At checkout, the clerk charged $47.99. When he questioned her she said "no, I show $47.99." He bought it, but I would not have paid that extra $6. Bad business and I won't go back. read more

I love the concept and the execution as well as the customer service of this entire operation. I had never been to the branch here in Charlotte, but they had the same products that I enjoyed from their store in Manhattan. Parking is a breeze. They have every conceivable storage solution and a vast array of cleaning supplies. So why only three stars? It's because the lines were unreasonable. I waited for 15 minutes to check out. read more

"Contain yourself" is their slogan but there's more here than just containers. Organizers for desks, wrapping paper, shelving and even a large section of travel stuff like suitcases and passport wallets and three ounce squeezy tubes so you can still bring your shampoo on the plane! Huge selection of Christmas wrapping paper. Lots of the stuff is crazy expensive. $200 for a shelving unit? Holy cow! But there are a few bargains to be found. I picked up a nice glass jar for under $10 and a weekly pill case for $4. Service is excellent and they'll be more than happy to help you figure out how to solve your storage issues. read more

This is my second time at this store and location. This is a place to get lost with all the home accessories they have. You can easily go in for one thing and come out with several others things that you hadn't intended on getting. This is a worthwhile excursion. read more

This store is always clean and inviting. The cashiers are always smiling and very helpful. There are so many items in this store it's almost overwhelming. But for the Type A person, they would love this store. There are things in here that the average person wouldn't know what to do with lol. I came to find clear shoe boxes. Any possible way you can imagine a box or general container looking you will find it here and for a relatively decent price. Looking for a new closet organization idea on the relatively cheap? They've got racks, mounts, drawers, hooks all for decking out the inside of your closet to be more user friendly. How about that garage. Is it a wasteland of junk piles just looking for a wall to call home? Any way you can imagine to hang a bike, sports gear or just about anything you've ever wanted to get off the garage floor they present the choices of a lifestyle here. And if you're looking to travel soon they've got bags ranging from tiny to huge with a variety of uses. I LOVE this place. Found a ton of organizing supplies. The people there are very helpful, kind, super personal, will help you more than you expect. The prices are a little steep on certain items like baskets and plastic drawers, but supper efficient in other areas such as hangers and gift bag items. They have a really great and unique variety of hooks and hangers for walls and doors. A great place to find unique gifts. All I want for Christmas is a gift card there and a healthy organic products place. ;) read more

Being a type A personality, neat freak & (clinically undiagnosed) OCD, this store is perfect for me! While the place has been at Southpark Mall for a few months now, I just went for my first visit yesterday. Areas are neat, organized, signed & priced well. They have a lot of the common organizational brands such as Rubbermaid & Umbra (two of my favorites). The departments are well laid out - i.e. "office", "kitchen", "closet"... The prices seem pretty reasonable for the majority of items; however, some things I picked up seemed a little overpriced for what it is. Employees are in sight, friendly & helpful. Another element I love with shopping is the "buy online, pick up in store" option. They also have a kiosk inside the store where you can do the same. I have already made my "wish list" online to purchase in store, soon. read more

The Container Store is a great shop for any kitchen, bed and bath organization or storage perspective. On my most recent visit, I was looking for one specific item, however, got so inspired that my home To Do list has definitely grown. What I love most about The Container Store is that it is so organized and clean. Sometimes Home stores can be cluttered, causing it hard to find things, but not this store. Before arriving I had gone online so knew what I was looking for, however, was impressed to see they offered more items in the store. This location is stand alone, behind Southpark mall, with a huge parking lot and several spots indicated for on-line pick up or drop off. The staff is always helpful and willing to help you find what you are looking for, or suggest other items that may meet your needs. Look forward to continuing my organizing and working with The Container Store for helping me get there. read more

I stopped in to get a Jarkey Jar Opener. I haven't used it yet but am hoping it is as easy as described. The item was in the front of the store near the registers but I had to look around. When it comes to storage and containers, this is the spot. They have all the knick-knacks you have seen and heard about but didn't know where to purchase. I left with a few more items than I intended but I didn't go crazy. It was relaxing to look around the store so that I have a better idea of what they have and when I should make another trip. Some items are pricey, but then you sometimes have to pay for simple things that make life easier. The staff members were kind, courteous, and very helpful throughout the store. read more

I love this store!!! I'm not sure how I walked by it so many times without coming in. You can definitely get caught up in here for at least an hour just looking at everything. Almost anyone who comes in the store with someone, even if it's not your first time, ends up saying "come look at this." It's an AMAZING store!! So I'll be honest I stopped in here for one item....on the recommendation of a friend. I hate to say this, but while there I found way more than the one item I purposely went for! The staff here were all very kind and actually described this place as "Disney Land for adults". And I'd say that's pretty accurate based on my receipt. Sure some things are a bit pricey, but I'm more than pleased with everything I got. I recently shopped on-line and did their store to car pick-up. Actually that may not be the name of it but basically they bring your purchases out from the STORE to your CAR. They even have special parking spaces for you to pull into for this experience. At online checkout you choose the time you will arrive. My plans changed and I arrived about five hours early. I tapped the button in my email expecting an angry phone call or a "this service is not available" note. Neither happened. About five minutes later my order was hand delivered to my car. A little lazy of me? Uhuh. In my defense I did have both my dogs in my car. I'm sorry I was five hours early. Thank you for the amazing customer service. read more

