I absolutely love this store! I am beside myself to read any negative reviews. Many people have remarked negatively that the owner of the store is rude. I couldn't disagree more. She is often very busy, but she and I always chat and exchange pleasantries. I have brought many items to the store to sell, and everything I have brought has sold quickly! Her pricing is very fair, for the seller and the buyer. The store has a great variety of items, from antiques to more modern-day items. They have large pieces, like china cabinets, and smaller pieces like occasional tables and knickknacks. I love this store and I will continue to sell items here, as well as purchase items. I love, love, love Resell It!!! I have come to know the ladies who work there and they are so helpful and nice to visit with. Dee, the owner, is wonderful, knowledgeable, answers questions, knows her merchandise and makes suggestions. Recently, my son and I sold our family home. I love shopping local and have spent a fair bit of my money at the Resell It consignment store over the years. I pop in occasionally and once witnessed the owner harass a mother after she corrected her child when he reached for something. The child had harmed nothing and the mother was handling him. Mother stormed out, rightly so and I spoke to owner about her behavior. She apologized, said she's had a stressful day. Today I went in and my daughter touched a large glass paperweight (didn't harm, toss, in anyway endanger the heavy round glass ball) and the owner confronted us about fingerprints on it!! Come on! I was literally taking pics of something I wanted to buy but wanted to discuss with my husband first. I won't spend a dime there again. She obviously dislikes children and has no respect for loyal customers. read more

I've been inside this store multiple times. Every time, the person behind the counter is gossiping with someone either on the phone or in person. They have never once said hello to me, attempted to help, or shown any basic signs of human decency . Owning my own antiques and interior market at one point in FL, I know the importance of getting out from behind the counter and talking to as many people as you can to try and sell is a key point. How this place has stayed in business is mind-boggling. The customer service is a joke and the majority of the items are lower quality than a flea market junk booth. read more

I had a very unpleasant experience when I tried to give this store an item that I wanted to sell on consignment. I first stopped by in advance to see what the procedure was and to inquire if they would be interested in what I wanted to sell. The owner was not there but a sales clerk was pleasant and told me about the process, indicating that they set the price, the split is 50/50, and listing what types of items were not accepted. After I told her what I had, she said that they take almost everything if it is in good shape, and since my item was pristine I was feeling pretty good. A few days later, the wife and I brought the item (solid mahogany TV stand) to the store on a Saturday. We arrived early so we had to wait for the store to open. Once it opened I entered and was met with an angry glare by the owner. Her first words were not "hi" but "I am having a really bad today" and she looked at the clock in annoyance, as if to suggest "what are you doing here so early and why are you bothering me?" I started to tell her what I had in the car and she cut me off "No, I can't sell it." I asked if she would at least like to look at it since it was in the car. She was rude and refused. I then asked if I could donate the item to her store and she could just have it. Again she was rude and said, "No, dude, I am not your charity." I just turned and left in disbelief that any one who is running a business and interacts with customers would be so rude. I would never buy anything from this store nor will I ever try to sell anything there either. To end the story, we drove down the street a few blocks and donated the item to a Catholic Charity, which gladly accepted such a quality item in excellent condition. read more

Resell It! is one of my favorite resale shops. Pricing is extremely reasonable and there are often funky, mid century pieces (what I am usually looking for) that are priced so far below resale shops like Lula B's, Dolly Python, etc. it's hysterical. That said, those pieces walk out just as quickly as they walk in so if you're looking for something specific, get on her email list. read more

I would never go into a place that is so rude over the phone when trying to seek information about their establishment. I didn't have a pen to write the information and she said she couldn't wait, and when I asked to call back, she told me not to. I've never been spoken to in that manner, and would never invest in a business that would think that speaking to customers in such a rude manner is okay. Probably the worst experience I've ever had with shopping consignment. I really wanted to go here because prices were much cheaper than other consignments in the area. However the rudeness of the person behind the counter and how she'd prefer to gossip behind the counter than actually be helpful has made it to where I would prefer to go anywhere else. If you want quality and kindness for a great price try the MANY in the area. Top Drawer is great. I also love Kiss it Good Buy, and if you are looking for cheap there are others right around the corner! I stopped in here earlier this week. Still crappy and unfriendly customer service. In fact - No customer service ! I said hello twice when I walked in and the woman behind the desk was engrossed in a conversation and didn't answer me. I walked around to see what they had - they have a few good items - and the woman never bothered to talk to me. I even tried to catch her eye. This is a great store. I see the negative comments and it makes me laugh. We've been customers of Resell It for two decades. Clearly Dee has her business model figured out and it's working for her. We sell and buy at Resell It. The prices are clear, great deals and they move a lot of inventory. If you need a therapist or a buddy, hang out with a friend. I just called to ask about the process of selling and see what the prices of things are going for, and the owner (?) chewed me out that I didn't already "know the rules" of Resell It! and that means I'm obviously attached to the furniture and not ready to part with it. I explained that I've never sold anything at Resell it, I'm ready to bring the furniture now, and how am I supposed to know the rules? She said she would not discuss anything with me, we're obviously not a good fit and that I need to find some place else. I tried to tell her about the items I'm selling and she yelled at me, "Look kiddo, I'm not going to talk to you!" Then she hung up on me. I'm dumbfounded. WOW~! How RUDE! I love taking my goodies to Resell It! I bring in a photo of my items and they let me know if it's something they can resell. They are very professional and motivated to move items along. I find this to be a much better experience than trying to locate somewhere that I can donate items. Not sure what happens to donated items, but Resell IT! finds a good home for my items and I get some money for it too. Win-Win! I look forward to doing business with them in the future. read more

