This is a very dangerous store!!! Window shopping never works here, beware... lol. Love the fact that they have almost everything you need for the home and just by walking around all the ideas you come up with. read more

Lots to look at, relatively well laid out. Some things are a little pricey, some of the storage boxes cost quite a bit more for something very similar in Home Depot etc. I love organizing things etc so this is definitely my store! read more

Let's hear it for stand up business practices! I purchased an extensive ELFA closet system in April and had it installed April 29, paying a hefty installation fee. In June I learned that there was a free installation promotion that began 2 days after I paid for installation. I was UNHAPPY. I told the general manager. She said, "I'll Look into it". I expected a runaround. The next day she informed me the installation had been refunded to my credit card. That's what should have happened and it did. A great place to do business with. read more

Love this place. It's pricy but you get what you pay for and that is exactly what you want. they have a selection that can have you walking around the store for hours. The staff is helpful and friendly. I recommend the container store especially if you are looking for a specialty product. read more

Moved into a new house and came in to get some much needed stuff. They had everything I needed / wanted. And more so......they had multiple versions of everything. Something to fit every price range, from the very cheap to the VERY nice and expensive. I like that. Somethings, cheap is good. But somethings you want to really go deluxe and they had em both. Nice to be able to choose what you want rather then only having a single offering like so many other places. read more

Heaven in a retail store. I have never been overjoyed to see that there is another person that shares my love of organization. I hope everyone may experience the overpriced plethora of plastic...Shop online... read more

Everytime I go in I always have a great experience. I've been buying my Elfa closet gear from here for our houses for 10 years and have always loved how things turn out. Today Beth and Melody did a great job accommodating my needs and in the past John and Jerry Don have always been a great help too. I always appreciate that I know I can walk in and receive help in a very professional and courteous manner! Also their times for creating their closets are great. I've had big closet systems made and small ones and they are always cut within the same day which keeps my projects going without having to wait. All in all I can't think of one negative thing about this store and if I could give them 10 stars I would! read more

I gotta give this place 5 stars just for the people they employ. We got our Elfa closet redone by them, the woman who helped us design the closet was kind, helpful and genuine. Her name was Carol, she was great. If you want to get a closet redone ask for her by name. The man who installed the closet system was also great. We will use them for any future closet needs. read more

Great store, check out their new Russbe Boxes coming out at the end of the summer for back to school.

This store has the worst customer service I have experienced in ages. This was my third visit since moving back to Orange County in August. The staff here border on inept and are completely unfriendly and avoidant. The prices are no bargain and the experience sucks. I won't be back. read more

Normally I like the container store. Today, one of the registers in the back is not working, causing an incredible inconvenience. Poor service during the holidays. read more

This is the place to be if you wanna get organized! They have awesome selection of organizers and containers though it's pricey compared to the others! read more

This is one of those stores where everyone who works here is too busy and important to help customers. They claim to offer design services, but the designers are too busy to help, and then at some point they start saying it's too close to closing to help. And anyway they're busy with somebody who called on the phone to bother with people who took the time to actually cone into the store. If you persevere and get something designed, they have this pick up system that doesn't work, but allows employees to blame lack of responsiveness on "the computer". The Elfa product is cool, but be prepared for a miserable customer experience. Often lots of employees in the store- but none of them are able to help you with your needs. read more

Great selection. Good prices. Terrible service. Every time I come here it takes me longer to check out than to find what I need. Considering that I have never been in a line with more than a single person in it I can't understand why it takes so long. From now on I'll be buying online. There's no convenience to buying in the store read more

Great employees make all the difference. Carol L., Elfa Designer, is a real difference maker for Elfa and the Container Store. She expertly applied her 12 years of design experience to make my new closet a functional work of art. I was amazed by the many product choices Elfa offered, and impressed by the efficiency of the install. Carol's follow up during and after the sale was also a real plus in the Customer Service column. If you are considering Elfa products from the Container Store in Costa Mesa, I strongly recommend you make a design appointment with Carol L. Every great project begins with a good design, and she delivered for me. read more

Big collections took me long time to find the item, there has been no employee around to ask, big line for only one check out, later I found there is another check out place on the back door, please consider put signs for the other check out site. read more

This place is overwhelming... they have SO MUCH! They're a bit overpriced... I don't see why a plastic container should cost so much just because it's labeled use is for XYZ, when you could get it at Target for way cheaper, labeled as a trash bin or whatever. But they have EVERYTHING you could ever need. read more