Im a hairdresser and was trying to figure out a better way to organize my color tubes in the dispensary at the salon. I was talking to a friend and she suggested that i start out at the container store. Im SUPER glad i did. I didnt know what to expect when i walked in, but the staff were super friendly and helpful. The store was laid out well and easy to navigate. They had everything from kitchen storage, bath storage, closet organizers, cool gadgets and knick nacks. Within 15 minutes, I found the items that i had envisioned.....all in one place....and not really that expensive. I got like 5 items for $65. I had to remodel several closets. Container Store helped me beyond my expectations. At the time when customer service seems to be disappearing from American landscape, the attention and expertise I received at Container Store was beyond your typical customer service today. I came into the store with measurements and basic ideas about what I wanted in my closets. Jamie, a sales associate, listened carefully to my ideas, took notes, then disappeared for a brief moment only to reappear with a complete plan of my closet complete with measurements and all the materials that I needed. Planning a closet was never easier. I also really appreciated the courtesy of the store personnel. Debbie always greets me when I arrive, she remembers my name, and even the details of my closet "adventures". It is also refreshing to see people enjoy working at the Container Store. The happiness of personnel is comparable to good cheer at Trader Joe's. read more

As long as you choose "checking order status" during the phone call, you will be cut immediately. If you sent email request, they will send back to you an standard answer format and never touch/answer your questions. I placed order on June 13th, 2020. As today, June 25, 2020. my order is still not fulfilled. I could not reach anyone, no one gives me answer. I am not happy with this kind of service , so I want to cancel my order. Myriad choices to make your head spin & your organizing fetishist sigh with ecstacy. The staff members are very helpful & will take you or point you to the place you long to be. Even if you don't need anything you will find something you do. They even have terrariums to store your moss collection in! Although I miss the bookstore, I don't know what else could have taken over this huge space. The prices are reasonable for some of the smaller container choices but larger shelving units I know are cheaper elsewhere. I found a nice wheeled shopping cart that folds up that I can't wait to use when they open the new Whole Foods on Fairview! read more

I can't exactly say that I was excited when the wife wanted to go check out the Container Store. Apparently, we need some organization in our lives and it was time to get it done. You can definitely get lost in this store as they have too many items to count. They have products for every room in the house and for any need that one would have and even some needs that would not be obvious. On this visit, we netted a small storage filing box, a spice rack organizing thingy, some kind of dusting contraption and a wall mounted hanging closet organizer. I was organizing my kitchen and bought several organizing trays. Came home and only had time to do one drawer and was going to do the rest the next day. I had to run to Bed Bath and Beyond for something and looked in their organizing section. They had the same things Container Store did for a lot less!!!! The one tray I had already used was $14.99 at Container Store and it was $9.99 plus a 20% coupon off (total $7.99!) at Bed Bath and Beyond. That is a $7.00 difference! They had all the other things I bought at Container Store. I returned all the items to Container Store and bought from BBB. Saved about $45.00! This store is nice and convenient but prices are outrageous- especially when you can buy the same items so close by. read more

Who doesn't love The Container Store? They have all sorts of gadgets that you would never think that you would need. This location is huge, organized and it's equipped with helpful and knowledgeable staff associates and of course it's attached to my favorite mall....South Park. I highly recommend that you join the Pop program when you have a chance. They always send coupons between 15% - 25% off you can't beat that! read more

Container store was great when they first opened but the staff now appears to be either busy or just way too snooty to wait on the commoners. I remember Caitlin designing a closet for us when they opened when we went back she was gone replaced by some cranky woman who was just bored to be there. What happened ? Really cool store. Tons of selection but overpriced. My advice is try Target or Wal-Mart first. If you find what you're looking for there, great. If not, and you can't find it at The Container Store, then it doesn't exist. At that point you should invent it and make millions. read more

On Friday afternoon I went to the Container Store to purchase shelving on the Elfa sale. I had done research and mostly knew what I needed. I came up with one question and went to ask a sales person who told me to find another clerk since she was busy with a customer (who had walked off and was looking in another part of the store). I said it was brief question and would take 5 seconds. Again she said she was busy but I could find someone else to help me. This female store employee would not give me her name when I asked and was not wearing a name tag. She was in her late 50's, gray hair to her shoulders and wearing blue jeans. At that point I left the store and am buying what I need elsewhere. It is hard to irritate me with rudeness, but this Container Store female employee managed to accomplish the task. My purchase would have been over $500, so Container Store lost this and any future business from me. read more
