After buying a pos on Amazon from the PROC.... putting the whole thing together and finding pieces did not fit or were broken. I acquiesced and went to the Container store. You pay more...but as the old saying goes " you get what you pay for"! And yes it is more expensive but the quality at the Container store is pretty great ( and really easy to put together). I am thoroughly happy with my Elfa rack for my home office. Service was outstanding! It was pouring down outside and the employees had me pull up to the front and put all the items in my cars trunk. This review is for the Cherry Creek location. I debated between four and five stars, because the service is so stellar here. I decided that the fifth star would have been if they did home consults/measurements--something they said they may begin doing in the future. Here's the breakdown: Store: well organized (obviously), lots of natural light, great displays to give you ideas about how things might work in your space, quick checkout even when busy, ample parking. Contents: They have organizational components for every room in your house or office and every facet of your life. They even have super cool gadgets to black out labels on boxes that are too hard to peel off so nobody steals your identity when you recycle. Need gift wrapping loot? They have that too, in spades, in fact. They also carry great lines of luggage and travel gear. They even have an isle for your beloved fifi or fido. Service: Unbelievably helpful and amazingly knowledgeable. I have been here several times and have always had friendly, helpful service. We took advantage of the 30% elfa sale to redo out kitchen pantry and I was amazed at how simple the staff member made it for us. Just bring in the measurements of your space and a picture or two to begin the process.The installer was fantastic as well. He was prompt and professional. Yes, the Container Store is a bit expensive. But I can vouch for the fact that items last a long time. The containers I bought for lunches/leftover 5 years ago are still in great shape. My pickle jar didn't fail so well--the lids rusted and wouldn't close, and the last one sent me to the ER (my fault for dropping it on my foot). But the shelving has moved with us twice and served us well. I don't need a sandwich or banana-shaped container, but the jewelry organizer still hangs in my closet after 5 years. There are also storage items you won't find elsewhere. I recommend ordering online with the ship to store option. I've done that a lot (even after store visits). We get UPromise points for online orders, and picking up in-store means no shipping fees. read more

Have always had very pleasant experiences shopping here. Employees proactively helped us load our car each time. One time our purchases were quite bulky and required some maneuvering to fit into our sedan; the employees were Tetris masters and helped us pack everything in. The employees brought out extra bubble wrap, bags, etc., whatever they determined would help us transport the items without damaging them. During the holidays they have a huge section dedicated to little gifts and stocking stuffers ranging $5-25. You're bound to find at least one thing for that hard to buy for person or secret santa. The rest of the store is packed with organizing solutions, office gadgets, and stuff for your home too. They even have a travel section filled with products to make packing and traveling easier, more convenient, and safer. I was excited to see they carry Travelon products. This store can get pretty pricey and this particular location can be a nightmare to get to, being in the heart of cherry creek. Those are really my only two complaints. Also the staff deserves an extra shout out because they are always so friendly and willing to help you out or just listen about your day! read more

Look, I love the Container Store and they have great products but the customer service of this store leaves something to be desired. I recently placed an online order for store pickup and then immediately realized I somehow put in the wrong date for pickup. I called the store twice as instructed by the order confirmation and spent a total of 2 hours on hold. I finally left a voicemail because they would "get back to me shortly". It's been 2 days and I have never received a call. I finally was able to cancel my order online. It's unacceptable to leave a customer on hold for 2 hours and fail to return a call. This may be one of my new favorite stores! Aisle and upon aisle of organization tools, bins, trash cans, laundry receptacles, wrapping paper, gift bags, paper towel holders, napkin holders, spice canisters, tupperware, and everything else you could imagine that could help you organize every room in your house, apartment, or car. I can agree that the prices can seem a little steep but this is one of those stores you just don't care because you're so gitty about everything in the store price doesn't even matter. The array of ninja organization items of all varieties has put you in a buying haze and you can't get out until you buy something. My organization is going to get a lot easier these days with The Container Store being on the top of my shopping list. Mulitple options to go "cheap" - nothing is cheap, but you can definitely cut corners and go less expensive. We went with the platinum wires and baskets with the walnut sides The rest of the organizing, and baskets and buckets and random items for putting things away are fun and addictive! Lots of little items for stocking stuffers and fun gifts as well. The staff is extremely helpful and nice and will do almost anything to get you waht you need! read more

Damn you, Container Store, damn you. Never have I loved a store so much that it made me want to work retail. Seriously folks, I applied while I was in grad school. I got through a couple of the interview rounds, and DID NOT GET THE JOB. Maybe now that I have finished the degree, they'll let me work there. If you need help organizing something, this is the store for you. Make sure you pinch your pennies before coming, and to make a list of what you NEED. Otherwise, you leave the store with a cart full of "OMG, I NEVER KNEW I NEEDED THAT" of the Target variety x100. I love this place. It brings out the OCD in me. I stopped in to to browse one day and was greeted by several helpful but not obnoxiously in your face employees. I've been back a few times since then and mad some purchases to help organize my spice cabinets and closets. You can't help but walk up and down every aisle imagining every little thing in your home and reminding yourself that no... you don't actually need that.. because you feel like you need it all! I was shopping for bookshelves so that we could unpack our hundreds of books which had followed us across the country. I had seen Skandia shelves at the Container Store in Elmhurst, IL, and was actually looking to buy some of those. However, when I saw the beautiful contemporary Elfa shelving systems, and how flexible and adjustable they were, and how many accessories they have available, I became a convert. Suzanne and Mark helped "design" the Elfa shelves for my specific application. While waiting for my order to be filled, other staff made sure that I had been waited on, that I was comfortable, and generally helped pass the time in a friendly manner, and even carried the order out to the truck for me and helped me load it. When I got home, the shelves assembled easily in about one hour, with no tools other than a soft hammer and a tape measure. I discovered that I had overlooked requesting one optional part, so I returned the next day, and even though the sale was over, the staff still graciously sold me the part for the sale price. I can't think of anything that could have made the transaction any better. I'll be back for more. read more

