiting...it'll be a while before we visit again. read more

The Chillicothe Texas Roadhouse is THE place to be any day of the week. It was 6pm on a Thursday & the parking lot was loaded. I thought surely there'd be a wait. Nope. Party of two through the door, seated within mere minutes, waitress at tableside before we even got through a look at the menu. Can't go wrong with any of the perfectly seasoned & prepared, as you like it, steaks. The salad is fresh and wonderfully composed. The French dressing a delicious Catalina type. Perfect baked potato or rice served piping hot. Can't seem to get there more than a few times a year and never miss an opportunity to do so. read more

Service was great. The food was horrible. In fact, the last 3 times the food has been mediocre at best. It took us almost an hour to get a sandwich to go, after we ate our dinner there. My chicken was almost charcoal. My husband's ribs had so much fat on it, it was nauseating. We did send them back. Second rack of ribs were better. French fries were way over cooked. They must have new kitchen staff that couldn't care less. I've never had any complaints about their food until the last 3-4 months. No plans on returning to the Chillicothe location for a looong time. read more

Excellent food prices and service the filet was so tender and it was seasoned so perfect the green beans are the best and the mashed potatoes are always good can't forget those rolls read more

What an egregious waste of time and money. My husband and I both ordered our steaks medium rare. My husband's Porterhouse was dry and way way way overcooked. My bone in Ribeye was still mooing...blue rare. The mashed potatoes were disgusting and the salads were sad. Y'all gotta step up your game and hire some people who know how to properly prepare steaks....oh the ribs...gross...dry as the Sahara. A big huge waste of $75! Never again!! read more

Food under table...a huge chunk of steak, I stepped on it, lol. Bread plates dirty, then server tried to get a new one and 5 more were dirty. Gave us wrong beer, but said it was what we ordered "draft version tasted different", lol. Next, my well done hamburger was rare. Not sending it back at this point. . All this while manager was roaming around (not my table at all) had no mask, and 1/3 of staff (on floor) had masks under neck or over mouth only. Lots of, it's been tough these last 3 weeks. read more

Visited on a slower Thursday evening. Was seated within the given wait time (10-15mins). Party of 4, two of us were seated , I felt our server was rushing us through the meal. I ordered bbq chicken sandwich. Barely any bbq on it, and a pile of fries not worthy of a kids meal , and looked to be hours old. The food wasn't fresh. My husband got bbq chicken and sirloin. Sirloin was dry , and over cooked and chicken was dry and little bbq. Server was ok , but she's rushed us. I don't think I'll return this is probably my third try , and it isn't worth the money!!! Go to Old Canal Steakhouse instead!! read more

Sometimes 3 somerimes 4 star so really 3.5, service can be spot on then hit or miss, as can the quality of the steak, I had a sirloin that was so good I thought it was a filet, then had a sirloin i thought they found dead and rotting on the side of the banks of paint creek, but either way I will be back as i love meat! Also I like this place a little better than Longhorns read more

Food is great service is good but wait times have become inconsistent and excessive. The last two times I have been here the wait has been quoted at over an hour. We used the call ahead waitlist and when our time came to enter the restaurant we had to wait about another hour (2hr total wait). Once we were called inside it was about another 10 minutes to be seated and several more minutes before we saw a waiter/waitress. Unfortunately this has recently been a great restaurant , but our wait time being over and hour more than it was quoted is very excessive. This has been a consistent issue over the last several visits receiving excessively incorrect wait times and cold food. I hope to see this place improve again. read more

Texas Roadhouse is super good, I always have good experiences here! The rolls and butter are so good l

Very slow in cooking the food, carrots were crunchy raw. The couldn't get a neighboring tables steak cooked properly. On top of that I was overcharged by 50% . I knew the waiter was acting squirrelly. Now I know why. I didn't not want to totally ruin my meal nor disturb the other diners meals around me so I went ahead and paid for it with cash as no way would I allow Tim- Timmy the waiter to have my credit card. As I was leaving I spoke with the manager concerning the intentional rip off. She said even though the receipt showed it was paid for in cash and I was diffently over charged she would not give me the overcharge back in cash. She offered a card that I could use on my next visit. No, no I know you have the cash on hand, my cash at least and I have no plans on returning. If you can't do the right thing the first time and I gave you the opportunity to get it right why would I want to put myself out there for you to stew me over again? Nope, your waiter is a thrift and Texas Roadhouse backed him up. Never again. Maybe this waiter and the wait staff have a scam going on! Run fast from this place and don't let your family or friends set foot in this place. read more

