Well.. all I can pass on is what my experience with Erin and A&A was. I have a set of two vintage mod Milo Baughman Cantilevered sled chairs for Directional with ottoman in immaculate condition, redone with bright heavy chrome frames and grey shorn velvet ...I'll include a pic. I sent an inquiry to A&A and received a very enthusiastic reply saying my chairs were great and as soon as I agreed , she would send over the consignment form. Pretty standard. 50/50 split, but if she sells them online she charges you the consignor another $100 fee. But oh and you have to deliver the pieces to them. They have no delivery or pickup infrastructure in place. What kind of furniture store doesn't deliver ??? I explained in email that my chairs will not fit in either of our vehicles ( and I will not crush them in to make them fit ) and I got ... crickets. No further replies. This store wants no hassles , just bring them the stuff, then they rob you of half the value plus and then make the buyers pick up! Crazy. Plus the quality of items they sell is questionable at best. See a photo of these formica hexagon tables that are chipped dirty and frankly look sourced from a thrift store. So given that they want nothing to do with handling their stock ( my stock essentially ) why would I entrust my chairs to them? Absolute gem of a store with an incredible, unique selection and very friendly staff!

I had a customer service issue with Again and Again a while back and initially left a negative review. The company has since made up in spades for the errors they made. I am perfectly satisfied with the outcome and encourage anyone desiring vintage quality furniture turned into visionary pieces to use Again and Again. I am concerned that Yelp marked my previous review as 'not recommended' when I expressed my concerns professionally, honestly and without malice. My previous review was perfectly warranted at the time. Now, however, the owner of the store and all the staff have diligently worked with me to correct the issues and have done so expertly thus the new review which is also perfectly warranted at this time. Looking for unique finds for your home? From vintage dressers to reformed (recovered couches), there is always something cool to unearth at Again & Again. If you don't have time to go by the store, you can often catch a glimpse of some cool new finds on Craigslist or call and let them know what you're in the market for. At Again & Again, you never know what will "pop" up again! Another plus, by buying old finds for your new digs, you are being "green." You are reusing, recycling and possibly saving, oh say, another piece of plywood furniture from being slapped together on your behalf. Why go for that when you can get something substantial, something unique and something that needs you to help carry on it's historic tale? read more

Just got done eating at the Porch with some peeps and decided to do a little furniture perusing. Parking in the back definitely suggested. On the way in I noticed some guys under a tent working on pieces, doing a little painting here, a little touch up there, perhaps a tad bit of fix'n up all over da place. There was a lot of furniture outside, not covered (what happens when it rains or there is a massive snow storm in the middle of July). Some of the pieces looked great, in sellable conditions, others not so much. Once inside the house turned store, as one would think upon first entering, the inner voice chirped, "jeeeez this place is packed full of stuff". Then thoughts of, "wow these prices are really high." Followed by, 'It's so cluttered it seemed there was no concerted effort in organizing the pieces." Then truth set in when my friend said, "Let's drive around during bulk trash, scout the garage & estate sales, mark up everything so high people will think that it's 'that unique' and open up our own place." The fact of the matter is, there are some unique pieces at the store. However, there were multiple pieces that needed that facelift and should not be sold, in my opinion, at such a high price. For instance there were two chairs that looked worn down (the chair itself was one color but the butt pad (seat cushion) was brownish), and when I pressed down on the seat cushion it felt crunchy, kinda like floral foam. Check this place out with some reservation, keeping in mind that being green comes with a price. Break out the marks-a lot and the bedazzler and lets kick it old school. read more

The most ridiculous prices for average pieces. This is the second time I've been in this store in 5 years and the last. A complete wasted trip to the design district hoping the evolved their business model a bit but apparently not. read more

Cool pieces - most need a little TLC - the prices aren't exactly the cheapest. They do offer reupholstering services. If you're looking for something unique and you're not on a budget - go. Some items I would have bought: - A cool mustard green sofa that I would have reupholstered. - A cool chandelier to go in a guest room. - A way cool high back chair that I would have had reupholstered. read more

