I'm shocked. Why doesn't this place have reviews?! I am in the process of building my own headboard and footboard....well let me be honest. My HUBS is building it. I just design it and pick out the stuff that he has to put together. haha! We have been eyeballing fabric places for at least 6 months. Trying to figure out how much and the best possible option. After visiting some of the other big box shops, we were discouraged and were starting to think we were just going to have to pay an arm and a leg for fabric. Until.....I ran into Calico Corners. Walked passed this store on ACCIDENT when going to Nom Nom burger. I almost broke my neck when I looked in the window and saw all the pretty fabric. Made a mental note at it's location and was determined to go back. Which we did. We browsed around just first looking at prices. Prices were slightly cheaper than Jo Ann's when it came to your basic patterned fabrics. We were greeted by an associate who knew exactly what questions to ask. Hubs armed with his measurements starting answering her and she and him were in this world of fabric/measarument talk. I just nod trying to keep up, but they were speaking a foreign language. *shrugs* She finally asked what we were covering and she immediately took us to a fabric she recommended and I shouted "THAT'S IT...THAT'S THE COLOR AND THE TEXTURE I WANT". I think I scared myself and her too! HA! We took a big gulp and looked at the price. WHAT?! It was stain resistant upholstery fabric and it was...*wiping eyes*...does that say $19.99 a yrd?? I couldn't believe it. We just stood there and asked...just to make sure we were reading that correctly. Everywhere else had upholstery fabric in basic colors and it was $45.99 or more a yrd. The best part...they were running a one day sale for 20% off. Wrap it up. To the counter. We're getting it. Ready to check out. Needless to say I was thrilled. They have some VERY nice fabrics in their store. The location is in the same shopping area as Total Wine, Starbucks, and Nom Nom burger. Totally will be my go to place for fabric. read more

As Amber said, I am shocked to see such low reviews. Having used Calico more than 10 years ago for drapes, I decided to check out them for a recent reupholster of a couch and chair. They have a variety of selections and I love the fact you can "check out" swatches for several days to bring home and put up against your furniture etc. I dealt with Martha who was extremely helpful and really showed that she cared in making sure I made the right choice, looking at pictures I brought in, coloring in the room the furniture was going in. In addition, Calico seems to have a lot of monthly specials, discounts on fabrics, reupholstry, etc. They have an amazing pick up and delivery process, all included in the pricing, and were spot on with timing of completion. Based on my great experience with the reupholster, I am now working with them for plantation shutters. So looking forward to getting things settled in my new home! read more

This shop has a good sized selection of beautiful, current and curated home furnishings fabrics, trims and furniture frames so you can design your own custom furniture pieces. I want to call out in particular the store manager, Landry. She is friendly, upbeat, knowledgeable, concerned and helpful, and stands behind her products. There was a mis-communication or misunderstanding with one piece I ordered and she worked with me to resolve several issues until it was right. I had signed the order, so she could have been nasty and waved it in my face. But she knew a mistake had been made and worked with the manufacturer to get things right. Thank you Landry! PS this occurrence was 7 months ago. My intention was to write this review immediately. I had an issue with status of drape delivery and installation. I never received communication from the sales rep I was working with and when communication was conducted on my part, it was met with deflecting from the sales rep. I spoke with store manager Landry who didn't give excuses but provided resolution and empathy to my concern. Landry went above my expectations with her professionalism and politeness. read more

I was redoing several rooms and went to Calico as I liked their fabric selection. The ladies at Calico Corners are terrific. They go out of their way to be helpful, which I think causes some problems when there are customers waiting. My husband (white, middle-aged executive type) was kept waiting for over half an hour and finally just had to rudely interrupt a conversation to hand over some samples I had asked him to drop off for me. I also give their designer, Kathleen, high marks. Every selection she suggested was dead on and perfect for my style and space. So, why the 1 star? Calico corporate is abysmal. They must contract with the cheapest bidder, regardless of quality. They should be named "Calico Cuts Corners." Their delivery company, Metropolitan Warehouse and Delivery is completely disorganized (check their Yelp reviews). They first called on a Thursday to deliver the next Monday. I was busy, so requested another day. Was told that they only deliver on Mondays and the next date was three weeks out. Booked that Monday. Received a call on the preceding Thursday to deliver on Tuesday, not the scheduled Monday. Called them back, only to be told that they only deliver on Tuesdays. What happened to "only on Mondays?" Rescheduled for a Tuesday several weeks out. Finally received the couch after waiting almost three months. The couch should never have made it past quality control at the plant. The cushions were puckered, the center cushion wasn't square, the bottom cushions didn't line up with the welts in the base. On and on and on. These weren't subtle problems. Anyone who looked at the couch could spot the problems. But they shipped it out anyway. So now I'm waiting for their upholsterer to come to inspect the couch. Then, I'm sure there will be more waiting while they try to correct the problems. Logistics for this couch is becoming a part time job. Buying a couch shouldn't be this difficult. The only upside to this is that the order was for just the one couch. I was distracted by the holidays and did not place the full order for that room and the other two rooms. ETA: The store manager visited to inspect the couch. Per her recent email, the manufacturer claims that the puckers will settle out (not likely given that the material wasn't cut or sewn properly). The misaligned cushions and base welts are supposed to be that way, even though the base welts are different distances from the edges of the couch. Evidently, that's the beauty of this made in the USA product. read more

We must have not had the air of South Park on us as we had salespeople walk by us with no one even asking if we needed anything; even as we started to look through sample books and a clearly not doing anything sales lady walked by multiple times. This is a great place to go if you want custom draperies, upholstery, and other odds and ends. The ladies here are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful and the pricing was surprisingly reasonable. I've bought a lot of great fabrics here over the years. The designers know the fabrics and are extremely patient, creative and helpful. They clearly enjoy what they do--spending as much time with you as you need. Last year, a fabric I used on my sofa started fraying. The store manager was extremely professional and courteous when I told her about the problem. She helped me find the perfect replacement fabric, credited me for the faulty fabric, and had their own upholster re-upholster my sofa at their cost. It looks fabulous. I love this store! I wish I had known about it when I first started decorating my home. There are so many choices and there are such knowledgeable designers there to help you and make it easy. They really specialize in custom window treatments, but they also do bedding and upholstery and new furniture and pillows. I used to make my own pillows, etc., but now that I have found Calico, I will be bringing all of my projects to them for sure. Had my grandmother's sofa recovered for the second time. The quality of work offered by Calico Corners is head and shoulders above the work completed 20 years ago when I first inherited it. You cannot buy the quality today of this sofa that was built in the 1940's. Calico Corners helped me through this process to ensure that I would be happy with the finished product.