Ok, I laughed when I found out about The Container Store. Just my kind of store... till you walk in and see everything is VERY over priced. Are you kidding me, $20 for a cardboard box filing thingy. WHAT A JOKE! They had very cheap plain white boxes and I found a glass jar that I liked and a couple other little things. Do I think they were REALLY worth the $35 I put out? NO! but sadly I needed them and have been unable to find them any other place for a cheaper price. So I clenched my teeth and dealt with it. BUT! on the other hand, it was a mother daughter bonding day and she loved it. I don't feel too bad, she spent $80 :/ haha! Will I be back? Most likely for some of the gift bags I really liked for my Maid of Honors bday that is coming up. read more

Even though they were out of what I was looking for (I know because they looked for me), I ended up with a great travel packet. Amber was very good at demonstrating how to use it. Since the product had a lifetime guarantee, it was an easy decision. I love this place! read more

The service was far and above what I expected . I shared that I couldn't lift because of my neck and the recent death of our of our daughter. From then on Melody took over and had the merchandise placed in my car trunk. She is the one who made this all happen for me. read more

I love the Container Store! I came here to purchase plastic women's shoe boxes and they were only about $1.97 each which is great bc I needed a lot. I purchased it in bulk and I think there was a price break on it. The larger boxes for boots and bigger shoes were about $3.97. They also sell a lot of other random stuff like office and kitchen supplies. I could spend over an hour here easily. read more

I love this place. The storage ideas are so amazing! Can't wait to get ideas if we start remodeling our home in the future!

I really enjoyed visiting. This was my first time and everyone was so friendly. It's a typical store. It was very organized and we'll stocked. I was able to do my daughter's room for $100. Plus, they have some deal if you spend over $100. It's right by Best Buy and there's a parking garage right across the street. We really enjoyed visiting this store and area. read more

FYI Pick up in store takes longer than calling and having them hold the item for you and paying in the store. They make you stand in like to tell them you are here to pick up. Then you have to stand around waiting for someone to fetch your purchase. read more

I found an item to purchase as a gift at the Store in Costa Mesa. I needed it by a specific time so I drove all the way there from north Orange County to pick it ip. When I arrived they told be they did not have it at the store but could deliver it straight to my home. I was told it would be delivered from their warehouse within 5 days. I never got a notice that it shipped after 5 days and I called the store only to be told that it has not shipped yet and it would be shipping from TEXAS! Never once did an associate think to tell me that it would take 2 weeks to be received, even when I told them I needed it on a certain date. I had to purchase something else for my gift since I needed it sooner than the two weeks. Major inconvenience for me to drive once again to return it when I finally received that package. I used to really like the store. It has declined over the years it does not look appealing to shop there anymore since shelves are very bare. That was probably my last visit there. read more

Went a week ago and very limited stock. Figured i would wait a week for restock and it was worse today! Almost like the store was going out of business. I went in for about 10 different items. Figured I could would be able to leave with a few things. Nope. Not one item I went in for was in stock. read more

Not great customer service. They are out of the rolling racks that I wanted. I asked if I could buy the displays as I had a flood and needed them asap. There was a cheaper model in boxes next to them that didn't have a display so I couldn't even see the quality. They wouldn't sell me the displays even as they assured me they were coming in tomorrow. And they wouldn't set up display or put together other one that they did have so I could see if that would work. Manager was not even nice about it, it was like she was happy to not sell them to me. Not very customer service friendly here. I shop here a lot and will find another place to get my "fix" now! read more

I absolutely love the Container Store especially the staff. I believe a man by the name of Richard who was helping out my mother and I on the floor was knowledgeable, kind, and personable. When I was ready to check out there was another kind staff member with a smile to greet me. It was the first time I've ever been to the store and I had an exceptional experience. Great job on the hiring! I'm now an organized happy customer who looks forward to my next visit to the store. read more

This store has everything! I needed help organizing my closet and bought some amazing clothing racks at the container store. I was surprised at how many different items they have. During the holidays they offer everything for Christmas such as beautiful wrapping paper, boxes of every size, along with small little gifts. Even though they are pricey, it's worth it to get organized. Less mess=less stress. They literally offer everything to get organized. I find myself shopping there for about an hour just looking at all the interesting things. They have amazing things for organizing the kitchen too. I really couldn't say everything they have because they have more than anyone's imagination. read more