If you feel the need to get organized, and boy do I, this is great place to shop. The container store has a load of great organizational items ranging from the frivolous to the professional. Instant wall hooks, coat hangers of various construction, pill boxes, cabinets, shelves, desks, portables containers, and on and on and on. The location is large enough to provide a great sampling of what is also available online or through the catalog. Each visit, I've been greeted by helpful, friendly people. The price point of some items is a bit of puzzlement to me, but maybe I just don't fully understand the dynamics in the Rolling Kitchen Trolly market or the macro picture on luggage decals. For me this store is a wonder of possibilities and jogs my mind into creative solutions for better space utilization, both at home and work. I have to say that I'm not really a fan of the Container Store. It's incredibly over-priced for what it is. You can often find the exact same thing at Target for 1/4 of the price. Having said that, the Container Store does carry a wide variety of containers and is the place to go when you can't find what you're looking for anywhere else. Which exactly how I found myself making a purchase at the Container Store. I bought 3 specialty cardboard boxes to house gifts for my bridesmaids. I paid way too much for a box that the recipients were just going to throw away but they looked really cute. The service was alright. I was told that it was shopping by appointment only. I asked if I could make an appointment. No, they were full. Could I wait outside until there was room available. Warning!!! Totally incompetent on "custom closet" design and install. 3 month nightmare trying to get 2 closets done. Wrong sizing, lose install appointments, wrong parts, can't communicate with instal department directly. Had to call Lindsay, salesperson "designer", wait for her to call install department, wait for install group to call back for scheduling. Inefficient system, incompetent staff! Install people came 3 times and still not done! Had to go to store to get missing parts, go back to store to have cut to correct size, take apart what installer did and reinstall myself!!! Ridiculous!! Oh and had to empty closet multiple times. Also, in the middle of this nightmare....went into store to try and resolve since hadn't heard back from Lindsay and worker told me couldn't do anything about problem in a super snotty demeaning voice. This place has everything you would ever need in order to get organized! They place products in sections they deem is the most useful in that part of the house but you can really mix and match uses for all the little boxes and caddies they have. Some of their products are a little pricey but if you find something on sale it is definitely worth it. OCD paradise! This is a safe haven where right angle-loving, Real Simple-reading neat freaks can roam freely without judgement. I am like a kid in a candy store. I have to go in with a list and stick to it or else I get a little organizer crazy, which nobody should have to see. I mainly to go for kitchen storage, office supplies, and more recently, moving supplies. Came in the other week and just got a chance to write this review that I've been meaning to write. Nice enough store. A bit overpriced. 1 Star because an employee (older gentleman, maybe mid 40's-50's with grey hair and a soul patch) started asking my wife and I seemingly harmless questions, like any sales person might do, but started asking more personal things like "Where do we live. What part of denver specifically do we live in. Where do we work. How close our work is to our home. Education history. How long we have lived in Denver. Why we decided to move here." It was very uncomfortable, unpleasant, rather odd and off-putting. He pried for too much information. Avoid him at the very least if you shop here. read more

Do they have a bunch of bins, boxes, and containers? Yes...thus the name. Are they overpriced? Maybe on some things, definitely on others. I think some of their bookcases and 'furniture' is decidedly on the cheap side. Doesn't sound like a 5 star review so far, huh? But wait..... Their custom closet design product (Elfa) is AWESOME. It's front and center as you walk in, so it's impossible to miss. So, here's my sitch: In my attempt to live the American dream (buying a house you can't afford with money you don't have), I found myself with a couple of walk in closets that needed some serious help. I decide to start with the small one. So, I take DETAILED measurements and some pictures over to the Container Store....one of the guys sits down with me, puts all the stuff in their computer, and, after a little back and forth, BAM, he's got an awesome closet designed. He had some really good ideas for this particular closet (it was going into a kids room) that I would have overlooked. Being SOMEWHAT handy and DECIDEDLY cash strapped, I opt for the self install. I get the materials, and after a couple hours, I've got myself a pretty damn nice closet, a hell of a lot more useful than what the genius contractor initially put in ("yeah, Bob, I think a single rod is PERFECT for this one too!"). Total cost was under $400. Couple weeks go by and I decide to take on the bigger closet. I meet with the same guy and go through the same process. This one is more involved, so after a fairly detailed conversation, I leave and he agrees to email me his plan and the cost. I get it back a day or two later (perfectly on time), and, well....I was somewhat shocked by the price...I think it was $2800!! Eventually I picked myself up off the floor and go back to the store. My guy's not working, but I meet with someone else who is able to pull up my plan right away. I go over my concern (PRICE!!) and, within 10 or 15 minutes, she comes up with a great solution for under $1000. Very very impressed. She even stayed a few minutes after closing so I could get the materials and start working on it that night. The whole process is really well organized. The designers are great. They email you when they have all your materials ready (all in stock but they usually need to make some cuts etc for your specific closet, but we are usually talking hours, not days). The only thing you have to watch is the cost, and, as I found out, they are more than happy to work with you to fit your budget. I've got one more closet to go, and once they have some kind of sale, I know where I'll be headed! read more
