Honestly for the price and quality, you can't beat Ranchers! I've had numerous items from the menu my favorites being the ultimate BLT, Club Deluxe, and Loaded Curly Fries, all being excellent. My best friend treated me to lunch today and got a couple of "Cuban" sandwiches. 1. Being of Cuban decent, I figured the attempt was worth the taste. These were not even close to how we make it. 2. They were inedible. It tasted like a bottle of Lawry's was dumped on them. After the first bite, i was done. Thankfully sipped the "strawberry" shake eased the pain of the oral riot of salt and seasonings. I use quotes as it really didn't taste like strawberry, just a berry cold drink. Normally I'd give this place a 5 star up until today . I went thru the drive thru and ordered the special 2 BBQ Beef and fries with a lemonade. When I pulled up and paid when he was at the window with my food dude ask me if I needed any sauses and I ask for some ketchup for my fries abd dude with blonde hair more or less threw my bag at me and said have a nice day . As I pulled over at work to get my food out there was no ketchup and it definitely was not BBQ it was a Roast Beef sandwich. I have never had this happen before till today when I was there about 4pm . Normally it's top notch the ppl are awesome till today. read more

I know this place has a lot of great reviews but I just can't. We stopped by in May and I've been meaning to try it at least one more time before I wrote a review but I just don't think it's worth the drive or the money. I took my kids here because we had a coupon and were in the area. It's an older building which is fine but the tables were dirty and the interior needs attention. So we go to order and the young lady at the register might have been fairly new. She didn't seem to want to be there, didn't want to answer questions, acted like we bothering her by even being there. We order the beef and cheddar, a reuben, a spicy chicken, and a ham and Swiss. We get two in the combo special advertised on the counter that came with fries and a drink. We also got cookies. The price didn't add up, I'm from New York and I always add the price in my head when I order so I know I'm paying the correct amount, just an old habit. I tell the cashier and she doesn't care and just says she doesn't know. It wasn't worth arguing over a couple dollars when people are waiting in line so I move on. We get most of our food and find a semi clean table. I tell them about the missing food and again they don't want to be bothered, they'd rather talk to each other and complain about other employees than help paying customers. At this point I just want to hurry up and eat so we can leave. We finally get the rest of our food and start eating. The roast beef was flavorless and tough plus the "cheddar" was a just a glob of something that resembled nacho cheese. The chicken was like a frozen piece that had maybe been overcooked but they added some hot sauce on top to give it some flavor. Needless to say it was terrible. The ham and swiss was tolerable. The reuben was, well what I was thinking ordering a reuben here? It was a soggy mess and again the meat was not good. The fries were thick cut and no one was crazy about them. Worst part is that the portions were so small that my kids were still hungry and we did not even order kids meals. So I had to go back to the counter of whiny teenage girls to order more food. I mentioned again that my bill was wrong, this time there weren't people waiting in line behind me. Plus I regret overpaying for terrible food. She gets an attitude then gets another lady, an adult, and the adult figures out what happened. They fix it and give me my couple dollars of credit so I order an Italian sub. I chose this because it didn't have any roast beef or chicken. The tomato and onions were old but the meat was fine. No banana peppers and hardly any dressing. So we pull the veggies off and I split the sandwich between the kids. We took the cookies to go but they were actually really good! I think the prices are too high for what you get unless you use coupons. The service makes you never want to go there again and the food was terrible. I love supporting small local businesses but I just can't get behind this one. read more

Staff was a little on the calmer side, the place seemed very clean. Set up was organized. I got a Roast Beef and Cheddar sandwich on onion bread with onions, loaded fries and their banana pudding cup. All of it was amazing. SUPER fast thru busy drivethru at lunch! I was in line three minutes, asked a bunch of questions, ordered food, received food, paid and gone with two cars ahead of me. Possibly fastest drive thru experience ever. NO JOKING Got to eat here today and was very happy. They have a unique battered fry that was tasty. Eat them while they are hot. Very good! I asked what was the most quantity of roast beef they have on a bun and it was called the "Beast" 8 Oz of their roast beef on a bun. Great deal and I found out about this by accident. For some reason it is not on their drivethru menu (not sure why). Sorry to repeat many other reviews but this is a local Arby's like sandwich but higher quality and more reasonably priced. I ate two sandwiches (I was hungry! Don't look at me that way!) I also ordered a Philly Roast Beef and Swiss that had grilled peppers and onions in it (Heaven!). The Beast has the bun toasted, not sure on the roast beef and Swiss but they were both realy great sandwiches. I will definitely come back here when I can. Not sure if it is worth a 25 minute drive off of I-71 (I would) but absolutely worth it if you are in the Washington Court House area. I can not speak to the interior due to covid their dining room was closed but the food.... Awesome and very value priced. BTW the little packages of horseradish sauce were great too. Rancher's has been here waaaayyyy before Arby's or Rax were even thought of..since (1979ish I believe?) when I was young and stopped over after elementary school to grab a $1 roast beef from lunch Money I stashed..lol..consistent, Great quality food here. I was introduced to this by my girlfriend (from the area) and was told it was like Arby's. My thought was, "why don't we just go to Arby's?" I tag along anyway awaiting my disappointment with average roast beef and not-Arby's-sauce. I couldn't have been more wrong. This is way better than the other place. I loved their roast beef deluxe sandwich and their sauce was fantastic. Service here is much better than most fast food joints and I've been back a few more times since then. read more

This is probably the most disgusting food I've ever tried to eat in my life. I ordered a junior roast beef and cheddar, the roast beef was really mushy and have absolutely no flavor. The cheese sauce was just a goopy mess and again had no flavor. The bun was OK I guess LOL. I also ordered a spicy chicken sandwich which is just a bad frozen chicken breast sandwich that they pour Frank's red hot sauce sauce on top with onion. Again the bun was OK, the onions were almost flavorless. This place has absolutely nothing prepared in house, the thing that is not frozen other than their roast beef and ham so far as I know. This place was recommended to me and has four stars? I don't think so. Just don't go here you, will be glad you avoided it. read more

The food is good, a little overpriced. Drive thru service is pretty slow most of the time so if you're in a hurry go elsewhere.

Has a real throwback feel to it, the cinnamon rolls are to die for! My only complaint is it's not in my home town.
