CONSIGNER BEWARE Do not consign with this seller, they do not take good care of your items! We attempted to consign a dining room table with Area 25. Upon retrieving the table after they cut short our contracted consignment period, we were horrified to find deep scratches on the table top and ruined varnish on the leaves, which had been left stacked in an unconditioned storage room where they melted together. Our entire table will now need to be completely refinished. I suspect they wanted to get rid of the table quickly because of how badly they had damaged it. When confronted with the damage they told us it would "cost more to fix the table than it is worth" and that they would take no responsibility for the damage. If you are looking to consign, go somewhere else! read more

While they do not offer delivery, they were able to refer us to excellent movers who delivered the items the same day as purchase. If I could give less than a 1 I would. In store staff is fine and helpful. However their consignment/internet sales staff is nothing but irresponsible and insulting. They state policies and processes only to not adhere then make the customer feel inadequate or like something was done incorrectly. I've asked twice for acknowledgement of receipt of items and then frankly forgot only to receive my first email after I delivered the items to the store 3 months ago just now with a notice of picking 6 chairs up in 24 hours or they would be discarded. Once confronted I was told I was confused and wrong. Obviously customer service means nothing to this place and would urge all to avoid. Will never recommend and only share the insults I've received as a consigning and retail customer. Shame on you! read more

Please know that this is an honest review of my experience at this store. I am a frequent consignment shopper in the Dallas/ DFW area. My goal is to find great products at a discount. This was my reason for visiting Area 25 in Jan 2020. In every consignment store I've visited, all inventory is set out on display with a simple tag as to what the price is. In this store, that concept was different. As I browsed through the store I noticed that each furniture item had two attached tags. A normal price tag, and an additional tag with a picture depicting what resembled the furniture with a retail price and manufacturer name printed. As a consumer and after looking at the pic and then the product, I assumed the picture (that they printed out and stuck on the furniture piece) was the EXACT same product. There was no reason for me not to believe this. For example: I purchased a linen settee for $585 that had a picture of a $2799 settee from Arhaus attached to it. I thought wow! A $2,799 piece on discount for $585, what a deal! The same thing happened with the king bed I bought. The photo attached to the bed was a $3,000 Mitchell Gold King Theodore bed, and Area 25's asking price was $995. I thought, another great find. After I received the items home, I started wondering if they were the items I thought I had purchased. The quality just did not seem as it should be. I tried looking up the items on the internet referencing the attached photo's named manufacturer with no luck. I called Area 25 and asked why I was unable to locate my exact settee on Arhaus's website; I was told it could be the item is discontinued/no longer sold. That's a reasonable answer, and in many cases could be true. I felt it wasn't in my case, so I contacted the manufacturer by phone and emailed several photos of my purchased items. Both Arhaus and Michell Gold confirmed these items were not there products. After confirming the products were not what I thought I had purchased, I contacted Area 25 to raise my concerns. Their word for word response is as follows. "We believe our Consignor's submissions and try to show exact or comparable comparison on many of the items according to the information given to us. Some items may sell for much much more or less depending on how much time and research a buyer has to shop, as with all products." In my opinion I feel Area 25 did not do their due diligence when choosing a photo/manufacturer to compare the items sold to me. I trusted their expertise in guiding me as a consumer. My reason for posting this review is to encourage others to heed Area 25's advice given to me. Do your due diligence before you purchase any item from this store. Had I done a few quick internet searches I would have learned the bed was not a high end Michelle Gold bed, and the settee I was interested in was not a luxurious Arhaus settee, but in fact a run of the mill Wayfair product I could have purchased cheaper online. I'm to blame for this mistake. I'm embarrassed I thought I was getting a $2799 settee (now on sale via Arhaus's website for $1799) for $585. I hope this post helps at least 1 person from making the mistake I did. read more

I am a high end shopper with an elegant home who loves to find top quality bargains. Area 25 is a lovely store with nice merchandise displayed well. The sales staff is wonderful. I would give the store 5 stars were it not for the difficult personality of the owner Cheryl. Dealing with her directly is always a disappointing experience. She will always try to up-sell and sets up her pitch in a way to over inflate the value like a con artist. She is also rude, offensive and fake. For the 5 star experience Cheryl should arrange the store and stay away from customers. If you like nice things reasonably priced, give the store a try and deal with a sales person - not Cheryl. read more

We stopped in looking for bedroom furniture. We were pleasantly surprised by the wide selection of items for all rooms of the house - all appeared to be quality pieces in great shape. The store also carries items in a variety of styles. We did purchase bedroom furniture, but there were many more items we would have happily taken home had we been in the market for them. The store recommended a delivery service for the furniture that was well-priced and top notch in customer service. We plan to swing by tomorrow and purchase another piece that the owner was kind enough to let us know is coming in.
