Interesting little store with a lot to look at. I did notice there is a lot of glass here. Plenty of variety to browse through.

I love going to antique stores and antique malls! It's one of my favorite pastimes. I stopped in here on a whim as I was in the area. I always try to find an antique store when I can. Before you get to the entry point , there's a huge stuffed monkey which has a nice, fun feel. There is a lot to choose from . Prices are fair. The owner is very helpful and kind. I am thoroughly disappointed in the actions of this store's employee. I am a repeat customer who loved to stop in during all the events held on Irving's Main Street.  I think one of the best aspects of living in Irving is the sense of community. Unfortunately, I am not sure if The Monkey Junkie shares that belief.  I went to support another business on Irving Blvd, and noticed there was no more parking in front of the business, so I pulled into the closest parking lot. This parking lot was not The Monkey Junkies parking lot. I knew I was only going to be in the business for less than five minutes, and the business I parked in was closed. I acknowledge and accept the risk of being towed from said company.  Once returning to my car, an employee of The Monkey Junkie was yelling at me for parking there. I would understand if I parked in The Monkey Junkie parking lot; however, I was in a separate parking lot.  The employee continued to yell at me until I got into my car.  I will not be returning or supporting this business going forward after feeling so scrutinized & unwelcome. read more

Visiting the area from Buffalo NY I went into this shop to search for vintage/antique items. The store was clean & organized and the owner was very kind. I made a small purchase for my husband who collects money clips. I will visit this location again the next time I visit the area. read more

After the challenge of locating the store in an unfamiliar (to me) area, I had lots of fun browsing their eclectic collection. The overall appearance is appealing, and there's a nice assortment of collectibles and antiques from which to choose. I fell in love with a pair of ceramic roadrunners and now they're mine! read more

You have to check this place out! On street parking makes it easy to stop by. It's a cute shop full of good vintage items from kitschy to collectibles! I found a full booth of salt&pepper shakers and tons of Peanuts, Campbell's, and McDonald's items! Super reasonable prices! I found a ceramic piece for Easter decor that was only $4. The owner was great! He wasn't the type to scoff and assume you're stealing something as you take your time to look at things. He was super friendly and easy to talk to about pieces! Great place. I went with my wife and we got lost so my called and Lance answered. He gave us detailed directions and waited for us outside too. That was a good start for a first time customer experience. They have a little bit of everything from antiques, to old school nostalgic items. My wife and I purchased a few items that just brought back memories from our childhood and bought a few household items we could use as well. They have quit a bit to offer so check them out and you will not leave empty handed. read more

Excellent source of stuff like I grew up with. It is hard to get into their parking lot due to the construction, but there is a parking lot behind the store you can get to off of Hastings. The stuff in the store is constantly changing. I always find stuff I did not know I was looking for. I highly recommend this store. read more

Wow! What a find. And worth the trip to Ole Town Irving. Monkey Junkie has a great variety of of vintage items. The vendors offer great values and unusual hard to find vintage items. The owner Lance was very attentive and knowledgeable of all the vendors and what they had to offer. We left with great vintage treasures. Many items we didn't even know we needed!
