We love shopping here, in fact, we prefer this entire section of South Coast Plaza better than the main mall. Better parking, more accessible stores, and they have most fun Christmas tree over the holidays. Macy's always has good products, although they can be expensive. We found an easy chair we wanted but then found it at another furniture store nearby for about 1/2 the price, so make sure you price check everything. I wouldn't buy a bed here for that reason, unless you know for sure it's a really good deal. They also tend to take longer than some other furniture stores, but they offer free shipping on most items. The home section, especially for kitchen/dinning is well laid out, and has a great selection. The holiday's is where they really shine if you're looking for seasonal settings. This store also has Macy's Toy's R Us that seems a little larger than your average Macy's. Of course, there's your standard Starbucks that you can find in most Macy's.

We happened to be in the neighborhood and really wanted a new couch, so we popped in. Great selection, great sales floor, and the guy that helped us, Bill, was awesome. We came in just to look around, and we ended up finding the perfect couch. Bill talked us through it, helped us figure out delivery, and we went ahead and bought it right then and there. Couch was in our apartment and put together perfectly the very next day. Couldn't be happier. Thank you for giving my wife a positive furniture buying experience. It can be stressful, but this wasn't.

She was extremely detailed on how to measure for the appropriate amount of fabric despite not having seen the chairs. Then they told me my car wasn't big enough and made me come back again, all while they kept calling and texting to tell me if I don't pick it up the order will be cancel, even though a staff member had promised to hold it. When I finally returned with a bigger car, the pickup area had no signal, their WiFi wouldn't load, phones were useless, and online chat was offline. After waiting 20 minutes downstairs, I had to walk upstairs for help--only to be met with the rudest, most dismissive associate who gave excuses, refused to apologize, and even told me to "watch my tone" when I was being calm and polite. Other CB2 locations have been great, but this store is a disaster. Chaotic process, unreachable staff, and an attitude that makes you feel like you're the problem. Never coming back.

The worst customer service…read more I started a large order here after we moved. While my designer Michael was great, everyone else came short of competent. I returned a rug and had to call 20x to receive the full refund. They simply could not figure out how to calculate the refund correctly, and refunded me around $300 to $400 short of what I should have received. What really hurt me the most was that I had brought my toddler in to pick up a couple items. She simply held a soft pillow, and an employee came and snatched it out of her arms. Didn't even give me a chance to address it myself. I left in almost tears. I don't know why I didn't speak up then. I later brought it up to management and they didn't even apologize. Absolutely terrible.

I probably should have called ahead, but I got behind and decided to just run in and pull everything myself. Ozzy immediately jumped in to help. What mainly stood out to me was his attitude. He was upbeat and friendly not only with me, but with his coworkers throughout the entire time I was there. Great customer service and just an overall friendly, happy person. I really appreciated the help and wanted to make sure Ozzy got some recognition. Thanks again!

Downside is the pricing but it is reflected in the quality, uniqueness, and customer service. I'm a return customer. I was pretty satisfied with my first experience so I came back again when I needed to further furnish my home. A year ago I ended up buying a couple foshay bookshelves. It was a lengthy process consisting of multiple visits over the course of a month to make sure it was "the one" we wanted for our home. After dropping a pretty penny for them, the shelves arrived after a couple months as expected. Delivery was very professional. There were two movers who moved in the bookshelves and parked them exactly where I wanted. They also ensured the shelves were leveled because our floor was a little uneven. They made sure I was completely satisfied before they left. As they installed the bookshelves, they noticed a defect in one of the shelving units, and went out of their way to report it so a new component could be delivered to my home free of charge. I went back recently to get a sofa. Their website made it very easy for me to map it out in my own home. Their store had the item available for me to see it in person. An assistant was there to give me a variety of fabric colors to consider. Now I'm just waiting for delivery (will update when it comes). The only downside of Room and Board is the pricing. It's a little higher than what you'd expect but it is reflected in the quality and uniqueness of their products and the customer service. I went in with the intention to only buy once so the price was worth it.

As soon as I walked in I got a huge whoosh of their new signature "store smell"--super strong, and it took me a few minutes to adjust to it. Maybe the machine was broken? My nose started feeling all weird. I got to my car and my clothes reeked of the scent. Horrible. Also, don't they know that crap artificial scents are hormone disruptors? Bad for health.
