New Location! Fortunately I recently read that Curiosities had expanded into a new location several miles from the original. I hadn't visited this one of a kind shop in sometime and was anxious to check out the new digs. Impressive! At around 30% bigger, the new location hits it outta the park with an even more eclectic collection of ephemera than the original. I could have easily spent most of my time taking photos to post in an attempt to convey the uniqueness of this place. There is literally no junk here. Carefully curated vintage. From taxidermy alligator to human skull. Countertop AM radio to tribal carvings. It's a combination road side attraction, vintage stuff, one of a kind shop. If you haven't been...Go! You won't be sorry.

Very cool indeed! I suppose our visit is during a soft opening period because their official grand opening isn't until Dec. 7th. So they're expecting a lot more items/inventory to come. We're told the garage this place used to be had very recently closed, and it converted neatly into this antique place, specializing in stuff you may otherwise find in a garage of old. Vintage cycles, bicycles, biker jackets, garage decor, etc. Friendly staff. A must see. It completes some sort of trilogy with the other two "curiosities" shops next door. And the prices were surprisingly fair, IMO, particularly for the vintage cycles.

Everytime I'm in Dallas, this shop is an absolute must! Incredibly diverse antiquities and curiosities astounds me and I cannot wait to see what is new or different each time I go. Ive been a curiosities collector for many yrs and their array is *chefs kiss*. McFeemy does many of the preserved specimen and they have a large assortment of skulls and skeleton arrangements. Great butterfly displays and treasures all around. Plan extra time, you'll want it!

It's like going to Ripley's without having to buy a ticket. A menagerie of the occult, the odd, and the just plain "WTF?" Nice people in a quirky environment. Worth the stop.

This is an amazing place to go! It's full of a bunch of valuable and just cool antiques with very reasonable prices! I go here all the time and always come back for more, they have something for everybody. And I'm top of that, the workers are extremely helpful and kind with your shopping, and also very knowledgeable. Stop by once and your hooked, absolutely recommend!

Had an amazing time looking at all of the items here in this shop. The best curated oddities shop in the nation. It's big and is full of well organized items. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The prices are high but the items are so rare, it makes sense. It's incredible!! Highly recommend a visit. Better than any museum.

Pretty neat store. If you're into any vintage things, they probably have it. If you like unique, quirky, or strange items, they definitely have them. You can tell quite a few people have spent thousands of hours selectively curating these items. Staff is super friendly! Items are priced really fair for the quality of the items. The dress and ghost were both purchased!

Wet specimen, pretty decent sized collection!

Such a cool selection! Pretty wide price range, you just have to dig! Everyone on staff was pretty cool, even if you don't buy much it's like a museum. Everything is so interesting!

LOVED this quirky little store! Curiousities is a great name for a place where you can buy everything from mortuary make-up to vintage Disney items and everything on the spectrum between those two points. Staff was super nice and helpful as well. It was my first time in, but this place is many layers deep so I cannot wait to go back and explore more!

This curiosities shop is one of my favorites in the Dallas area! Not only do they have super unique items for sale and on display, but the owner is always willing to help you find whatever oddity you desire!!

Curiosities is a special place to stop, if you have an hour or two to kill in Dallas. The signage indicates "oddities" and the store doesn't disappoint. First of all, the store is massive. There are several rooms that branch off from the large, main one. While Curiosities has a lot of products, it did not feel overwhelming. Everything is beautifully displayed in a way that is inviting. A lot of the store is split up into sections, making it easy to digest the products. For example, there is an entire room full of vintage signs. Another section of the store is just photographs, magazine, and road maps. And another section contains all of the store's vintage clothing and accessories. Curiosities is exceptionally curated. I never felt like I was looking at junk. Every crack of the store is filled with worthwhile items. As for pricing, be prepared to pay what items are worth. Several pieces of furniture, art work and oddities were $1,000+, but that's what they are worth! Don't expect flea market prices though. That's not what this place is about. The staff were very friendly too, asking if we needed any help, holding our items at the counter while we browsed, and giving us some history about the place while checking out. I will happily visit Curiosities when I visit Dallas again and recommend it to others who do too!

It's a true oddity shop, as there is plenty of taxidermy, bones, teeth, broken dolls, and macabre pieces.

Lo and behold, we found a decorated storage unit for nazism and miscellaneous BS. While the questionable "art" alone didn't bother us much, whoever was creeping around us, the person who I assume is the owner, did. It's a shame, because before we had the opportunity to acknowledge that this wasn't a place we should be in, we did find some items that were amusing, a couple of which we were prepared to buy. However, when one of my friends tried to compliment an item he had taken an interest in to initiate conversation with the employee/owner, mostly to break the eerie tension that only came from him staring at us silently from the other room, the owner/employee ignored him, only ever breaking his silence a minute later to bluntly tell the aforementioned friend to put an item down. After about 15 more seconds of receiving stares from this old man, feeling like we might become murder victims, we left, hearing the dead bolt lock behind us. I look forward to seeing this place being torn down.

Not only that, but I've seen the quality of their items, especially with the clothing selection and its always lacking except for indie brands they mix in with the other clothes and sell which are extremely over priced. Its a cool store to browse around and waste time in while walking around Deep Ellum drunk on a weekend, but that's all I can recommend because the store is a waste of time. There are plenty of online shops and resellers holding on to better items, and apps like Depop to sell your items at reasonable price.