The selection here is quite good. The prices are about standard for antique shops in the middle of the city (if you want better pricing, go to the less metro area antique shops). They let you pick the pieces you like and will restore it for you, or you can do it yourself. Also, you can bring in a piece that you already have and they will restore it for you at what appear to be reasonable pricing as well. read more

This company is not a good place to purchase from or do business with. I had a situation with this same store similar to the one I am going to describe below a couple of years ago. I didn't review it back then because I thought it was a one time occurance. I guess I was wrong. I visited the showroom and liked a piece of furniture. When I had an opportunity, I called the showroom to find out more information on the furniture piece. I was on the phone for about 20 minutes with one of the showroom staff asking questions about the condition, if there were any problems with the piece that they knew of, the price, etc. They sent me photo's of some of the issues with the piece which I found to be acceptable. I asked what the price was and was quoted the price by the salesperson. I was then told it would be considerably less (25%) because the showroom was having a storewide sale through next week. Because the store's prices are generally high for what the item is, I inquired if there was any further room in the reduced price because I still needed to have the item delivered. The sales person said they would contact the owner Leslie and call me back with an answer. About 45 minutes later, Leslie the owner called me back and quoted the original price and not the sale price which had already been quoted by the showroom salesperson. I mentioned to her that I had already been quoted the sales price on the item. She said she would not honor the price quoted by her showroom sales person. When I questioned about the different price, her response was " well, it's really hard to find good help these days" amongst other derogatory comments about her own salesperson. I couldn't believe what I heard. No honoring the showrom quote, no apologies, no doing the right thing, no nothing and too bad....sorry Charlie..... BEWARE.....With these kind of business practices, I can't imagine how this place keeps it's doors open. (Can you imagine having a service problem with something you've already bought from them?) Doing business with Again and Again in Dallas is not something I would recommend.........ever. read more

When it comes to shopping, I'm a digger and hunter. I'm the one at Ross thumbing through the racks in record speed and leaving. I can scan through the antique mall and spot a find or keep moving in 30min. I want to find those places where old people get rid of their stuff and I get it on the cheap. Again and Again does this work for you - they probably buy from estate sales and the like and then haul it back to the store to charge you for their find. Lots of mid century modern goodies, stuff from the 60's and 70's as well, but pretty over priced. If you want to pay for someone to find your vintage housewares, Again and Again is your place. Me....I will do my leg work all by me sef. Then we can compare my vintage starburst mirror or clock for $15 to your $125 from Again and Again. read more

I was fairly disappointed. There's a lot of stuff in here. But not that much variety overall. My biggest contention though is with the pricing. I'm not cheap. I'm a designer from an Ivy League, familiar with expensive things. But I expect a certain quality, rarity, condition, atmosphere, etc., if I'm expected to pay prices like this. Again & Again has the feel of a low/mid grade consignment store (I've been in thrift stores in Boston & L.A. with a better vibe than this), but the prices of a swanky store. No exaggeration: I've gotten nicer items for 1/10 of the price. No thank you. read more

I walked into the store and it was so packed with furniture that it threw me off a bit. I made a right, but quickly realized you can only go left. There was a woman sitting behind the desk that did not say anything to me. She looked at me, and then looked back down and started writing in a notebook or something. I started to cruise through the furniture, but within just a few pieces I realized those were extra zeros on the price tags. Something I thought was high priced at $250 was $2500! Yikes! I decided to go into the next room looking for a clearance piece or two but I found another lady not willing to speak. It was very odd. I looked over a fireplace screen that I really thought about buying but without any information on the piece, or a "Hi, do you have any questions?" I just gave it a little pat and left. I would not go back, I don't think to much changes there. I felt sad when I left. The 3 stars are for variety or sheer volume of furniture. I took two stars off for price, and lack of personality. read more

