But, boy, when that 1 out of 10 times hits, it's because I've found something really amazing at a fraction of the cost at the main store. For example, I paid thousands of dollars to the main store for furniture from the Tate Collection, and I found two more pieces to add to it at the outlet for around $200. This is high-quality, mid-century-modern furniture designed by this really awesome guy named Blake Tovin. The outlet's furniture might have minor wear and tear from being in a showroom or being returned by a customer. The sales staff ALWAYS points out any nicks or dings to me before I buy a piece. You can't return things to the outlet, so it's a demonstration of integrity that they want you to see what might be flawed, so that you aren't duped. Sometimes, however, there are absolutely no flaws, and you're buying something in perfect condition. I have been lucky in that regard. A bookshelf I bought had one scratch from where a sticker was stuck to it and had been scraped off. That scratch, still, would not have been discernible to me or someone walking by. Anyway, great sales staff and a great store for hunting for a bargain.

I'm not getting help and support on my order from the Knox Hendersen store, so maybe this Crate and…read moreBarrel location can assist me. I ordered a living room of furniture three months ago from Crate and Barrel (Ali was my designer). The furniture was picked up a month ago (mid April) by Fragilepak - the company that Crate and Barrel uses to deliver the furniture. Since then, it's been a complete lack of communication. It's been a month since the furniture was picked up by the logistics company. And after 4 calls to the logistics company, they told me to have Crate and Barrel reach out to them to address the many issues with my order (damaged merchandise, lack of communication from Crate and Barrel) along with it just sitting in a warehouse for the last month. I've contacted Crate and Barrel multiple times over the past month (both via email and via phone). They've basically taken a hands' off stance and told me to deal with FragilePak. I'm absolutely livid with the crappy service from Ali and the team at Crate and Barrel. There is still no resolution as of today and nobody at Crate and Barrel is lifting a finger to fix this shit show.

Extremely disappointing experience, especially as someone who shops at Michaels frequently for yarn…read moreand crochet supplies. I placed an order through the app for in-store pickup and received confirmation that it was ready two hours before I arrived. When I got to the store, my order was nowhere to be found. After checking the pickup area multiple times, I asked an employee for help. Instead of trying to figure out what happened, I was repeatedly asked if I was sure I ordered from this location, if someone else had picked it up, and if I had actually received confirmation. Yes, I was at the correct store. Yes, I received the confirmation. No, nobody else picked it up. What bothers me most is the pickup system itself. Orders are placed in bins right by the entrance, and customers simply walk up, grab their order, and leave. You don't have to show an employee your order confirmation, scan anything, or verify that the order you're taking actually belongs to you. It's basically an honor system for prepaid merchandise sitting right next to the door. Unsurprisingly, my order appears to have been taken by someone else. Mistakes happen, but this feels completely preventable. The entire point of in-store pickup is convenience, and this was the complete opposite. As a frequent Michaels customer, I expected much better, and I definitely will not be placing another pickup order at this location.

There's a tearoom in the back which looked a bit plain to me, but may be worth exploring. I came looking for some replacement pieces for a discontinued china set and came very close (found some redware, that wasn't an exact match) but ended up finding several affordable broaches on my last visit. The lady at the front desk who I checked out with was very conversational and charming, congratulating me on my finds. It's not cheap, but everything always looks worth the price. I have bought art before and have considered buying antiques. Whoever does the buying obviously has excellent taste (Mary Cates herself?). I have my eye on some furniture and also on some ornaments in "different" colors; so, I'll be back in this store next week. Why the low rating? I always feel like the employees could care less if I came to this exciting store. It's VERY rare for anyone to even acknowledge my entering the store. If I have a question, I would have to search the store for someone who would help me. Good service? No, not at all! If they treat other "potential" customers like I am normally treated, I would think sales would be effected, the bottom line; but they seem to be successful and their success makes me happy for the small business owners in Dallas!!!!! Keep buying these beautiful items and I'll be back soon to purchase! Someone has an "EYE" for beauty!

We needed to buy some furniture that was not available at this location (but was available at the Frisco location) and we were able to have it easily shipped here for pick up. Of course, there is the food court on the same floor as the entrance serving much of the regular food you'd expect. Overall, great IKEA location. I recommend checking the inventory online before going to make sure what you are looking for is in stock.

I have been to Sweden and in fact have traveled extensively throughout Europe so I was familiar…read morewith the IKEA brand. It is quite popular in Europe where living spaces are considerably smaller than in the US. IKEA furniture is economical in size, functionality, and price. So, when the wife suggested that we go to IKEA, I was not opposed. The store is divided into different sections, each profiling a different part of the house. So there is a section for the kitchen, bedroom, kid's bedroom, office, etc. The furniture and other home accessories seem to be well made and prices are very competitive. We did not see any service personnel to answer questions during our 30 minute excursion through the store. The only person we saw was at the self check out. The check out is a bit strange. The line starts on the wrong side of the store. It is not clear how a person buys large furniture, I mean, you can't carry a bed to self check out. The store also has an eat-in cafeteria--so very European--serving...you guessed it, Swedish meatballs and gravy. I did not try the food even though the wife was pushing me to do so. The wife ended up buying some small home accessories. In general, it's a good store and I can see why it is attractive to Americans.