Lou helped me design and select Elfa organizers for our kitchen pantry. He was super hellpful and patient. While I paid for them, he graciously put them together and loaded them in my car so all I had to do was slide them right into my pantry when I got home. Thanks Lou for a great shopping experience! I will be back. read more

I just want to start this off by saying I've worked in the retail industry so I know it's never a good idea to show up to a business shortly before they close. I knew exactly what I wanted and where it was at because I was just there two days ago and the item was out of stock. After battling traffic and driving 23 miles, I made it ten minutes before they closed at 7pm. Suzanne ran at me as I walked in the door and told me they were closed and I had to "get out" I told her I knew what I wanted and they don't close for another ten minutes. She then yelled "I DO NOT CARE! Look at the line it's huge!" I asked her to calm down while I took a couple steps back from her because she was right in my face at that point. Suzanne then said "WHATEVER GO IN! I DONT CARE" and stormed off. I just stood there in shock because I've never been so disrespected like that in my life. I looked around at the other employees and customers to see if anyone started recording because I would have if I witnessed that. I ended up leaving before getting what I came for because I felt so humiliated. If she was so concerned about the line then she should have opened up another register. I'm worried she/they didn't get proper covid-19 training because she was YELLING at my face. I also just want to point out when I went in on Sunday, the line to checkout was twice as long. read more

I ordered some items online from the Container Store. There was no indication that any selection that I made was on back order. I ordered on August 27. I got an email that my order would be ready on Sept 10. I checked today, Sept 10th, to see if everything was ready. Now on the Container Store website, some of my items are on back order. I called customer service. The customer service rep said all of my items are ready for me to pick up. The Container Store where I want to pick up in Costa Mesa says the earliest that I can get my complete order is Sept 21. That's almost a whole month! It's just ridiculous. This is not good customer service. It's also misleading the customer. read more

Love this place! Like a candy store for organizers!!! Employees are always friendly and helpful, above and beyond!

I don't always organize, but when I do, I use the Container Store. If you can imagine some sort of containment system -- whether it's storage, shelving, or other sorts of safekeeping -- this place has it. I've also purchased their Efla systems, and love that they are so easily to install (one single mounted bar at the top, and everything hangs from there). We have three Elfa systems in our home, and probably will get a couple more. read more

I was looking for a kitchen cart and found this place online. They have a great selection and the staff were very helpful and found what I was looking for. They were also very honest and told me which cart would fit my needs without trying to get me to buy extra things. I was very pleased with the customer service. They also have a loyalty club you can join to save about 10% on your next purchase. read more

My wife really likes this store, so when I was having trouble finding an organizer for an ODD closet at the usual building stores, I stopped in. The staff was very helpful and after a long trial-and-error search, they located just what we needed. Helpful staff, stuff to complete the usual & the unusual: I'm a fan, too. read more

This is the best place to shop if you appreciate being treated rudely by obnoxious, portly, power-hungry, middle-aged women. The manager here sets the tone for the associates at this overpriced, understocked, and understaffed location, where anything small and simple can quickly become an insurmountable obstacle. Attempting to purchase merchandise here, whether on the shelf or ordered online, is an exercise in extreme masochism. As a result of not being a masochist, I have placed multiple calls in to the area manager which have all gone unanswered (because the area manager apparently appreciates the manner in which this store conducts business, taking every customer for granted and expecting the Chinese-made plastic crap they sell to fly off the shelves strictly because people don't know that Target and WalMart and Home Depot all sell the same stuff for less money and with a much better attitude). read more

It's that time of year when I look at my Christmas decorations and realize maybe I should do some reorganizing. I have loved the things I have purchased through the years but a few things are a bit worse for wear. Ready to toss and reorganize I headed over to The Container Store, my first time. I also had this huge, impossible wreath to try and find a home for and figured this would be the place to find it. The store is bright and colorful but ironically seems a tad disorganized but the employees are amazing!!! There were many people on the floor to assist and I was so surprised and pleased at the effort this one lady(gosh I feel bad I do not remember her name) because she was a super star. She looked and looked, came up with good ideas and was really super helpful. My darn wreath was a challenge but I found a great item to store it! I think this store has everything for packaging, storage, shelving, hangers, gift wrap and miscellaneous items. It was a bit difficult to purchase the plastic bins when I knew I could get them less expensive at other stores but they have sizes and choices that no one else has. Basically this store is for anything you think of that a closet freak would need or a storage nut would love. Service was excellent. read more