CONSIGNORS BEWARE! They will rip you off! Unethical is right! I consigned 3 items. One item was sold way below asking price, I was never called for approval. When I asked for proof that the item was sold for that amount, she told me she didn't have to provide proof. I was told the other two items were stolen and I would not be getting paid for them. The owner (Leslie) was very rude and unwilling to help. I should have read the reviews before taking my stuff here. Not to mention the store is so packed you cant even walk through. read more

Again & Again brings vintage pop to Henderson Avenue with great prices, indie style and lots of fun textures and colors. They really shine when the guys in the back (under a tent) refinish and funkify old stuff to new glory. They do furniture pretty affordably, but I've never had the cash to shell out on one of their sofa rehabs, which can be really amazing. Leslie, the owner, has a great eye for texture/pattern and slick color combinations. read more

The pricing is a bit steep for the condition of the used items. They offer to refinish and reupholster but the prices very high for the quality of work and are not competitive. When the refinishing and reupholstering is calculated into the overall price, the item is way too expensive for what it is. read more

Terrific store. Of course you have to hunt -- but isn't that the fun of upscale resale stores? I stopped by during a visit with my sister in Dallas, and Leslie and her son could not have been nicer or more engaging. I love the refinishing work they do, too. Don't ever consign any pieces with her. I did it twice, because I believed her the first time when she told me she was so overwhelmed with furniture she simply forgot when my table was sold and for how much. She was gracious this first time and apologized a lot, after we came to a conclusion of what it was worth and what it might have sold for. It was surprising when she did it again (and again) when I let her to have a couple more pieces, she was absolutely thrilled over. After months trying to get a status of my property from her (the men she has working for her are wonderful but could not find anything), then after an "exhaustive" search she could not find my pieces in her warehouse or store, made me a "take it or leave it" offer of less than half of what the piece was worth. read more

CUSTOMER BEWARE!! BEWARE of the owner and her tricky unethical practices. I took 2 chairs to have the seats recovered on a Sunday. I was told someone would call me the next day to give me a quote. By the following Sunday (7 days later) no one called. I called and was told that the repair guy would be by the next day to give a quote. Still no one called. I called Tuesday and was told that the guy had not come but that they would call me as soon as he showed up. By Thursday (11 days later) I still did not have a quote. I finally decided to just pick up my chairs. I get to the store to find out that my chairs were not in the store. On top of that the repair guy had taken them to his shop and had already started working on them. When I asked the girl why they would start working on the chairs before I received a quote she told me that most of the time their customers are okay with the price. After telling me that it was going to cost $195.00 to recover the chairs I told her that I wanted my chairs back and she said the chairs could be there tomorrow. The owner Leslie apologized in a smug manner but she only apologized for being busy during the Christmas season but did not apologize for sending my chairs out to get recovered before I agreed on the price. I go back the next day to pick up my chairs at the agreed time and I had to wait 1 hour before my chairs arrived. I became irritated and had some heated words with the owner. After things calmed down Leslie, the owner, offered me a glass of wine. I told her that I do not drink alcohol to which she responded "WELL MAYBE YOU SHOULD START DRINKING". How rude was this to say to a customer who has been recovering from 2 brain tumors and leukemia. I took my chairs to another store and they only charged me $125.00. This company is not worth the hassle and their rudeness nor is it worth the money they OVERCHARGE their customers read more

I bought a brown mid century sofa that had great lines during their sidewalk sale for 160 on 11/3/12. When I pulled out the sofa from the sidewalk I thought I smelled urine, but the woman kept telling me, "I don't smell anything." I pulled the sofa all the way out and didn't smell anything. As soon as I got it in the car I knew. I bought special pet urine stuff and washed everything. Rented a steam cleaner, took out the batting. It was not salvageable. I spent 160 and three full days trying to clean and remove the extra batting/foam. It was disgusting. I think they knew this and sold it anyway (once it was inside the smell was suffocating)--hence, one of the pieces they did not recover--as that's their main gig. I felt duped. I was duped. My mistake, and will never buy used upholstery pieces again. Never again. I would never do that to anyone and I put it on the curb for bulk-trask pickup. read more