Owner rushes over and gets immediately hostile-and screams at me to "do not touch that-it's already sold" By her reaction-you would have thought I was smashing it with a hammer! I love this store & always find it interesting! Very fair & reasonable prices as compared to other DFW area consignment stores which equates to more purchase power for the customer. If you're interested in Salvation Army items for antique shop prices with a proprietor that is rude and angry, look no further. When I asked the owner if she wanted to see a photo of a possible antique I found at a garage sale, she replied as she was blowing her nose, "no, why would you think I would be interested in seeing that?" Stunning reply. Clearly she is an angry person and one with such poor social skills that she should not be working in a public setting. Her inventory is 1980s furniture. There are no hidden gems that could perhaps allow one to overlook the angry rude behavior of the OWNER (yes, the owner). There are many truly cool places to shop for antiques in Dallas. My experience at Resell It has to be one of the worst I have ever had. The staff went up and above rudeness- no one spoke to me or even acknowledged my presence. I walked past the counter three or four times and the attendant just stared off. The merchandise is old, but not really antique; and the prices are ambitious to say the least. Most of what you find here is MCM or newer; it is NOT an antique store. I have purchased cute knick knacks, an inexpensive table that needed refurbishing, and a small painting by Texas artist Carol Weber. I've also brought items in for resale and found the process smooth and easy to understand. I'm always greeted in a friendly manner as well as left to my meandering in inspecting things. I love this store! Merchandise sells itself and turns over quickly due to the low prices; that being said, I have consigned some things and have been pleasantly surprised by the amount I have received, for things I no longer want. I found the MOST BEAUTIFUL french dining table (could be desk or even dressing table), I have EVER SEEN there and I grabbed it. If you see it get it right then: take the tag to the counter, I haven't, and have missed out. My week is not complete, if I haven't made a run through this store. read more

I hit the quarter table up every time I'm in the neighborhood! I like the treasures that are showcased- pretty cool place. Staff are always kind to me- and I bring a 4 year old in with me, so I'm sure they are nervous (she's graceful, don't worry). They have crazy awesome sales sometimes where they just stick an awesome piece of furniture out there for super cheap- I totally love that! I love the shopping center- it's very interesting. I just had a very similar experience to that of Stephen W. in dealing with the extremely rude owner of this shop. I visited this shop earlier today, with a question about what types of items they accept for consignment. At that hour, the owner was pleasant, and handed me a sheet with guidelines for consigning with this store. My husband and I are moving out of our house this week, and so I gathered the furniture I wanted to sell, loaded it up in a UHaul truck, which we only had for a limited number of hours today, and headed to the store. There were a few things, like labeling the furniture that I had not yet done, so before we tried to drop anything off, we just went into the store again to let her know we had brought her some items, and to make sure we had done everything that was required. She looked at me in disgust, and said, "Well, you were supposed to call... but, fine. What do you have..." I apologized, and gave her my list of items. She said, "Well, are they labeled?" and I said, "not yet, but I have my masking tape and marker right here to do that now!" She replied like a second grade school teacher, "Well, NOW you'll have to do it outside in the heat since you didn't do it at home!" I had no problem finishing the process outside, but took offense to her tone... My husband, who had not been with me earlier in the day, when I received what I now realized was the Almighty LIST, asked, "Do we need to clean the furniture? It just has some dust on it..." And she replies, now angrily, "You didn't read the list at ALL did you?!" I told her yes that I had, but I must have missed some of the instructions. She says "Well if you HAD read it, you would know that you were supposed to clean it!" Finally, I said, "Why are you treating me so rudely?" and she says, "Look, KIDDO, we have RULES, that everyone here must abide by, and you HAVEN'T which is why we're in this situation!" I told her I never intended not to follow her rules, but that I really didn't HAVE to leave my furniture with her, to which she retorted, "Well, yes, maybe you shouldn't. It doesn't seem like we're a good match." I couldn't believe it, and of course, I didn't leave my furniture with her.... Instead, I left in tears. read more

Do NOT go here. This place will remind you of grandma's house in the seventies after it has been left abandoned for years. The merchandise is faded and/or dirty and just gross. It smells like candles that have been in storage for years. Kind of a perfumed funk. Here is the best part...I wanted to purchase a fan and asked if I could plug it in. I was told that I could not plug it in to see if it would work. I explained that I wanted to test the air flow coming from the fan to see if it would work for the area where I wanted to place it and was again told "No,that the store policy stated that nothing could be plugged in for testing prior purchase". I looked around and saw many faded lamps, etc. that would need to be tested simply by plugging in prior to purchase. The store clerk told me again that "it was store policy and that she knew it didn't work for everyone". Wow! I have to wonder Who that policy Would work for?... My friend and I just looked at each other, didn't speak again and silently walked out to the sound of a 1970's printer loudly scrolling and screeching behind the counter.
