I can get past the fact that ever single soul-crushing time you walk through the door you get talked down to by the older German lady.
The repair person seems nice and he also seems to know his craft which is why anything else "store-wise" is tolerated.
KNOW this. When you bring your sewing and or embroidery machine in for repair?
It gets turned on, handled, manipulated, run, tested and in my case, ruined even further than when I walked it through the door - PRIOR to the knowledge or handling of the ACTUAL repair man !
I have audio proof of such things having occurred with my machine from when I went back to pick it up immediately upon finding out what was going on.
When I got there, the ladies were embroidering on my machine on a table in the back of the store just before closing - KNOWING the repair man was not going to be there until the next day.
"Look, we've been embroidering designs from the machine on it for the past hour"
German woman snaps from her chair in the corner "there's NOTHING wrong with your machine" Well, there IS because it died. I'm currently working with Janome on this - Take your machine there on the day that you can ACTUALLY speak with the repair man on the phone. Make SURE he will be there to take it in hand when you drop it off and MAKE IT KNOWN that you do not want ANYONE else handling YOUR PRIVATE PROPERTY.
Otherwise, prepare to have your heart broke. Here it is the holidays and I cannot embroider.
The arm is broken and needs to be calibrated because the old woman who kept repeating "I don't know this machine" stuck a smaller hoop on it than the design, making the needle hit the plastic over and over and then in front of my family member - YANKED the hoop from the arm. I'm still in talks with someone to find out what kind of recourse I have. read more