Food was great, server was awesome, meal came somewhat quickly but please Texas Roadhouse, consider your deaf and hard of hearing guests who wear hearing aids when turning on the dining room music. Our server was great in trying to get it lowered for us because neither my husband (who does wear hearing aids) nor I could hear each other across the table from each other, but ultimately the volume never went any lower. Said it was "set by corporate". I don't blame the server at all in this but I think the company would find it beneficial to consider their guests who have special hearing situations by allowing the management to adjust the volume in the individual restaurant. We will consider other places that have a lower music volume. Like I said, food was good and the server was great, but don't expect to be able to have a conversation while eating your meal with that music blasting away. read more

I've been more satisfied on previous visits but next time will probably try Longhorn or something else. My steak was cooked perfectly fine however my wife's steak was pretty bad looking and she said tasted like a hamburger steak. Furthermore it took about 40 to 50 minutes for our steaks to come out after ordering. For some reason I received my sides right away so I ate them thinking the rest of our food was coming right out but it wasn't. The servers knew that a mistake was made and they didn't offer to discount anything or offer us anything at all. I ordered two margaritas which was a mistake because it cost me about 20 bucks and they are cheaper anywhere else, so definitely wasn't expecting that. read more

Always friendly and efficient. We go there when home and we travel a lot also. No matter how busy, just go eat at the Bar. Always works.

What a nightmare, we were there around 12:20 waited 40mins to get seated took waitress 15mins to even come to our table and take our drink order, then almost another 15 for her to come back with the drinks and take our order, then we even had to ask for rolls and when they came they were not even done. When our food came my steak which I ordered well done no pink came rare she took it back which I didn't mind but came back again same way and this time the manager brought it out and she got nasty when I told her I need this well done she said we can put back on the grill-but how many times can you throw the same steak on the grill and come out proper, the green beans looked like they smashed them up for an infant. Then when we paid our bill of 71.24 we used gift cards and the waitress never even came back with our receipt or our card with balance, when we went up to ask for it she went to lunch, never again will we ever go to that location or refer anyone to go there, stick to the one in Ashland, Ky it is awesome... read more

I get we are in a pandemic right now and businesses are short staffed. However, when you tell the customers it's going to be a 10-20 minute wait, then it should NOT be a 50 minute wait. Tell them the truth. The explanation I got from the hostess was that it's the computers fault for sending out the wrong times. If that is the case, then tell the customers the times are not correct when placing their name on the list. Simple as that. We would have not waited that long if we would have known the correct time. read more

We have had 1 dine-in experience and several takeout orders at this Texas Roadhouse. The dine-in experience was pretty good -- it was busy and fairly noisy, as usual. The steak was good and the service was friendly. Then COVID hit and when they restarted takeout service we ordered a few times. The first few times were okay, but the last time the order was 25+ minutes late. Not sure what was going on, there were a lot of customers standing around waiting for their orders. They seem to have trouble handling the volume. We won't be going back anytime soon. read more

Do not go here. I ordered to go food today 12/8/2023 and waited over an hour. I was told it would be 20 minutes. I understand it was busy and only had one person working to go orders however what I did NOT understand is there was several orders that were ready when they said they were not and those orders sat there the whole hour I waited. They did not even offer to fix the situation or even care. I was still waiting over an hour when I went inside to tell them to just cancel it because I had no more time to wait AND I was not taking cold food me and other customers could obviously see was just sitting on the to go rack. I called to tell them to cancel it and nothing was done about it except the host saying okay I will tell them to cancel it! Ridiculous! Definitely will not order here again! This happened to me the last time I ordered to go lunch as well! Figured I would give it another try a few months later but this will be the LAST time! If there was a zero star I would use it! read more
