I am re-furnishing my home and heard about this place from a friend. I didn't know what to expect, however I was pleasantly surprised. The service was excellent. I had all the time to look around and was not bothered, however when I needed someone they were attentive and not pushy at all. Just as a previous user said -- I never heard anything from this store after they charged me to move my furniture to their store. I was the one who constantly had to check in and see if items had sold. I had to reach out to them multiple times to find out what was going on. They never once communicated any updates without me having to ask first. When my furniture did sell, I contacted them asking about payment. I was told "Checks are issued once the consignor requests them. I will set you up for payment!" That was August 12 ... It is now August 26 and nothing has happened. I have never experienced such poor customer service and will not be recommending this business to any of my Texas/Dallas-area friends. UPDATE I posted this review and seconds later received this reply (which, I'll believe it when I have the check in my hands -- and it actually cashes): Hello Haley, A check was cut for you today and will go out in the mail Monday with a balance of $42.45. I spent $3,600 at Furniture Buy Consignment on 2 pieces of furniture. Love them both. However, the rude, obnoxious sales person/manager at the McKinney location will certainly keep me from ever shopping that location again, ever. Incredibly friendly staff. I've been to 3 of the locations and it's what you'd expect the mix of consignments is typical for the area in which they're located. I particularly like their pricing strategy, where the longer the item sits, the cheaper it gets. The inventory changes daily, so you can go once a week and its rarely the same stuff. Mostly decent items, mid-high quality items, relatively fairly priced. I shop here whenever I need something for the house. read more

This is not my favorite FBC because the neighborhood is a little sketchy. However they still have great treasures here. We picked up a Remington bronze statue at an excellent price. There is so much to look at, so many unique pieces to make any room in your home stand out. I've visited this store a few times, and have yet to be greeted when I walk in- although they are attentive when you have selected an item to purchase. I didn't purchase anything the time I visited, but plan to be back. Everything seems to be cleaned well and in decent condition. I'm highly picky when it comes to choosing pieces for myself, but this place has a style for everyone's preference. The scaled pricing is another reason to check back frequently. The store doesn't have that antique/consignment scent to it either, which is a plus! read more

Steven, the owner, not only responded the very next day, his answer was as detailed as my question. I've lived five minutes from this store for a year now but never bothered to stop in until recently. I was looking for patio furniture for our front porch and everyone told me patio furniture is "the treadmill of the furniture world" (in other words, you'd be crazy not to buy it used because everyone buys it and then resells it) so I finally had an excuse to stop in. The weather has been amazing recently so I think everyone else had the same idea; there were only a couple pieces of patio furniture and not to my liking. Bummer, but I checked out the rest of the store and was so happy I did! All of the furniture is in great condition; my husband was later told they only accept about half of what people want to sell there because of their high standards. I accidentally fell in love with a couch which my amazing husband bought for me; I'm currently sitting on it now. It even has that new couch smell; I don't know it's some sort of cleaner or spray they use when the receive furniture or if this couch was unused, because it is in perfect condition. We don't have a truck so they delivered it and the two guys who brought it over were probably more careful than some of the delivery guys from the big stores where we've bought furniture! If it's your first time there, the price tags can be a little confusing; there's a big price for when the item first arrives and then smaller prices with dates next to them; every thirty days (or so?) the prices goes down and at some point the item is half of the original price. Now that I know about this gem of a store I'm looking forward to returning periodically to see what new stuff they have! I do wish they would update their facebook page with new items or that their website was searchable by item type instead of designer/brand. read more

I walked in here with no intentions of buying anything, yet the store is so well set up that I wanted to buy a lot of things. I returned a few days later to consign a coffee table that sold in 3 days! It works great because I used that credit to buy a couch that they had for sale. A little hard to find and the online maps aren't completely accurate but they have some really awesome modern and contemporary furniture. Not my thing but very good prices compared to some of the other Dallas consignment shops I visit. A lot of great art and accessories and lots of sold signs. Everything I wanted was sold but I will definitely be back. 4 Stars for Dallas until they get the online map locations fixed! :-) read more
